If you really care about your project, you would need to offer a bigger prize for the winner, or hire a single person who do the work for you. In this way you will just get crappy images or Photoshop tries powered by YouTube tutorials. Not many people would take this work for just the chance of getting 23 USD. Just being honest with you 
This is just a fun side project where fellow bitcoiners can earn some coin by participating. No need to dump a ton of money on a logo. If I wree starting a co like coinbase or bitpay then I would agree with you.
