I think most supplier and manufacturer are from China, even the famous or expensive brands like Nike, Apple, Canon, Adidas, etc because the items that are being used are cheaper in China. It is why most products nowadays are made from China, even their products are not durable enough they are still cheap.
the smallest capital and a large profit is the slogan for all companies that have factories in China...
the majority of the world's population is only concerned with price and not quality, and China offers cheap raw materials and low employee salaries to attract investors to go there, my advice is for important items such as cellphones and vehicles, don't buy Chinese products because they are at very risk of being damaged quickly.
If you are going to buy an electronic good then it is very rare to find a product which is not made form chinese and as you said every cellphone parts are made in China so no matter how much you are paying there will be a Chinese product present in it.But when it comes to Automobile they are still crap and most of their brands just copy the international car models.Even you can buy Rolls Royce copy for few thousands.
They copy them because they make them there... When you say don't buy Chinese, most of the time, you ARE buying Chinese. And then they easily siphon out whatever technique, design, trade secret the plant there does and gets spread to the Chinese companies. Ie: you had a workforce working years for Ford, Chevrolet whatever, Trump got angry and made them pack and return. What do you think happens to that workforce? They already know a lot...
Globalization: The genie is out of the bottle. There is no going back to the 50ies anymore. No amount of protectionism can make America make things again, because if they do, they are too expensive, and are not as good as, say, Europeans. Except the rare exception like Tesla, but look at what talents Elon brought to that company and how he lowered costs (robots). See, the American wage is just too high, that's why Americans don't make things anymore; at least not in mass quantities like the Chinese and other Asians can.
When was the last time you checked where your product was made? Apple "Designed in LA" garbage writing to not admit they made it at suicide factory Foxconn?
