Is there a spreadsheet somewhere for this GB?  It's not on the archived website and I haven't checked in on this GB in a long time so I'm a little lost.  I gather we are still waiting for shipment of equipment.

Black Arrow 6/20 Update

1. The X-3 issue has been found and fixed.
2. We have finalized 2 versions of the backplane which we will send to the factory tomorrow. Once the backplane is ready we can start shipping. We estimate that to be around the end of next week pending factory's schedule.
3. We have finished the test batch of the X-1 which is currently shipping.
4. All X1 and X3 boards are now into the SMT factory.
5. We are going to review the compensation after we have shipped all orders.
6. Rent-A-Minion will start in the same time of the shipment.
7. LCD samples have finally arrived, the software team is updating the driver.

well if they actually send gear out to bob and tom and give better compensation and the gear is low on power use.

.9 watt or less a hash   and 100gh vs the original 40gh maybe it works out.

at .9 watts a hash they could mine for 2 months  100gh at 2 months comes comes somewhat close to break even.

this has been a mess..  so far I am out about 150 usd on my refund of 7 shares due to btc movement.

and my remaining 5 shares cost me about  630 usd.

also I am out around 195 usd  on round 1 or 1a  that is another pair of sleeves.

i am up more then 5k on :

r5 r6   r9-r12

So I am not full of regrets.   but whatever comes of r1-1a and this r17 will be better then nothing.

I would be happy with 50 cents on the dollar. or 390 usd.
Well remember they still have not announced how they are going to up the compensation. So maybe, just maybe they will realise that if they want to put this debacle behind them, and ever have a customer trust them again, they need to make good on their promises!

FWIW: I don't have access to the R17 refund funds and never did, once the orders were made.

That 20/20 hindsight: If I knew now what we didn't know back then, we would've never gotten involved with this particular GB for R17. We had worked well with BA for the Bullet Run last year which was supposed to help address many issues so we hopefully wouldn't see them this year.

Have you already contacted Miner Source at their support address? [email protected]

It would be great if we could have an update from the GB operators... when do you think we will be hashing... or did I miss it? Still in for some shares.

Gonna by very honest here. Any more delays after this will damage our ROI for everyone.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZavKweMrP4#t=88

Those containers will by mass build within 3-6 mouths after investment. Mining this mouth we will get our ROI mostly if we still have to wait a mouth then ROI gets in danger. ( I am looking to the number btc it generates not $ )

They have lots of PH not gonna go into to much details here. Just saying whats on the horizon and this will by a big player.

So hope Black arrow can deliver this mouth Smiley

edit:

Also I expect those guys also to run into delays that project is pretty big and I have seen every company getting into bumps.

Begin end Q3 2014 begin 2015 between there they will start. I expect feb 2015. So hope we can make as much btc as possible before it can't make any.

Our plan is to tape out the new backplane in 1-2 days, start shipping of X3 on 23rd (after we get the PCBs back and we assemble them). We should be able to deliver all X3s by the end of the month.

Source: minersource

I understand the worrys but we have no way back then to wait for BA to deliver. So better hope they will make the 23rd and send first to the group buy.

I couldn't give a toss what the plan is, I asked for a refund in March, got absolutely no response and am supposed to 'not worry' cos some random tells me they understand and promises jam tomorrow.

Yeah right.

While I do agreed that I like to hear some words about those refunds from people that has proof and asked them earlyer. Since they are not really posting here atm. I mean the founders. The only reason I post the updates is to show its not dead.

hey at least it is some info.  maybe we will start hashing soon and coins will take off in price.

Black Arrow 6/15/14 Update June 15 2014

Dear Customers,
We are happy to let you know that we've just solved the SPI issues.
In the picture below we run only at 1.1Ghz instead of 1.2Ghz because we've hardcoded the voltage at 0.81V and 2 ASICs needed a little bit more.

Thx for the info. Is this forum thread the closest we have to an "official" DZ communication channel? If so, what is the current status?

As everyone's aware, the pool we bought into clearly stipulated that "Once sales begin, Refunds are available up until unit ships at 1.5% restock fee. We vote on all buying, shipping, and resale decisions as well as vote on the month to attempt equipment resales after 5-7 months of operations".

Are pool funds still held by the co-op (and available to be refunded), or have they been transferred to BA even though product isn't shipping?

I believe  the remaining  funds are in the hands of BA not DzCoop.

This is most likely going to be gone.(guessing don't really know.  but BFL gave me my money back after 13.5 months)

I wish I had cashed in all my shares not just 7 of 12.

Back at  btc6000   most every deal ever made in terms of btc roi is a loss. I think all dzCoop deals were a loss in btc terms.

Most of us miners would have made more  buying coins at anytime from 2009 to oct 2013 then mining.

Not to argue btc against fiat.  or vs  versa.    most any one that purchased coins from nov 2013 to jan 2014 took a loss.

I just have second thoughts about not asking for the full refund back in feb.

My guess is it is a loss.  For most people a loss = a scam.  I have done enough investing to know a loss = a  loss.

Oh, I've done plenty of investing, some highly-speculative and not just in BitcoinLand either. A loss I can tolerate, some investments are winners others not, with risk comes reward. However, the thing that really gets my goat about DZ and co is the complete lack of communication. I've asked politely a number of times, I've posted politely whilst seeing other people get their refunds but me get nothing. It's not a large amount but it's the principle that matters.

I'd be interested to know how many DZ group buys have actually made profit. Not fiat, BTC profit. (I'm not interested in arguing about fiat vs BTC)

So, even if not a scam in the strict sense of the word, they deserve to be shamed with a scam tag, and for potential customers to take their business elsewhere.

Hey guys! I bought 20 shares in this pool last November - but due to the spectacularly missed delivery date, it looks like the difficulty level has now ratcheted up so far that if BA ever does get their shit together, these machines won't even be worth plugging in.

Just looking for honest info here.
Is this a scam I lost $2.2k to and should begin pursuing as such, or are refunds being honored?

Cheerio,

-Aubrey

Not sure if I would call it a scam, but I would say you may never collect on the 2.2k.

I am in for 5 shares 4 at 130,  1 at 110 or 630 usd.

My guess is it is a loss.  For most people a loss = a scam.  I have done enough investing to know a loss = a  loss.

A scam  involves intent I am not so sure of the intentions of this from the beginning to the current point in time.

Still it is a -630 for me as of today.

I believe some people got refunds, but not others. Personally I've been waiting since March and got sweet F.A., heard nothing, all messages are ignored. I'll keep posting reminders, hopefully threads like this and others by people who've been scammed will prevent others from getting ripped off in the future.

So the short answer is - I wouldn't fancy your chances to be honest.

Damn they still haven't started the R17 groupbuy. Glad I didn't invest in this one. The difficulty is so high now that a refund is all you could get.
 Shocked Shocked

The difficulty in getting a refund isn't exactly low either!
