It's technically not prostitution. She did not ask money in exchange for sex but for a viewing.

Laws are open to interpretation, and the cops can interpret it in a way which suits them, when the accused is poor and powerless. She was performing sexual acts and streaming them, and perhaps this was used as an excuse to indict her.

pornography is invented by the jews to poison a society against itself, the chinese wisely wish to preserve the moral character and traditions of their nature, good for them

Jew must have made these too then....

Of course it's always the Jew's fault. They caused the Black Death by washing themselves, how dare they!

EDIT: Wait, would I get banned from posting this shunga? I know it's porn but it's available on Wikipedia that even kids would see this.

She's just trying to make some money without harming anyone. I do not understand why to put her in jail ... Who does not like this kind of earnings - they can condemn her. But for me it is better to earn more than prostitution.
Each country has its own rules, friend. According to the law in China if there is someone who produce, duplicate, publish, sell or disseminate pornographic material will be jailed over 3 years. It my opinion violate moral norms by showing porn in public / social media. But to my knowledge if not wrong this news already since 2016 ago Huh

These sort of obsolete laws needs to be dumped and replaced. We are living in the 21st century, and the laws must be modified according to the current social attitudes. There is no need for laws like this one, when porn is available everywhere through internet.

Oh my! shes beautiful but stupid. There are many jobs to enter and earn money. But she chose that path.

I agree. There are many jobs to make money and everyone chooses their own way. Just now there are a lot of lazy people who are afraid of physical or mental labor.
Why do you think that you have the right to decide for this girl how she make money. She has not committed any crimes, has not caused anyone any harm. It is her right. Everyone's having sex. Do you think that free is less crime?

ZZzzzzzzz..
I feel bad for her. She should just come to the USA we would never oppress our citizens in this way. She's so young too and 4 years is a really long time to be locked up. I think she will learn more about crime in those 4 years than she would have doing her show.

What's the difference where to distribute porn? You are not forced to watch. Typical psychology of puritans. You want to people who need it embodied their desires on the street? Let them look in the net I do not mind.

Where she will take 14500 dollars? When you consider that China is considered a good job in Falcone over 3.6 dollars per hour it just is not able to pay such a sum. Even if we assume that she was earning 2-3 times more.

Heard that she ran out of money for her own legal expenses. So I don't think that she is going to make the penalty payment. The authorities will just slap her with another 2-3 years jail time, which will ensure that her life is completely ruined forever.

So if she knows the law and still violate the law

Do You have the idea about performed actions?

This is enough for the four years in prison and $14500 fine?

But in most of the cases, prostitution is in the grey zone.

Check the printed advertising of Prostitutes around Foxconn in China, where are made the iPhones
https://youtu.be/bKLsWLbnr3U?t=6m38s
So going on the Chinese miracle. It seems to me that this suggests that China's economy is very vulnerable and it will take quite some time and it will collapse if the West wants it.
Here I am a little disagree with you about the economy of China. When the whole world was in crisis, only the Chinese economy recorded a smooth and stable growth.

I dont feel pity at all for anyone found wanting to have break the law of the society so far the sentence is carried out following due process. whether that is fair or not, will be another discussion. The reason why we have laws is to prevent anarchy and so far it has been agreed by majority of the society that this is how we want to regulate our activities, any other person doing contrary to that is treated as an outcast and even punished to serve as deterrent to others.
Well, what can I say is that you are lucky that you are not her, and hoping you cannot do the same thing if you are in same situation.
I don't agree with what she did but it is better compare to becoming a drug pusher or stealing money. Good thing that she is only jailed for 4 years, a great lesson in her life and from all of the female out there doing same case.

A jail sentence of 4 years guarantees that she will never be able to get a good job in the future. Her relatives will shun her, and no one will be ready to marry her. That is, if she survives her jail term. Chinese prisons are some of the most dangerous in the world, and for the newcomers it can get really tough.

Oh common... She was not engaging in any terrorist activity. She was not using Ammonia fertilizer to blow up restaurants and pubs. She was just trying to earn some money, by using whatever skills she had. The laws in China are pretty stupid, and such laws needs to be repealed.
