What is the chance of having a 3-month pool luck at 97.29% when btcguild is the 2nd/3rd largest pool?
It must be pretty low I guess, right?

Eligius, a little under BTCG, is at 95% for 90 days.  Someone is having good luck, and it doesn't seem to be any of the big pools.

Size has nothing to do with Luck. If someone is having bad Luck, it does not imply that someone else is having good Luck. Luck does not balance out, it just averages out over time. Luck is just that, Luck.

Hey miners!
I've made a Webinterface-API wich is free to use, very simple! (exclusive for btcguild)

Check out the thread!

Good thing you were on the spot and not out eating at Taco Hell or Burger Barf or McBraaack!!

Wouldn't have made a big difference.  I don't leave the house without a laptop and 4G personal hotspot.

I thought you said you dont leave the house. Shocked
Busted.. Tongue

You have no idea how true that is for the last few months.

Block 293508 is now listed by BTGuild, but after 16 mins and one confirmation block it was not yet listed in the pool stats.

It took ~17 minutes for the block after 293508 to get solved.  Within a minute of 293509 getting solved (by Eligius), 293508 was paid to everybody and appeared on the PPLNS Stats and Dashboard pages.

The block was listed on the Pool Stats page within 1 minute of the block being found.  Just like how 293511 is currently on the pool stats page but not yet paid/listed on the PPLNS Stats or Dashboard pages (because 293512 has not been solved on the network giving our block a confirmation).

With the change if fee, has the crediting of blocks to the pool changed to 1 confirmation ?
I noticed that block 293443 was on blockchain.info for 6 minutes, but not listed by BTCGuild.

Here's how it works:

1) Block is found by BTC Guild.
2) Within a minute, the frontend recognizes the block and it's listed under Pool Stats.  This process also identifies which 10 shifts will get paid for the block.
3) Once the block has a confirmation, the block is credited to the appropriate shifts.

So BTC Guild is still offering the near-instant rewards, you don't have to wait for the block to hit 100-120 confirmations.  It just waits for another block to confirm its own block before applying the reward to accounts.  To date BTC Guild has never had a block get orphaned after another block built off it (it's extremely rare to have a blockchain re-org beyond a single forked block).

EDIT: Obvious exception for the 0.8 hardfork orphans with regard to BTC Guild not having a block orphaned after another block confirmed it.

Block 293508 is now listed by BTGuild, but after 16 mins and one confirmation block it was not yet listed in the pool stats.

I suspect that the current problems or changes has thrown off the estimated hashrates. or, somebody threw a 25% hashrate gain my way.  Shocked

Speed estimates should be taken with a grain of salt after any kind of outage.  It can cause....weird things to show up.

I figured as much, thought i would mention it so others wouldn't panic.

Yes, immediately after posting it was back up it went down again.  I'm looking for the cause.  Mining is back up again at the moment.

Says my credentials is wrong, altho i've been using this CLI for along time.
