The very first thing we should all do is immediately stop purchasing plastic shit from China. We're pissing away our wealth.
Not really... also ''our wealth'' I'm guessing suggests you're from the US? Services markets are the key and I really believe in Unilateral tariff reductions as paving the way to greater economic success...

Captain bitcoin to the rescue imo.  West adopting bitcoin will create more efficiency vs china centralized system.  Maybe we can then supply them with products.
How? You would need to work for few cents a hour to be able to be concurency to their cheap working power.

Oh, Noes! A 404!

Can you find another source for this article or tell us what it was about in more detail.
Edit In Found one for you: http://www.wired.com/2014/06/how-much-cement-has-china-used/

In regards to your question

It is becoming a super power but it still has a way to go, at least they don't mind playing dirty in terms of proprietary information to get the country developed.
http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2014/05/trade_war_goes_digital_feds_ac.html

They must have a shortage of cement since developing countries use a lot more cement than developed ones

Anyways I subscribe neither to the China Threat thesis or the Peaceful Rise thesis

Simply see them as adjusting to their circumstances and trying to get the optimal result prisoners dilemma on a multi sum stage with the occasional cheating of the game instead of cooperation when they think they can get away with it like other countries.

I came through this piece of interesting and mind blowing trivia today.

Apparently Bill Gates posted a tweet about China's growth.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/13...91527.html

It is stated that in the past three years alone, China had used as much cement as US had used in the past HUNDRED YEARS.

What do you think about China's growth as a developing nation and emergence to global superpower status?
