Hey Phil,

bobsag3 tells me that we just reached min. hashrate for R9-12 this week.

Also, copy/pasta from other threads:

To simplify things and reduce clutter we're locking R9-12 and moving discussions to this new mega thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/black-arrow-r9-12-threads-dz-miners-co-op-plz-move-s-and-discussion-here-328996

Thanks! See you there!

 an update

so we are up to about 2th  and should be at 3.4th correct?

this chart shows 3 miners

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=302

miner 1 = 1688  gh  that is full speed

miner 2 =  0             what would be full speed? 1680?

miner 3 = 400 gh    what would be full speed?

Great news! 1.2TH/s+ and climbing. 12-14 more boards can be set up before Monday.

We can now watch the hashrate remotely here via the link below. Thank you Thomas!

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=302

==

Also, all rounds have now been combined for easier accounting and as a bonus to Round 11 and 12 customers.  Smiley

This doesn't effect Round 9 and 10 Group Buyer payouts in any way, but it does allow Round 11 and 12 paid customers earlier hashrate access!

Gents and ladies, a Saturday, 11/2 update:

- Bob's been having problems chaining the miners beyond a certain point which has limited his ability to stack miners as he only has so many Pis to go around. He seems to have gotten past much of the earlier issues but can't stack more than 6 at the moment (the goal was 10 boards per Pi)
- He's blown a few Pis and a couple of PSUs during his testing.
- He's currently up to almost 1 TH (our target is 3.2 - 4 TH, combined from all 4 Rounds
- He's currently short Pis due to them failing, and his overnight shipment of a bunch of extras from Amazon is stuck at UPS till Monday
- We've learned a lot too: Bullet Runs can be messy, best to have waaay more supplies than you think you needed

- Because I promised optimistically that the boards would be running by now, we're going to make up the hashrate difference based on the following schedule:

Rounds 9/10 should be up to 1TH today, the target is 1.68 - 2TH/s: This pool has just started mining, but there's no dashboards set up yet. When mining deposits appear they're heading to this Black Arrow Bullet Run wallet address: https://blockchain.info/address/1JazVMG7E47ceaTnwbGzeGsrAQeURniwZV

For calculation purposes - Since yesterday, Nov.1, for daily coins expected to be mined I'll be using www.bitcoinx.com as a calculator for lost hashrate compensation calculations unless someone else has a better suggestion.

Rounds 11/12 should be running by the end of the day in Missouri by Monday evening: If hashrate is less than the promised 1.68 TH/s for R11/12 by Tuesday morning, then the same calculations listed above for lost hashrate calculations still apply.

===============================================================================================================

We'd rather take a small hit and keep our co-op members happy, then to have upset co-op members due to the delays. With this in mind, Bobsag3 is adding 3 extra boards per GB (instead of 1 extra) in order to improve hashrate and make up for lost mining power for each Group Buy Round.

If this extra hashrate still doesn't compensate for lost time/hashrate at the end of the mining period, then bobsag3 and the DZ MC will be compensating you directly.

Where is the best place to track performance of these shares and how do you plan to handle payouts exactly? Will there be a URL to pool stats or anything like that?

Good luck working out the kinks!
When everything is ready there will be a page similar to the R5 / R6, I also like the payout method used in R5/6 on the 1st and 15th of the month, the payout sizes are a nice sized chunk not small bitcents each, remember the less times we have to do payouts the less we have to pay in fee's.

Anyone elses thoughts.

I think you have a fairly proven model here and would encourage to stick with it.

I realized that I'm a little bummed that they're underperforming, but sometimes things don't always work out with initial implementations. But on the bright side this was guaranteed to be shipping by Nov. 1 and we're fortunate to have already received it! kano has been shipped a simultaneous shipment so he'll hopefully be able to tweak some improvements while he adds native BA support to chainminer.

Group Buyers are going to be compensated for any under performance of the 8.34 GH/s mark per share that was promised.

Paid for my 4 shares! (#394)

There was a 20$ usd difference from current coinbase price and price from the site. Is that normal?
Thanks

Hi Etienne,

Sorry to hear that. We're all about trying to save you guys money. BTC is still so young there's tons of volatility between exchanges.
We use Bitstamp as the rate we go with because it seems like all of our mfgs. we've bought from so far priced their product at this rate.

==

I have an update: some good news, bad news.

Bad: He's still working out the chaining of the miners. This is important because he only has so many Pis. We're also seeing a little under performance as far as hashrate but kano is working on the cgminer chainminer integration so we should see improvements on that. Such is life on the bleeding edge of a bullet run.

Good: Since bobsag3 is basically Good Guy Bob he's going to make sure that to add a board to our 20 board stack to get our min. hashrate to 8.34GH/s as promised while software issues are worked on. He also managed to stack 6 boards, so far, even with the issues he's seeing.

Bobsag's busy as heck but I'll post some pics he shared with me as soon as I upload them to my cloud photos.

Well, I also snagged a few more but guessing they will be rolled to R12.  Confusing Smiley  Is there a sheet anywhere we can see what we have where?  I think I now have them in R10, R11, and R12!
They will all end up pretty much the same, Just that R9's and R10's boards are out for delivery, the rest of the boards are coming either late tonight or tomorrow.
Darn I thought R11 would start hashing the same day as R10, guess the R10 beat R11 slightly.

Hey madpoet,

Sorry, about the confusion. bobsag3 cleared some of it. I have to apologize about the ordering process. Here's why it's all janky:

- Our site currently uses free tools that aren't very old or well developed at the moment as far as the intricacies of e-commerce, IMO.
- Double or phantom orders can still occur with this current site (essentially our beta site) due to nonpayment of orders entered. That means a Round could show as out of stock, even when it's really not.
- Because of this, and since this is all the same Bullet Run with ample stock at the moment, we set up stock with backorders allowed, so that people wouldn't be locked out of making an order due to double or phantom orders.

We're in talks with two good programmers to redesign and relaunch our site. We're even going pro and will be launching a for-profit (but still cheapest) cloudhashing arm of our operations. Please PM us if you're interested.

==

BTW, R11 is CLOSED.

R12 is already halfway sold out, but backorders are allowed. Please move new conversations/orders/questions to the R12 thread. Mahalo!

Someone anonymously bought 50 shares! Thank you and welcome aboard! [Or should I say: welcome back!  Wink  Cheesy ]

40 shares available.

If our site says that we're out of stock, you should still be able to place a backorder which will count as a normal order once we sort things out.

Once we exceed 100 R11 shares, any PAID shares after 100 R11 shares will be automatically shifted to an R12.

Do you have any expected profitability estimates for any of these runs?

1 share = $123 = 8.34 - 10 GH/s

Estimated hash for each Round is 824ghs stock. No fee for hosting the first month (0.5% management fee still applies)

thomas_s I sent you a PM, not sure if you're the person to send the payout address to or if there's some place on the website to put it in?  I couldn't find anywhere else to send it.  Not sure if there's a more secure method.

payout address:

I have  now a total of 10 shares in r9/r10/r11

#369 = 1 share------------- processing
#349 = 1 share------------- processing

#306 = 2 shares>>>>>>> complete
#282 = 2 shares>>>>>>> complete
#248 = 4 shares>>>>>>> complete

total of 10 shares =  83 to 100gh of hash starting on the first.

I have 19 shares in R5-R6  =    about 108.3 gh of hash   working as I type.

So in a day or 2 I should have close to 200gh hashing with the coop.

I think it is just a typo but I wanted to bring it to your attention on the DZ site there are two conflicting claims.

"Ergo: 1 share = $123 = 8.34 – 10 GH/s + 20 min. UPS backup + 1 month free hosting thanks to bobsag3 with the world’s cheapest professional insured ASIC hosting
+ TO BE SHIPPED NOVEMBER 1, 2013 OR YOUR $/BTC BACK!"

Then down a few paragraphs:

"40% (or more) Below-cost Share price is: $123 for 10-15GH/s, shipping November 1 or your $/BTC back!"

I am already in and excited, but I wanted to bring this up. The way I am assuming is that 8.34 GH/s is almost guaranteed and 10 GH/s is hopefully what we will get. I would love 15 GH/s though Smiley
You have it right- 8.34 is the minimum it will produce (Or I will add extra boards to make up) with hopefully some OC

AFAIK: As Black Arrow's Official US Reseller, bobsag3 will be *the* first US Custom Hardware vendor who will have actual miners on the shelf, ready to be shipped as soon as someone pays for them.

Its no problem, yes paying a partial payment will lock that address into your order so it would extend the time you have to pay it, if you send nothing the address can be reused by the site and will be automatically.

Its the ultimate form of reserving you gotta put some sort of down payment =) and its out of my control

I didn't make a partial payment within the 1 hour deadline. But I managed to pay the full amount within 90 minutes or so. Anyway, my order status says 'Processing', so it's all good I assume?
Do we get some form of confirmation of completed payment?
After it gets entered in the spreadsheet you'll get emails, either its completed or missing something. If its processing that means its good and the site detected the payment on the blockchain

Just jumped in for 4 shares. If I get more money together and did a seperate transaction is they any way to combine them?

Order #360 paid for, transaction ID: 870ea4a56569eb0e7d59bdb991a6d492080bf9c8504f69793922869e996478cc

In the spreadsheet for ease of tracking each order is done separate, before payouts for ease of sending payouts I'll more than likely combine shares that payouts are issued to the same address.

So if you get more funds just place another order, the payment address will  be different and the site will only say you purchased the 4 shares for the tone order.

That works for me. Thanks.

Made an order (#358) for 20 shares. Didn't realise payment was possible from multiple adresses until I made the order so I sent funds to one adress from which I would send the payment to the required payment adress. But now I have to wait an estimated two hours before the transactions are confirmed before I can make the payment.
So if you see a cancelled order and a new one for 20 shares, those are mine :p.

Thanks Bob!  I'm at 5 shares now, hoping it gets close to the 10Ghz per share rate Wink

Thanks madpoet!

We had 50 shares open up in R10 so all R11 shares that have been paid up till now have been moved to R10.

Therefore: R11 is closed until 24 R10 shares can be sold.

Hey DZ what happens when R11 shows this week and there's only a portion sold?  Just curious.  Buying a few more shares now to try and take care of some of that problem Smiley
I can answer that- r11 or witch ever GB is still open, will receive the amount of hashrate they have shares for IE if only 50% has been sold they will get 50% of the hashrate (same ghash per share).

I'd probably jump on this one if getting bitcoin out here on short notice weren't nearly impossible.
Where are you? We have from what I can tell the most payment options in any GB.

Central nowhere Canada.

Would that be with or without a side of Sasquatch?  Grin

Ok, snagged 1 share for myself.  No idea if it will ever pay off but what the heck I like the idea Smiley

Nice! Thank you and welcome aboard!

You can't be too insane if you picked this co-op for a GB. That or you're just another Bitcoin Kool Aid drinker like us and we're all mad!  Cheesy

In for 5 shares, order #338 and paid. THanks!

Hi Nick,

Thank you and welcome aboard!

Please keep in mind that we run our co-op a bit differently in that we vote on important matters and we vote before the 5 month mark to see if the majority of the Round's owners want to sell the miner as used online, or in-person, since much of the annual mining output (90%+) should likely be produced by then.*

We then split the resale proceeds based on one's proportion of ownership of that Round's miner, in order to help recoup investment costs.

I like your style so I just ordered 2 shares to test the waters, order #332.

Thanks aigeezer! Welcome aboard!

This co-op only runs smoothly because we share the work load and let the best person handle the job for whatever task is at hand. There is no way that this co-op would be where it is today without thomas_s, bobsag3, -Redacted-, jungle_dave, firsttimeuser, philipma1957, mootinator, and unknown.usr, so essentially: you like our style.  Smiley

I'll update numbers further for R8/R11 when I get back home tonight.

Hey guys,

When will R9-R11 will start hashing? ( i know shipping is suppose to be before november)
I have many on-hold orders, if I make the payment to any of them (including R9) will they be valid?

Thanks
R9 is already sold out, you get placed on a spreadsheet when the order is paid, any on-hold order payment address was most likely reused and the site will not recognize your payment for your old order.

The only way to make the site keep your payment address and order tracked seems to be sending a partial payment to hold that order open if the site detects no payment / an unused address it will issue the address to a new order.

Last I've heard we should have our first payout for R9-11 on Nov. 15th as we do payouts twice a month on the 1st and 15th, maybe a payout on the first if we mined enough BTC.

The first payouts would occur 2 weeks after the boards are running.

The boards are guaranteed to be shipping by Nov. 1 or our money/BTC will be refunded. It doesn't necessarily mean that they'll arrive by this date.

However....things are looking promising.

Round 11 Payment Details (Similar to R7-R10, for the most part)

========================================================================

BTC Payments will be directed to thomas_s via our site for R11 but I will have co-admin to this wallet for auditing or for payments if we're in a rush. We've worked together on 8 different Group Buys with great success including 2 of the fastest GB sellouts in the forum's history for Industrial class Rigs.

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?product=r11-40-off-black-arrow-bullet-run-with-bitfury

For US Customers: for a 3%  fee for USD conversion to BTC, we recommend: www.cashintocoins.com a FinCen compliant MSB who can get BTC sent to the wallet address you want in as little as 15 minutes to an hour.

For Intl. Customers: We are still exploring suggestions for inexpensive BTC conversion but I can recommend www.bitstamp.net at this time as that's the exchange rate used by our payment processor.

PayPal payments (UPDATE): If payment is being made by Paypal place an order on the site and place a note on the order when you place it saying you're paying by paypal...then give whoever you are buying BTC from the order # and the payment address. Please make sure to send it as a gift to "friends and family." This helps keep your share prices as low as possible (no PP fees) and well as protects us against illegal chargebacks after BTC deposits have already been paid out in November. Sorry, this is no longer available. This payment method is "sold out."

If there's any concerns about registering your payment, please follow up with a PM to Thomas or a support ticket. There's two methods to resolve this:

A. Send a support ticket on our website www.dzminercoop.com

OR

B: PM to thomas_s on this site

Subject: DZ HF GB R11, x shares, x BTC
Details: Please include Tx ID, your wallet address for payout, and any concerns you may have about your transaction(s)

NEW! 10/18 UPDATE from Thomas:

"Bobsag3 will be accepting wire transfers (for 20+ shares) and chase quick pay (any quantity of shares). and credit cards by Square https://squareup.com/market/miner-hosting-llc/share-r-bitfury-gh-s-min-ups-backup

10/21 Update: Square decided apple bobbing is better than providing service to their customers because Bitcoin = Scary = Eating Square's lunch. They'd rather be run over by the BTC train instead of hopping on to take advantage of a much cheaper remittance infrastructure.

CC payments are currently suspended; we're working on something more long term. Fortunately, Thomas S. works in finance.

Thomas_s will be accepting TD bank and CitiBank (USA) checks (any quantity of shares). At this time no other banks checks are being accepted.

*These payment options are only available for Rounds that don't need BTC conversions. (At the moment the only open Round(s) are 8 and 11)

I've also located the reason for the zombie rounds...apparently there is a bug in the site where it reduces the stock when the order is placed and when it is paid.

The updates on the forum were going by what the site displayed which was effectively doubling what was actually sold so that's where those shares magically popped up from
"

===

Thomas is handling questions and collecting payments for R11 via our site (unless you require Escrow, in which case you can PM me). He set up the automated reservation site and the GB with my input. Great work Thomas, and it's definitely an improvement over me trying to keep up w/ an avalanche of PMs and payments.  Tongue

I will still handle or assist in:

- Ordering
- Shipping details
- (Optional) Escrowed GB shares for those that insist on Escrow Protection from a 3rd party for: holding BTC funds, post-sales dispute resolution, $500 insurance per transaction at 2% extra cost to share price. Semi-automated Escrow is done thru BTCrow.
- Remote miner setup
- Remote troubleshooting/
- Incremental overclocking
- Payouts or assist in payouts
- Auditing hashrate vis-a-vis payouts
- Dispute resolution and arbitration, if necessary. [Should be rare as we're all adults that don't need to yell. Tongue]

Refunds: If we can't raise the funds to buy the full 800GH/s, we'll just order smaller modules with less hashrate. Refunds are discouraged because of the chaos caused in Group Buys, but if necessary, you will be refunded before the miner ships, at a 1.5% restock fee. After the miner ships, no refunds are available.

By sending payment, you agree to these Refund terms before purchase.

===============================================================================================================

NEW (10/21) Share Ownership Transfer Fee: There is now a 0.75% Ownership transfer fee if you're buying someone else's DZ MC co-op shares. We put a ton of time, money, and BTC to offer the GB community many of the world's best at-cost and below-cost deals. Refunds and share transfers cause chaos and extra work for us.

This 0.75% share transfer fee *MUST* by paid by the new owner before we will transfer share ownership.

10/30 PM Update: Our Bullet Run Black Arrow boards cleared customs in Kentucky! They arrive in Missouri tomorrow. Smiley

We still have 40 shares available in R11. Round 11 is closed.

If we run out of stock, please go ahead and still place an order as backorders are allowed and will be fulfilled. Once 100 R11 shares are all sold out, any additional PAID R11 shares will be automatically moved to an R12.

10/28 Update, boards are due for shipment TONIGHT. We expect a tracking number shortly. Latest pics from prototype testing:

10/26 Update: We have a shipping estimate update. These boards are due for shipment in the next 24 hours and is scheduled for delivery to Missouri. They will be installed and running ASAP: bobsag3 will be joined by 2 EEs and a CE on that first day, in order to help get miners up and running quickly.

THIS IS NOT A PRE-ORDER. THIS BULLET RUN BATCH IS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION nearly complete.

and shipping is GUARANTEED by November 1 OR WE GET OUR MONEY BACK.
This is an EXCLUSIVE OFFER just for the DZ MC.
Confirmed by Black Arrow in R9: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3357314

bobsag3, one of the DZ MC leaders and our primary vetted miner host who runs a professional insured ASIC colocation facility called Miner Hosting LLC, is now an Official US Reseller for Black Arrow! Congrats Bob! http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/usa-reseller.html

Because of this: he is offering us first access to BELOW COST prices on Black Arrow's Bullet Run using Bitfury chips!

R11 Product Link: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?product=r11-40-off-black-arrow-bullet-run-with-bitfury

===============================================================================================================

We will be getting the very first Black Arrow miners over *THREE MONTHS EARLIER* than Black Arrow's official launch on February 24 (using their 100GH/s Minion chip instead). Bob's paid a hefty premium to get this done in a jiffy and production is ongoing as you read this. I won't mention the assembly partners yet (perhaps bobsag3 can shed light on this) but I consider them to be trusted forum members/manufacturers with good reputations who have already handled a lot of business. I also have a prior relationship with the assembler from other co-op and forum related work.

This offer is at least 40% less expensive than the closest comparable Bitfury 41.7GH/s deal
in the same delivery window of early November.

For Round 11: We will be doing 20 Bitfury boards capable of 41.7-50GH/s each, for a hashrate of 834GH/s up to 1000GH/s.

100 shares will be offered. 1 share is worth 1/100th of the machine's hashrate.

=========================================================================================================================================

Ergo: 1 share = $123 = 8.34 - 10 GH/s + 20 min. UPS backup +
1 month free hosting thanks to bobsag3 with the world's least expensive professional insured ASIC hosting
+ TO BE SHIPPED NOVEMBER 1, 2013 OR YOUR $/BTC BACK!

=========================================================================================================================================

100 shares available!*

* 10/27 update: All previously purchased R11 shares have been moved to R10, as we had 50 shares drop out due to difficulties in obtaining BTC by the Buyer. We will open up this round once the 24 R10 shares remaining have been sold.

Please visit the newly re-opened R10 round if you're interested in Black Arrow Bullet Run shares that are scheduled for a Wed/Thursday (10/30 or 10/31) delivery: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313065.0;all

Target machine is a BLACK ARROW Bullet Run using already delivered Bitfury chips, with boards in production THIS MONTH, instead of their own 100GH/s Minion chips in late February: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-1.html

If you missed out on Round 9 and Round 10: no worries!

Round 11 will arrive the same day as R9/R10 to Miner Hosting LLC, bobsag3's professional ASIC specific colocation facility with business insurance and the world's lowest hosting/management fees at 2.75%. The DZ MC is the premier customer at this facility and was designed with my input as a Network Engineer.

Bitfury 16x board (Qty. 20, 834-1000 GH/s):

Size: 134.5 x 120.5mm
Output power: up to 80A
Input Voltage: 12V
Output Voltage: 0.7-1.0V (default @0.9V)
4 x Heatsinks
2 x Fan
SPI conneciton through flexible flat cables.
Power switch
Fused
On/off led

More pics at: http://s286.photobucket.com/user/SurfSkateKauai/library/?sort=3&page=1

Target hashrate for Round 11 is 834GH/s 1,000GH/s+ with 100 shares issued. If there's additional demand for 40% below-cost Black Arrow BitFury shares, we can accommodate oversales. We have extra A/C cooling so we can incrementally push hashrate further than normal.

40% (or more) Below-cost Share price is: $123 for 8.34 - 10GH/s, shipping November 1 or your $/BTC back! In addition: these BTC funds will *NOT* be touched until the boards are hashing or if refunds are necessary (in which case, you *still* get to keep the FREE hashrate after the refund!).

Hosting/Management fees are applied during payouts every 2 weeks, and are the world's lowest professional hosting/management fees at only 2.75% For Round 11, the first month of hosting is FREE* (* a 0.5% management fee still applies). Thanks Bob!

Your share includes an estimated 20 minutes of power protection built into the below-cost share price. Power protection from outages, sags, and spikes come from an APC UPS with Battery Bank to keep the BTC flowing during short power outages. The DZ MC has even purchased an additional A/C unit for extra cooling, and a Gas Generator for longer outages. DZ MC miners will be run in an extra cold, enclosed A/C cooled cabinet built by bobsag3 and other engineers at his pro colo facility.

This R11 BLACK ARROW Bullet Run deal using Bitfury chips is EXCLUSIVE TO THIS COOPERATIVE. You will *not* see these low prices *anywhere* else and you will *not* see Black Arrow miners elsewhere on the GB forum at this time. You will be getting early November access to the very first Black Arrow Bullet Run Prosperos running Bitfury chips, instead of Minion chips in February. These boards are even going through weekend assembly to meet the shipping deadline.
