This thread is concerning. Although Yankee has been nice and helped out, still no official resolution on this issue weeks later? Crazy...

This is one service I'll be staying away from anyways, from now on I'll just email them the private key to a wallet with the BTC, no need for coinapult.

I sent you 1 BTC ( transaction ID is:5946642323a72490b31fd065c71e7b26ba6c31542fccedff7cd6f64f0653a302)

Thanks very much Charlie - I have updated the title of the OP and my nephew is very happy to have his first bitcoin. Smiley

Well I can't bring myself to use the S word so I guess I'll just keep posting sad faces here...

Enjoy it, and I'll get the funds from Coinapult. I'm not involved in this issue but I can find out what the situation is tomorrow.

Still nothing - am beginning to wonder whether I have to put the word SCAMMERS in the thread title to get any help.

Huh

***UPDATE: This issue was resolved, all funds received. Hopefully just Thanksgiving jitters.

Glad that worked out for you - still no joy for me though. Sad

Oh shit.

Rather than running around promoting Bitcoin, I'd rather have the team make sure the basic services actually work. This is serious money on the line, not to mention the reputation of the services and the people behind them.

I need to get a hold of support at some point too.  I'm missing over 5 btc, and I've already waited months.

My friend sent 1.5 BTC through Coinapult via Bitinstant the other day and it went fine, but today sent 15 BTC(!) but when he clicked the link it said, "You have: 0 BTC." Also never got an email from Coinapult this time, just one from Bitinstant confirming the order.

This was through Bitinstant's "bitcoin-to-email" service.

I hope that $200 isn't lost forever.

Unfortunately it would seem that there simply is no support at Coinapult.

Erik and others - I know you guys are busy but seriously I think you should consider selling this "service" to someone who understands how to deliver reasonable service.

Well - am still waiting for the follow up contact. Sad

I think Thanksgiving is well and truly over now - if there is anyone doing support at Coinapult I would appreciate a PM.

Just to update I did get a reply to my PM to Erik and they are going to get someone to look at this in the next couple of days (will update this thread again after that).

To be fair to Coinapult the whole Thanksgiving thing had skipped my mind and was happy to get the message from Erik.

Ive recently had bad experiences with feedzebirds which is the same group running it with bitcoins going missing.

There was a hardware failure with Coinapult's server about a week ago. Plus, the guys have bee traveling NYC to Hong Kong the last few days.

I only know because one was acting as escrow on a very large transaction. The timing difference was annoying but the transaction was all closed perfectly. So I bet they will run by this thread eventually and get it resolved.

I am curious how to get a hold of coinapult, as I accidentally sent coins back to the address coinapult sent to me from.  I sent two messages using the site, but I never got a reply and this was months ago.

Oh - shit - yeah - being from Australia and living in Beijing I forgot all about that.

Well hopefully will hear from someone early next week then.

I'm in Australia too.  I'm thinking that all Aussie Bitcoin businesses should probably put notices up about when they're going to be closed over Christmas given that a lot of people are rolling the weekend before Christmas into a long weekend so many businesses will be closed from the 21st December until at least the 27th.

I doubt you're going to get much customer support from US-based people over the Thanksgiving holiday.
