I am no expert, just want to share my personal opinion Grin
Just like in weekend, people are taking profit, perhaps the same rule applies to bitcoin in this christmas in particular
We need more money to spend on Christmas compared to any other month, that's why people are cashing out for it

Hi,

I don't think that Christmas or holiday affect bitcoin moves, but I guess that the period of the year does. Every year, we can observe chaotic moves in December (generally increase in prices) and then a "stabilization" (bitcoin is still volatile, but a bit less let's say) in January.

There also tend to be chaotic moves in summer. I guess that it correspounds to periods at which people are making a point. What they have won, what they have lost. And depending on the result, they invest or they sell.

Makes sense, right?

During holidays, bitcoiners sell their bitcoins for the purpose of buying gift or for other expenses for the holidays. Since they sell their bitcoins, its supply increases thus resulting to decrease on bitcoins' price. Then when there's an increase in demand, then increase in price will be the result..

Does Christmas or any holidays affects bitcoin?

think of the following: Have you seen any exchange suspend your activities during the Christmas period? I still have not seen this happen, have you ever seen any rendered service provider with bitcoin not operating during the Christmas period? I still have not seen it... so people are still doing trade normally and it seems to me that the price is still the same in this period. this year because of the hard forks scheduled for this month and the future was a very agitated December month. but last year if i i remember correctly, the price was stable, it was like a normal day... I may be wrong.

I think it effect to bitcoin in 2 ways: negative and positive.
- People need money to buy stuffs so they gonna sell Bitcoin and make the price down
- Or else, people use Bitcoin as the payment so they gonna buy more bitcoins and it makes the price up.

As most people will have to sell bitcoins to have money for the holiday, it will affect the price of bitcoin though it may insignificant as to cause a crash in the price of bitcoin,  but definitely it will affect the price of bitcoin.
Hopefully, by the middle of January, the price of bitcoin would have come  back to normalcy.

The price of bitcoin started get down because lot of people selling bitcoin to get money for celebrating Christmas. Bitcoin price also depend on supply and demand. Now supply is more than demand. But be patient, bitcoin price will started increasing again.

according to me what i think is that during the Christmas holidays people will have to do shopping and buy many gifts for the loved ones so there will be a drop but i assure you this drop will not be very high and the drop will recover very fast. because many investors are already ready to buy bitcoins  during the christmas dump.. so according to me there will be chance to buy the bitcoins cheap in the holidays  Wink dont miss the opportunity who are real investors  Roll Eyes

Ha ha.Bitcoin is independent of all the mentioned factors.Since bitcoin price is not able to controlled by government, private sectors.Did you think this holidays and all affect the bitcoin. Not at all.Bitcoin is the decentralized digital currency, this is the reason for the price raise often. When the price of bitcoin is dump means, inverse your money. If it's pump means, sell your holding bitcoin.

In my opinion Christmas or any holidays does not affect bitcoin pricing its just that normal activity of bitcoin such as fluctuations happens during this time but regardless of any occasion bitcoin will pump or dump depending on its flow in the market I think this drop is only a preparation for the next pump and highest value for bitcoin in its records. So don't worry and relax bitcoin will not going to die

Many are now busy buying gifts for loved ones and attending Christmas parties. And as a person keeps trying to earn more bitcoin to accommodate special requests from loved ones, it makes them trying hard to earn more bitcoin in a short period of time which also makes the increase on bitcoin' s price.
