Hi all,

I wonder how many accounts I should create at exchanges just to be able to quickly react if I want to.
How many accounts on which exchanges do you have?

Thanks for answers

Why would you want multiple accounts?

I mean the sign up procedue on most exchanges are usually quick ande asy, and won't take you more than 5 minutes to complete. If you want the extra convenience then sure, set up an account on every single exchange that you can possibly use for future use. This is what i do personally. But it's not necessary.

Cex has significant issues, coinbase's support isn't exactly the best. Kraken is the best out of the three.

My question has been a bit misleading. I didn't mean multiple accounts on one exchange but rather where to have an account at all.

I use one on each of several exchangers like cryptopia, poloniex, Bittrex and Bitfinex, but I can't react fast because I don't keep my coins on exchangers. As longterm trader I build up my portfolio, so no quick reaction is needed.

I don't want to use any of those websites because they usually have accounts locked for no reason, just recently Bittrex locked a number of accounts.

Kraken's trading engine is buggy and slow. They're a great exchange if you want to deposit and withdraw using SEPA. But when it comes to trading, expect the site to go down when there are big moves and everyone is logging in.

Depending on how many altcoins you are trying to trade. Diversifying the coins to different accounts would probably be your best bet. However, make sure to physically write down the login information.

I use Bittrex, Livecoin, Nova exchange, coinexchange , liqui. It's good for arbitration. Because they seem to serve different crowds.

One account is enough for each and every exchange of your choice! The poster above me is asking if it is possible to make profit trading between exchange? It is actually possible and do able. You need big capital to make profit though. This kind of trading is called Abitrage!

I wonder if you can make profit if trading between the exchanges. Is this doable and/or wise?

You don't need that many accounts unless you want to trade a bunch of different altcoins.  You can get by with only 2 accounts.  One on Coinbase or Gemini to sell bitcoins/ethereums for fiat and one major altcoin exchange like Bittrex, Binance or Poloniex.

This is exactly the set up I have. Why over complicate things? One exchange that deals with fiat to BTC/ETH, and one exchange that deals with BTC/ETH to alts.

I have about 5 accounts on few exchanges.  It's not like you have to have one on every one.  Most have similar coins.  Get a few on the major exchanges and then get a few on the minor ones which deal with up and coming crap coins that might turn out to not be so crap.
