MGW is the future and should be considered, but it's true that ATM centralised exchanges have more volume.

So why not implement both?

Furthermore, if Node wants to be added to SuperNET, the implementation of MGW is a plus.

@koop.

would you be willing to look into setting up a multigateway for nxt AE so that node can be traded? it would bring a lot of users to node from the nxt community.
i think its not the best way.. we already received the stakes, a exchange is the best way now.

+1

Why rush into MGW without enough liquidity? Exchange already said they will list NODE when the API is finished. So keep cool guys.

It's not whether you agree or disagree.  It's question of technical implementation and whether something will be used.

NXT had the BTer fiasco (almost $2 million stolen in the beginning) and yet around 69% of NXT volume is still on BTer.  BTER has done around $75K volume today when MGW has only done $900.

There has to be other projects which can be prioritized over something which is less than 1% of NXT's volume.

That last link is not mgw coin trade. It's just an asset with no coin trading.

Yet this one states 8.25 BTC in the last 24H (less than $5K).  I don't see any consensus between these sites as to how much traffic MGW btc is actually getting.  According to the link I posted, and compared to CMC's website, MGW BTC does less volume than Poloniex.  MGW BTC has only really beaten Dgex today.

I'm just pointing out this "technology" isn't really being used.   Surely there are things that can be prioritized higher.

MGW is still in beta and was partly offline last days because of ltcMGW integration = this is the reason of the low volume.

Once it will be fully running on more independent nodes, I will only use MGW. It is much more faster than old exchanges and without risks.

For me is MGW as important as BTER or others. We need both.

@Koop4u what do you think about this (MGW), and some news about API to reveal the exchange.

It doesn't have to be MGW. Koop4u  can create centralized exchange using Nxt AE, and it will be still pretty secure (if you trust Koop4u) . See

He is not talking about simple issuing an asset
http://multigateway.org/

It is basicly a (semi-) decentralised exchange, built on top of Nxt.

i think many would feel safer trading on multigateway..
agree with this.
