Yeah I was wondering if I could get 1 monero virtually since I don't want to bother you as much as mailing a coin to a sanctioned country and they might think you are helping us to build nuke somehow Smiley .

I don't know why my addy is too long lol :

Also is there a need for payment ID by any chance? I don't know exactly how monero works and I'm using " coinwallets " .

Is the face value on the coin 5XMR? Would be worth noting so I can pick up some XMR and fund these coins when you start selling them Smiley

Yes face value = 5 XMR

Currently they are meant to store the private spend key in base64 format. There is only enough space to store such a key of this size.

I do not know of a publicly released version of software that does this. Although there may be one that exists that I'm not aware of.

I have a python script I edited to create random 30-character mini-keys.  Not sure if there's any interest for me to make it public, but I may share if there's any need/want for it.

I love this.  Is there a decent how-to with best practices for creating the private keys to work behind the hologram?  You're releasing hundreds of these into the wild, this might be useful.

I do not know of a publicly released version of software that does this. Although there may be one that exists that I'm not aware of.

The alternative would be to store the hex version of the private spend key (half on one side and half on the other bit that may cause problems when attempting to redeem and get the hologram off of the paper insert.

Looks like there is time so I may end up releasing a version of my software that does this. But as of right now I can't promise that just yet.

As you can imagine just shipping these will take some time.  Smiley

edit: On second thought you could use a site like http://tomeko.net/online_tools/hex_to_base64.php?lang=en to convert the hex private spend key to base64.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of this site. It would be best to test the conversion and redemption process with a tiny amount of XMR to see if the conversion works. You could even do it on testnet so you don't lose any funds that matter.

Also be advised that using a 3rd party website could allow for keys to be compromised. Do a test... Of course you could possibly load the page, then disconnect from the internet and input your hex string (generated from moneroaddress.org offline) to convert to base 64 then print it and close the page etc.

**Please be advised that I am not offering this as actual advice to use but more as options for those who want to assemble a DIY coin with the brass giveaway coin.

Wow, cool! Thanks smoothie! May I ask rusty the what the reason for this giveaway is? The recent price rise of monero? Sending you a PM now.

These coins were minted in May.

I've just gotten around to one of their purposes in this giveaway.

The idea was always to further monero awareness.

Best tried and true method that I have used was posted here, it's slightly old, but probably all still valid  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg8246348#msg8246348

Also, for the less paranoid/technical, this site could be used offline to generate keys etc.

Please do not attempt to get me to send multiple coins to a single person who has access to multiple addresses. I will not ship more than one coin to a specific address for these giveaway coins.
In my eyes, this giveaway failed before it even began. Good luck to the others willing to DOX themselves for 1 coin.
I value my privacy but will be applying to get one.
I have an address that all my mail goes to that has no connection with me and it won't be my name on the parcel.

Do you think the people that purchase goods from the darknet marketplaces dox themselves everytime the receive a package?

I will send my email today, hopefully i can find you pgp key without too much trouble.

Sent you an email for a coin, thanks. Hopefully you can ship to Canada. Really looking forward to this, as it will also be my first physical crypto coin.
