there was some commotion about this and they finally named ethereum as number one!!! and as soon as they did this everyone started dumping ETH....

why do you think that is? was this a confirmation of its centralization?

It doesnt matter what the rank is! for me I like Ethereum Fast transaction, cheap transaction Fee, smartcontract Innovation etc. I like Bitcoin also but due to its slow network and Huge transactioon fee. Im slowly turn to Ethereum now But as we see in Cryptocurrency everything is a surprise and the volatility is high weither  its Eth,waves,or Bitcoin. no one will spare if the market is down. No #1 or #2.

The price of all crypto currencies are falling. I think it's not just about neo, ethereum or any other coin. From time to time the price of everything can fall and we are going through that period. We will see big pumps in a short time Smiley

I don't see Ethereum Price fall since this news was released, Ethereum price fluctuations move normally, I wonder why you say that everyone dumping Ethereum since they released this news even you ask about centralization. What makes you think like that? I think this is good news for Ethereum

It doesn't mean ETH price will skyrocket, they mentioned one of the best blockchains on the basis of developments. Of course, they give the positive review about the ETH but see the market is incompletely volatile so we have to think about the current situation of the market too.

I don't think it's dumping at all, I feel it's sitting nicely. Come June/July IMHO it will explode probably go close to its ATH, if not pass it. I don't think the China ranking is playing any part, it's just the normal market game.

The whole market is falling, and ETH too. Centralization? Dump? Let’s see the most centralized - Ripple. Dumping from 8.5 to 6.9. And nobody cares China’s ranker, ETH is still one of best cryptocurrency.

Not sure it is really such a case of Ethereum dumping hard, since almost the entire crypto market is being "dumped on" right now.

You can see Bitcoin's struggles for the past week having a severe effect on alts and in fact, ETH is performing slightly better in terms of losses than Bitcoin, so I would not say anyone is dumping ETH specifically. Am losing a lot ground on Litecoin, for example, which is making me sad!

Is this source reliable? I have not noticed some significant dumping of Ethereum lately. There was a slight decrease in price though but it was the same with other altcoins and Bitcoin too. But if this is reliable story then that means the chinese people are not influential in their rankings and what they have to say about crypto. I do not give much credit to the chinese either. They tend to be greedy and manipulative.

I think it's a little bit weird Smiley). As you guys already know, all biggest Bitcoin manufactories are being in China, if they seem ETH is the best cryptocurrency why don't they turn to mine ETH? Smiley). I think it's a fake news to spread FUD and make new investors fall into their trap in ETH Grin

Yep, but we don’t know if its true or not let see what will happen this year with eth. I just hope that top coins will go high again. I’m holding with eth and I will still holding on this coin no matter what the news is.

I think this ranking is only based on peoples vote just imagine the site wherein they need to sign in and to cast their vote to avail airdrop slot? I think this is the result of it.

They ranked this coin on the technology base and it shows that the ranking is given by those people who need crypto technology which is provided by ethereum, mostly of which is platforms for ICO projects. But in reality people know these coins more as a currency and they mostly use it for the sake of currency and even with high technology resources, according to them, it is still lower than bitcoin which means that bitcoin is more favorable than ethereum. While if you are talking about the price then bitcoin is still at a good position than all other coins which dumped in the previous days.

Bitcoin IMHO is the same.  It is still king-- but not forever.  Tech wise, it was revolutionary 10 years ago but today it is among the least functional coins.  It still has the greatest recognition being the 1st but that is it.  Unless it evolves and get updated drastically, it is like a dinosaur (used to be king) that will become extinct.
There are many experiments going on to scale bitcoin to the masses and lightning network is interesting but there are many attacks that can be done but i am curious how that can be mitigated, i am not sure what it means about these ratings and with Steem and ETH in the top two and i am not sure what revolutionary technology they have seen in steem.

The ecosystem is the most advanced currency. As speculation is bad news, the locomotive of the market.

Thank you for the list, it is interesting and informative.

Eth is just following the trend of BTC, unfortunately it is heavily dependant on it. Sad.
ETH is much MUCH more advanced than BTC, but I'd say there are even more advanced ones, just like NEO.

It is likely that when the bull market returns the chinese bulls will pump ethereum and neo and lisk all of which were in the top 5 of China's list. These are all useful platforms, unlike bitcoin which doesn't do much.

It's not even gone down a 100 dollars. That recovery it can make in a day. Market is slightly bearish, so everything is going down. Notice the trends.

Whats? Bitcoins at number of 13? It's kidding. I am not believe of this ranked.
Bitcoin as #1 and no altcoins can be replace that.

It is like saying Cadillac cannot be replaced in the 70s...a few decades later, it is struggling.  Soon, it's fan base (old generation) will all be gone and it will be too.
