This happens pretty much every time there is a major move. If you like Coinbase you need to transfer fiat to GDAX and place low ball buy orders. You can't count on Coinbase being responsive during major market moves but if you have buy orders in at GDAX they should get filled.

I am only using the regular exchanges like yobit, poloniex etc where still the trading is going on, coinbase like services are waste as when they see high dump or pump they just close their server so that traders should not get the benefit of this crisis. It is so unfair policy of this type of exchanges where they are controlling the site according to their wills.

Like stated above, selling coins at Coinbase is directly to their wallets. It's like our local exchange wallet here where once we sold our coins, we are dealing with the company and not on other trader itself like those in normal trading exchanges and example of them are the exchanges you mentioned.

It's really unfair for those who have an active funds at Coinbase since they can't execute selling their coins during price crash. And now no profit taking happened because they are not operational.

Anyone else experiencing problems with Coinbase? They say the site is offline. I'm guessing many people are rushing to go buy BTC during the dip and crashing the server?

Just few minutes ago they are operational and I do some transactions there. And now the site is offline. Good thing I done transacting before the price dump. I think Coinbase intentionally shut it down so that people there would not be able to sell as surely they received hard volumes again since the price started to decrease but not that much.

Exchanges with trading feature of against the company are always like that compare to the usual trading exchanges where we deal on the actual traders. No choice but to wait as usual.

"Partial System Outage"

And why should they "intentionally shut it down"?

And why is their exchange www.gdax.com still working without problems?

Strange thinking...

They currently experiencing high traffic & customers have receive a "service unavailable" message based on their status. You will still operate if that is the case? Then you must shut it down. Anyways my above statement is just an assumption. Why always like that whenever price start to decrease for large margin? Just coincidence or you don't have an idea it was happened many times already? Since it was happened many times now, coincidence is already not fit with the situation.

Like I said before I post that, just few minutes ago Im using Coinbase, the price was on decreasing status at that time, then fast decrease happened and then boom Coinbase is not available.

Its not like coinbase going down is new news. This happens any time the price moves even slightly one way or the other. Coinbase can probably affect the price quite well just by holding back so many customers from selling or buying when they want. If they weren't so convenient when they actually work id buy elsewhere =p

Coinbase is crashing because they feel like it.

There's absolutely no world in which an exchange decides they can't handle large transaction volume for weeks on end without at least beginning to fix the problem.

When the price goes up this far exchanges feel like they have an excuse, but they don't.  I'd be terrified as a cryptocurrency trader right now.

I haven't been able to use the Coinbase app / website for maybe close to 2 hours now?  I know better, and even though I'm a "newbie" here, not a newbie in the crypto world and I have no one to blame but myself for still using this garbage medium (I've been traveling and have been using Coinbase a lot due to how easy it is (was) to use).  Lesson learned to many of us here.  Major black eye for Bitcoin and cryptoworld?  Short or long term black eye?  Imagine once it's back up and fully functional.  I have to think there will be a major/rapid sell off across BTC/ETH/LTC?

Unbelievable.. when the site it back up the price will probably be $2800-$3000. Those fuckers. Missed my chance to buy low because of their site. I would go over to Coinmama but there prices are $200 higher.

I LOVE IT! An exchange that chooses when to let customers transact business. Companies in this space are SO unprofessional.
