Cloud mining is mostly just scams. There are already lots of people who have written out HOW and WHY cloud mining is a scam and all you have to do is google it and educate yourself. I would rather invest into staking coins or I would lend my money through a platform like Bitfinex, Binance, Nexo and so on because it is more safe, I think.
In 2017 i decided to give cloud mining a try and i did get to follow the best ones back then and the following are the ones that were very good until they stopped working excluding minergate and nicehash.
Back then, cloud mining was a very hot prospect with respect to Bitcoin especially when the block reward was much more than what it is today. Although there were quite a bit of fake cloud mining sites as well but it was pretty easy to distinguish between them as payouts would be shown in a couple of weeks and investing beforehand was always deemed risky.
Please, forget about these companies. Most of them will end up as scams, just like we saw many times in the history.

When I get to understand a bit of bitcoin in 2017, I invested just a little dollar in Genesis mining, without experience, I got more than 10times my investment from genesis because the price of bitcoin went very high. Till now I didn't login to genesis gain. As for hasflare, they are deceptive.

In 2017, I tried to invest in cloud mining, but unfortunately I received nothing but losses, I tried to invest in Hashflare, because there were a lot of good reviews about it. But in 2018, they began to demand verification and withdraw not small commissions for withdrawal.
What about cloud mining situation now in 2019? Has it become profitable, or there are only Ponzi schemes?
Another cloud mining service that I was using years ago is EOBOT.
I had been using all of those from in 2016 and stopped using it in 2017. And the biggest contract I ever bought is on EOBOT and then Genesis Mining.
as far as I understand in the middle of 2016, the contract is no longer profitable because we need to pay the electricity fee, maintenance, and ghost fee(unknown fee).
if I calculate my total investment in cloud mining and the ROI that I got from them, I did not make any profit because only 40% of my total investment was coming back to me.
and the rest was burned up to pay the fees and terminated contract(it could happen if you are buying small contract and the system claimed you will not get anything, so they terminated your contract).

I remember that i did joined genesis mining years back and their service is very good, the problem is it takes a year and half to get your return of investment back so that was what piss me off and i quit and withdraw my remaining invested money, many of these cloud mining service are down already because they aren't able to keep up
