ok so I will be giving out some NODE rewards to those running private nodes for the network.

PM your node's address and account, I will send you some NODE for helping out after I verify.

Not sure yet how much I will send but depends on how many people want to join the rewards .

edit: There might be a delay before giving out the NODE, I am working out how to verify that people consistently have their node running.

edit: I would like to add that I will not be rewarding the 2 or 3 accounts that have been forging the most blocks, I am doing this to give private nodes a gift for helping the NODE team with this project

Always have my node on Smiley

sorry for losing track- I had been running 0.9.4.1 or ..something .. on a DigO Droplet, but I switched it off because I had thought there would be a new version on the way...

is this about running a testnet node with the testnet client mentioned above?

Or is there a new version of mainnet out?

If it is about testnet, I would run that, just let me know

No, this is a private giveaway for people running nodes on the real network.  This has nothing to do with the test.

Make things clear:

This giveaway is not being done by the NODE team, it's by supporters of NODE.

i think would be interesting calculate it each 24 hours (sometimes servers breaks or enter in maintenance) i think if people likes we could reward the running nodes with 80% of fees and the other 20% to reward active accounts like now (but without limit of 500.000 nodes, it make the coin unfair for poor people)

i think all node running with account id should be rewarded if people want to create nodes for earn more rewards it will strenght the coin

We should create a log recording the conected peers, it only must save the last 24 hours of peer conections in each running node
The formula could be something like this:

Total 24 hours fees * 0.8/ total number of the last  24 hours running nodes with account id
Total 24 hour fees * 0.2/top 100 accounts with more activity

What do you think?

This is a good idea, with some modification.

This way everyone gets a chance to make some NODE and encourages people to open their wallet.

Now let's see if devs like it.

I think is a good idea to reward private node owners, they are making the net more reliable and secure
( i think poa reward only should reward to the private node runners and not to the nodecoin owners because if you have money and you can buy lot of nodecoins will be rewarded and by run a node with 10.000 nodes for weeks your get nothing, but it is a personal idea)

you still can give some nodes to people writing about Nodecoin in crypto´s blog and news webs

thank you Dev

I like this idea.

One idea is to reward each private node based on how long they have been up. Anyone have suggestions on ideal reward size?

Is there a way to know who's a private node and the time they have been on?

I've been away for a few days and haven't kept up.

Any ideas of what to do with the 100 000 NODE left from the giveaway?

Maybe reward some of the people running private nodes?

Suggestions are welcomed.

That is not pump. That is some guys buying and value growing. There is a diference between price or value increasing and just a pump. A pump could take NODE to 500-1000 satoshis in a day.. not from 60 to 65. Cheesy

what's the different from node.win.latest.zip and node_test_win.zip?
the test_note is not real node?
Test is just for testing new version of NODE for bugs.

how to poa?
put 500k node into wallet, and nothing to do ?

Yes and you need to left open your NODE cleint, POA= Proof of Activity. More transactions = more chances of forging block.
