You recon Avalon is going to screw everyone, or just stuff us about a bit?

Why would they invest in developing a real, working ASIC chip, just to screw everyone over by not delivering it? (They wouldnt)

I really don't think they would ... and they are now purely middleman from the foundry so much much less work for them.

Away on an extended break
Any updates on when Batch #1 might be arriving?

what this guy said  Smiley

DobZombie here, when should we be expecting batch one chip and board orders? Any word from Avalon?

At this rate, I think we should be seeing the chips at mid to late August. I check my Avalon store account daily and all of my orders are stuck at 'sample chips shipped' or even 'processing' Sad

TL;DR: Nope. Sad

T13,
Are you still planning to source boards or buy from Klondike (@$6 per board) and which pic will you be planning on using.

Regards
Hi,
No - the prebuilt boards cannot be put into the SMT machine to mount the chips on it. It takes ages to mount 16 chips x hundreds of boards (manually). Plus it costs a fortune. The boards will be built here in Romania.

You are still using the Klondike 16 design though, correct?

What is the role of the 2 chip prototype board?
Interesting question with an interesting answer. The 2 chip board is to test the firmware of the controller. The design could change based on BKKCoins' design, but it would still use 16 chips.

Will you be able to take fiat to pay for the board?

I have some chips in batch II, (48), but getting coins to pay for the boards and delivery is not that easy.

I can do Paypal/Google and so on...

Hi t13hydra

Not sure if you saw my post, are you able to take fiat to pay for the board?
Of course, I am still trying to get BTC but it would be easier, (for now), if I could send fiat.

Thanks

FFMG
i guess so, yes. If you really need to send fiat. Through paypal would be best.

Final beta of bkkcoins seems working fine. I'm waiting for updates now

Yes, indeed. Will have another video of my own proto board when it will be working. The board itself is assembled already, but we need to test it using the beta software at hand.

Hi t13hydra,

do we manage to add something like 48 chips in the second batch?
I think it would not be difficult to ask for a little increase in the number... Smiley

Let me know and best regards,
ilpirata79

I can sell you my 16 or 32 chips from Batch 2 (PCB order already paid) if t13hydra agrees to manually move my order to you.

I will gladly move the chips, but i'm going to have to refund the board costs to you, Baloo.

Hey hydra would ordering the complete board and chips off your site be faster or buying the chips from batch 2 be faster? Faster in terms of me receiving it in my hands

Danny

In last 'newspaper update' Avalon said shipping chips batches will begin in mid July, according to the order of purchase.
