Is there a website where I can see the value of this "coin"? What if you buy 1000 Monero for 1 BTC and the value ends up at 100 sat per Monero..

It's too risky to set a price to 25k sat when you don't know the wants and the demand of the coin
Sure we do. This thread is a market: we have an order book that shows a supply-demand crossover point that sets the price. This is no different from a "real" exchange like Cryptsy/MintPal etc. except for the inconvenience.
The best guess for starting price when we do get on an exchange would be the current price from here.
Furthermore the trading volume on this thread is much higher than many of the coin pairs on many "real" exchanges.

No, this is no longer going to be implemented after a vote showed the majority against it. But a minimum subsidy (i.e. a small inflation) may be implemented in the future to secure the blockchain ~8 years out.
No the eventual total is still 18 million in a LONG time (many, many years off). In the short term the mining reward over time is being cut in half both prospectively and retrospectively.

Yeah that seems to be how the fix will be done, although the development team is still working out the details. Everyone equally, so no one is adversely effected. It is just that new coins will each be worth twice as much as old coins. The total outstanding circulation will be
cut in half as well.
