if the Windows client was not ready then there were no need to distribute coins.

Client for windows soon on the way, the difference for windows client and server have no
For a client for windows only need additional libraries

Already being tested client, you can see on the page "Peers" http://nodemoney.com:19775/#/peers

any estimate about windows client release? i know we can use server for transferring nodes but a client would be a lot safer and decentralized.

Let's calm down and let the devs make their job Grin

I'm pretty sure they prepare anything right now to get this coin to the moon  Grin

lets see who is calm when someone is robbed of there coins as our only option to gain access atm it through a insecure server. the devs job and #1 priority should be a secure access point. imho it should have been completed BEFORE distribution began

But wait only 25% of whole NXT was distributed in IPO to  72 people...
Who got rest of 75% ? ( i think main devs ) correct me if i am wrong with some links please.

There were no developers stakes. There were some unclaimed coins that went to  various community funded groups , but the rest were distributed to people who put BTC, The entire history of IPO  is here

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-nxt-descendant-of-bitcoin-303898

note the IPO  was open for 2 whole months. Of course no one was interested back then as the whole experiment was  new. Now those who missed it (or didn't even care)  whine about it, but it was totally open process.

Yes i agree to some level. node is a totally different coin to nxt so the devs say. (we havnt seen any code yet). but nxts distribution was one of the best imo. You cant have fair distro its a myth. and were already seeing downsides of distributing to 1000's of user instead of less than 100.
....

*******************
Best IPO/Minig distribution for me had Bitshares 200 days 5000 for BTC day / 5000 for mining (PTS) .

*******************

I personal like BC and BC Volume is about 50k today while NXT as 60k and market cap 8x higher
PPC with 1/2 NXT market cap have 2x NXT volume 100k...
this is red flag for me and prof of fail distribution.

That is why i wait Node and NEM to compare it - before they are full operational is really hard to compare we just speculate.

Node with Bank + instant transaction is that what i wanted see as coin feature for ages.
Sorry have to correct you,  100% of nxt was distributed to 73 ppl who had massive balls. Even bcnxt had to buy his own stake.

100% of NXT were distributed to 73 BTT accounts. Could have been 3 people. No hate - just saying  Smiley

this quote made me laugh from koop4u :

Like every decent crypto software we are going trough the same 3 stages:
1) Implementation
2) Testing
3) Release!
We are still swinging between the first two!

how can you be in the first 2 stages when you have released the coins?
if you are still testing why did you release the coins with no secure wallet to keep them in?

the way i see things atm is without a secure wallet peoples stakes will be stolen before long and adoption will never happen and node will fail.

please can we have an update on the wallet!

I agree, it's kinda weird. How could it be tested after distribution. They also said that they'll publish the client after distribution. Ok, it's over, but there's no news about the client.

Node has been distributed to less than 1000 persons.. That is something i really like. Puppets been removed. That means no xtreme dumping rush.. There will be people willing to cash out because they need inmediately money but there will be people taking advantage of those.. There will be a good stable price really fast. I've seen and many stakeholders are veterans and those are not weak hands.

Maybe NEM is more known atm but it has too many more stakeholders. I think node price will be really good and stable. Also because the features is promising are really good.

i agree with what you say but imo it all depends on if this secure wallet comes out. it should have been one of the first things done before the coins were distributed.

If they dont deliver the Windows client soon as possible, price will be not more than 0.1BTC.

Exactly, people will not adopt a coin where there is no security of funds.

They should launched a NODE Asset first on the NXT client;

Then finish the client.

And then distribute the coins.

This is what NEM is doing and they are doing it right.

What if NODE confronts a showstopping bug and they have to reset the blockchain?
They will have to distribute the coins AGAIN. The NODE team have a big responsibility now. The reputation of the coins are in their hands.

I hope everything goes as planned.
