except renting a rig is not profitable; there is no reason for someone with a rig to rent it out to someone else if they could be making more mining with it. if you rent a rig, know that whoever is renting it to you is turning a profit from it.
i know this, i was talking specifically to mine altcoin at launch and sell them when they rise, in this way some profit could be retrieved from your renting
there are also some miners with very chip price, among those rentable rigs, because they work with very cheap electricity, one could argue that they could earn more if they mine directly
but they reason for not doing this is because they do not have time to follow all the altcoin section and prefer to put their rig in rent
