Well hello there!
November 11, 2015, 06:42:12 PM
If one had a magic mirror that could tell you (by name) the cloud mining operations that aren't some form of scam you would be lucky to hear 2 or 3 names given.  And those cloud mining operations that aren't scams are basically guaranteed to not ROI and generally shutdown the minute mining becomes unprofitable for them at their current $/w/gh ratio and electricity costs.

I always wanted to mine but never had enough resource. Over month, I have gathered around 0.11BTC from faucets and twitter giveaways, with which I want to buy hash power. The cheapest one I see around is offered by www.cloudmining.website, which is 0.001 BTC/GHs. But, before I invest, I'd like to know what people want to say about their experience about this service. As it seems, at current difficulty, I should reach ROI at 4 month. Please advise...

Update 30/03/2015: In fact, I invested 0.11BTC in this service and have already made ROI. Smiley

Update 11/07/2015: They are paying consistently for more than eight months now and they publish the blockchain payment proof - www.cloudmining.website/payments.php. Moreover, according to a third party cloud mining monitor, www.CloudMining.website delivered ROI within ~114 days...

Conclusion: Initially, I took them with a grain of salt, but, after eight months, I can definitely say, they are trustworthy...

I think you should have started with a more trustworthy party such as hashnest.com or miningsweden.se, that would just be my opinion for what you should do!

P.S. How did you make 0.11 btc in a month? What faucets did you use?

GermanGiant - why you never argue with me?

I say loud and clear that Cloud Mining.Service is a scam!

I have no business in that, except to warn people before they put money in this trap!
I asked you to provide some data regarding your allegation about www.cloudmining.website here...

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12895581

Since then you are fleeing around...

who needs a proof when common sense can already tell us that this is a ponzi scheme and would collapse in a matter of time.. Its already showing a sign of collapse Smiley

I have only tried a few cloud mining sites, I'm very careful where I spend my money.  Also I like having the miners on hand as I love the hobby, so this is main reason I don't do a ton of cloud mining

I am using www.cloudmining.website for some time. I wont say it is flawless. Sometimes it take hours for their payments to confirm. But, they pay normal every week. A few hours ago, I received today's payment too...

Which cloud mining sites you have tried and how did they perform ?

How long you are with this service?

IT IS SCAM!!!

I'm with this scam from second or third day after launch, so from beginning of November 2014 - more than one year. For first ~three months the pay not bad, but now from 9 - 10 months dust!!! To get ROI i need around 4 years more!!!

Stay away from this scammers!

I suggest you not to invest in cloud mining because many cloud mining services are nothing but HYIPs.
Anyway, even if they are legit, the ROI takes too long to be reached.

That's the point. If you compare the risk it looks similar to this:

holding BTC < trading BTC < hardware mining <  cloud mining
Pick your poison Smiley

I think u r partially correct. The equation should be as follows...

holding BTC (no risk no gain) <  cloud mining (ponzi or not, u can at least calculate the outcome) < hardware mining (difficulty will slip out in time) < trading BTC (some people bought at 300 and sold at 1200... as well as the reverse) Wink
Thanks RussianRaibow.. your reply answered a lot of my questions and cleared a few doubts as well. Patients to reach the ROI level is a must that i can tell from experience. And it is true for any sound and lucrative investment in other business.

No, that's a faulty analysis.
Holding, trading and self mining have known cost and risk factors.
Ponzi 'cloudmining' (e.g. Russian Raibow's ScamMining.website) introduces another unquantifiable factor, the criminal one: one day, you wake up and they're gone, and so's your money.

A better investment would be to purchase your own miner, unless you have a really high lighting bill.
its also huge risk like renting cloud mining
delivery could be so posponed you will never make any profit, instead only loss :/

I am living proof, invested 1 BTC, got 0.02 BTC

What site did you invest on?  That is a important thing in the equation here.

There are a lot it's true you should not trust.

If you have skills to set up miner - yes, but cloud mining services are mainly for users that don't have this skills.

A lot of the miners don't take a ton of skills to setup like old GPU rigs did.  At this point its really a game of price of electricity and vat/import tax.

Some places electricity is just very high.  In those places you cannot seriously home mine.

Payment received for today as well...

https://blockchain.info/tx/6b2357e188ae1dee78ce4242debb31cf410a5e52409bb2054c6a8a0377610233

Almost one year ago, they made the first payment...

https://blockchain.info/tx/b669d6ce9b6aca58777803449897ab80d56730767224b5f7a85a64449bfeec57

So many cloud miners have come and gone in last one year. But, these guys never missed a single payment...
Do you think we can trust that site cloud mining website. domain is free and hosting is free? then the location of the owner is hidden? http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/cloudmining.website
If the site is legit why the location is hidden?
Then why the website say mining bitcoin since 2014? its a 9 months old i check it from my tools website age checker... Dont you think we can trust you if you dont honest?

Forget about this service this payments are just dust payments. I'm with them 12 months, but from 9 months i'm receiving just dust. I will need 4 more years to get ROI from them.. Obvious scam.
