No worries, and I do agree with what was said above. if anything, this has proven your integrity.

My personal opinion over here from the sidelines:  Take your time and fix the pool.  Keep it down while you work on it, bring it back up nice and tight, and you'll have people jumping back in no time.

Wow, thanks Effayy, the pool is nearly solvent now - I'm just waiting for a bitcoin transfer of mine to get to btc-e so that I can exchange it for Litecoins to forward to the pool and then we'll be there.

Hey Froggy, considering you shut down the pool before I had a chance to work back what was over-allocated, just give me your LTC address, I'll make up for some of that loss.  I'm not one to keep what isn't technically mine, anyway.

Edit: Just found your address above. I'll pop over some LTC now.

I'm totally overwhelmed by you guys, you're all great.  Maybe I'll see if I can just get a stock Simplecoin installation done next weekend or something, once everyone has been paid from the current pool.  At least that way I'd be working with proven code.  I think I went wrong when I just recoded everything to ahem, make it better.

I'd agree,

If anything, this ordeal has show your high personal integrity.  That's harder to come by than coding skills Wink

If you fix your pool you can count me in.

Thought the pool was going to be really good and something I could be proud of, but I guess I need to do something else.

it still can be  Smiley just consider this is one of those nasty speedhumps they seem to put along every road nowadays.. unpleasant.. slows you down.. but you can soon get back on track

once you have had some time to rest and come to terms with whats happened, try contacting the miners via email/here as im sure most will happily return any wrongly awarded funds
presumably the database recorded the amount of shares everyone put into the glitchy blocks so its not impossible to trace records and work out who should have got what, and who got more than they should have etc
most importantly you can figure out how much they should pay back (if they are honest folk...)

dont lose hope, you arent the only one who wants this pool to succeed

On the way should be enough to cover what's showing as my negative balance Froggy. Don't beat yourself up man--I'd still mine with you.

Thanks Vanderbleek.  If you can send any excess you think you may have had to  LgAjJAFVUjQVmNHRYqxGm87ZvrASmYS9m2 they'lll go back into the pool toward what's owed to everyone else.

Cheers terrytibbs too - was good seeing you as a regular in the hashrate table.

I'm really in an emotional mess here. Thought the pool was going to be really good and something I could be proud of, but I guess I need to do something else.

What's your address? I think I wound up with some of the mis-apportioned coins. I'd like to give them back.

Thanks guys, you are great and bringing a little tear to my eye here.  It's OK, I think it's best for me to just keep things shut down, at least for now and probably for good.  It's probably a case of my coding being icky rather than anything suspicious.  I'm just too exhausted right now with all the work I've put in.  I've transferred my entire personal holding of 1679.74 to the pool - just have to buy another 465.26 on the exchanges to transfer in and it should enable everyone to be paid.

Wolf, I have a feeling that part of the withdraws might have come from the auto-withdraw feature.

i must have come along at an unlucky time then, sorry if i seemed impatient..

dont worry about the fractional amount, it set my balance (0 since i was new lol) into the negative, if the relatively small amount of shares i put in put it positive you can put that towards reimbursing those who lost real amounts

i think you should not throw in the towel just yet, you did have a good thing going here and since you are being honest and trying to fix the problem i think most would give you another chance

perhaps naming and shaming those who cashed out the obviously higher than should of been payments might help  Wink

you should definately try and get to the bottom of exactly what happened and WHY because paying out thousands instead of 50 is kinda suspicious

best of luck

Froggy,

I'm willing to keep my kHashes pointed at your pool if you need it to make up for the glitch. Stuff happens, and otherwise your pool's been swell.

+1 me too

make sure to reply so I'm not pointing em at something empty!

Really sorry about this, thing just aren't going right - I've spent a lot of time and energy on trying to make a good pool but I know when it's time to fall on my sword.  I'll be stopping the pool as soon as I've posted this.  Please withdraw your balances if you can (see below).

As a bit of background, there were a couple more glitchs that happened today and somehow the pool allocated an extra 1747.59999999 Litecoins between pool members for block 478 and did the same for block 479.  This is just one glitch too far.  I tried to be fair when adjusting things to correct members' balances but possibly that was a bit off too.

Some members have already withdrawn balances from the 3495.19999998 which was incorrectly allocated, so the pool as a whole is vitually empty now. I'll be sending some of my own Litecoins from my own pocket to top it up so that everyone can withdraw their balances.

If you feel you have been unfairly treated, please post here with any relevant calculations for me to consider.

Wolf, if you can tell me your litecoin address I'll send that 0.47039161089352 LTC directly to you.

Ah man, that's rough.  Sorry about your bad luck =(.

Don't worry about fixing mine, no need to kick a man while he's down.

I sincerely hope you have better luck with your future endeavors!

edit: infact you can keep what's left if you need help paying back other folk.  user id 423
