It has been a couple of months already since I was given the vouch copy by OP here I would just like to to update everyone that the suite still works fine. The entire package of software that I have downloaded and used (in both my primary PC and a VM) is as follows:
- Premiere Pro
- Animate
- Photoshop
- After Effects
- InDesign
- Illustrator

No you don't need to install previous versions. You can activate 2017 version apps directly with this method.

I installed Premiere Pro and After Effects with this method recently. I can confirm they work for Windows 10 64-bit and that the applications that I had previously installed using the modified Creative Cloud license provided OP is still working perfectly, at least from now. The method would probably stop working at some time similar to other methods that use ways related to this one. I will make sure to update on here if any of the licenses cease to work or if any inconveniences pop up for any of my Adobe products. I still have it installed solely on a VM.

I installed Premiere Pro and After Effects with this method recently. I did a full review this time on a completely fresh and never used Windows 10 fully updated virtual machine. I followed the guide and downloaded Photoshop. I went through all the steps making sure to follow them very closely, as I was not familiar with this process. After going through all of it and executing the last step, Photoshop did not display any trial warning and looked to be completely activated. I followed the same steps with Adobe Animate and Adobe Illustrator. Both of these programs yielded the same result.
As of 7/29/2017 I can confirm that the method is completely functional.
