Thanks to everyone who has played so far!

There have been 55 orders total and nobody has bought the 30 tickets @ 15% discount yet.  Smiley

We are beyond the halfway point. What are you going to do with ~230 BTC?

In case you guys were wondering what this type of hashing power looks like....

So it's a little hard to get a shot of the entire room because it is so small. The room most of the GPUs are in along with the singles is just 9x16 to make the most of the three tons of AC.

Here is a shot through the side door looking that the rack farthest away in the previous picture. You'll notice that the bottom rack is empty. This will be the home of the 4 mini rigs. If they are too big to fit on the rack, I will remove it and they will sit on the floor.

Here is a pic from outside of the room but still inside the warehouse. You can see the HVAC ducts to push all cooling into the room.

Since I only have three tons of AC at the moment, some rigs are still in the warehouse portion. With cgminer, they self regulate to 75c.

Would this also not work well on p2pmining.com ?

It should if their server can handle the load. Last time I checked, they were at 10Gh. So we would take them to 6x their normal volume.

Think. Positive. Thoughts.
Question:
How would this work with p2pool?

Hi VoluntaryMan,

We could point the hashing power to a p2pool node but our miners are not optimized with the proper settings for p2pool. I was also going to use my BFL singles rig to run the contract and they do not work well with p2pool.

My recommendation would be to run the contract on a large pool (deepbit or slush) if you are feeling lucky or abcpool.co if you want to get close to the PPS payout.

GPUMAX is not selling many shares lately so these are the best strategies IMHO.

Best,
gigavps

What do you think is the best pool to point 50Gh at for a week?

Welp, my intestinal fortitude is insufficient to set up a running ecoinpool, even after an entire weekend blown on trying to make it work. I just realized (again) how much I loathe tracking down and compiling dependencies for linux programs, and then attempting to learn how to use a complex script-based language/config syntax for debugging. Ah well, if it were easy everyone would do it and that wouldn't be too good either.

If compiling linux libraries isn't your thing, maybe poolserverj would be a bit easier to setup.

Last I heard, it was abandoned, or at least unmaintained. Also, eeew java. Grin
Nvm, it was just a bit of an exercise to see how easy it would be or whether I could do it, not anything that I needed for a project.

I'm in for 90 tickets for 36 BTC.

If anyone wants the pro-rated amount of BTC mined from the 7M+ shares if we win, send any amount to: 1RaFfLeY1bqDhR1ZPpsTxXa64Q4MPxXki. Must send from personal wallet. Anything over 36 coins total will be refunded to the sending address. Example: 0.360 coins gets you 1% of mined coins. Otherwise, I'll take all proceeds from 90 tickets.

PM me for the email I used when buying tickets to verify hash if you wish.

Offer good until 1 hour before draft.

What do you do with 230 btc?

I would most certainly take the btc and have it start working for me on GLBSE.

I have been doing real good staying away from the Casino this year and investing all my spare cash into mining equipment as I used to have a small gambling problem.  Now I frequent these forums more and more and low and behold, I find this post.   Well,  I have will power and one main rule when it comes to gambling.   GO BIG OR GO HOME!     Needless to say I will be purchasing tickets before your deadine and thank you for the offer.

Hopefully we're not resuscitating anyone's gambling problems, but our thinking with this raffle was just that - GO BIG!  The bigger the reward the bigger the risk for Gigavps and me, but that's also what makes it more exciting!

I'm especially excited for the winner, whoever that ends up being.  What do you do with 230 btc?  Hold on to it until btc prices hit $30 again?  Do you invest it on GLBSE?  Do you buy yourself a new flat screen TV and an xbox?  Smiley
