coinbase guys are too good. they are protecting themselves by not adding bitcoin cash for now and preventing all the headache and possible losses because of its small thing which can easily be attacked.
i believe it is because of the pressure of certain people that they have released a new statement. and in that they are still too good! they've said they may add it in 2018! by that time this BCC is either dead or stable with less to worry about.

I think coinbase peeps are playing safe about this. They didn't add bitcoin cash to their system because they're not yet sure of this. That's why many exchanges are also not yet supporting bitcoin cash. Maybe they are not really believe that this will survive long term.
Or maybe this situation is a part in scenario of Whales and rich man hold Bitcoin Cash, example in August 14th Poloniex will listing BCC and the price of BCC in this time will increasing as last week listed to Bittrex exchange.

I think there is no option left to support and list BCC as all the big exchanges bittrex and now poloniex will be listing it and those wallets who do not support BCC, can get low on users and people needs all sort of option with them to buy and sell or exchange. I think BCC should be listed everywhere and then the people will decide its fate by buying or dumping the coins.

They told us coinbase users to move the funds prior to the fork. I did to electrum. If i move the coins back to coinbase will I have the equal amount of bitcoin cash still.
Not at all.You are too late. You should have transformed your bitcoins to any other exchange which supports BCC like bittrex. Now,you have no chance of getting free BCC.Don't worry much about that as you have not lost any potential coin and its only a shit altcoin. Its price is decreasing very fast and soon it may just disappear.

No at all, he is not too late as you can still claim your BCC by following the advise on the forum the https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/aug-1-summary-2059111 is the official release and since you are using electrum, then you are good to go but the difficulty is how you will be able to transfer it to the exchange site.

From the look of things except something drastic that will push the price of BCC high, with the current trend I doubt if it will be able to hold the fort pending the time Coinbase will come on board.

F off I was not late to the game I did what coinbase said to do now they are going back on what they ijitially told customersd. Why the fuck are you assholes so negative it was a simple question.

ok chill my friend nobody blaming you about this problem,
let me explain it a bit more about your case :
Back then before chain split coinbase asked you to move your coin because they did not support it back then, they said BCC/BCH have some issue on it or something like that,so for the sake of their costumer they did not support it so who is want to get an airdrop must do it by themself.
that is why they told you to move your coin into Electrum or other offline wallets.
So,even if you moved it back to Coinbase they can not do it for you because you're the only one who knows about your wallet private keys.

how about it my friend ?

Point taken
If I move funds back to coinbase will I have equal amount of bitcoin cash to withdraw if I chose to do so

LOL Are you serious? You think if you move the coins back to your Coinbase wallet right now you will be eligible to receive the promised BCC in Junuary? Wake up man, you are late. It is for people owning bitcoin before the August 1. Otherwise, everybody could send some bitcoin to their wallet Roll Eyes

Not only coinbase, some other exchange service renders too have started supporting bitcoin cash. Few exchanges have notified its users mentioning bitcoin cash to be used as a temporary source to provide with every user account and which will be changed to btc in a short.

Wow this thread full of miss communication between one to another.
First of all the tittle a bit too controversial, because Coinbase will support Bitcoin Cash on 1 January 2018.
and the second one no one reliazed it :
"They told us coinbase users to move the funds prior to the fork. I did to electrum. If i move the coins back to coinbase will I have the equal amount of bitcoin cash still."

First,OP tittle talking about Coinbase support and the content about getting a BCC/BCH.

First,Coinbase indeed will support BCC/BCH but they will support it on 1 january 2018,if nothing goes wrong with BCC/BCH.
Second,You will not get it because you already moved it to electrum and the only solution to get it is to following this step :

~snip~
Just use private key of your electrum address to claim free bitcoincash. First use http://blockdozer.com/insight/ to check any bitcoincash your bitcoin address might hold. If it have bitcoincash than you should import/sweep your bitcoin address in http://electroncash.org (wallet) using private key of that bitcoin address you will get from your old electrum wallet.

OK problem solved right ?

Completely opposite news. I don't believe anyone. And you recommend to wait until the situation becomes clearer.

https://techcrunch.com/2017/08/03/coinbase-says-it-will-support-bitcoin-cash-after-all-but-it-isnt-committed-to-trading-yet/

It is a simple question I need help on why do people have to be so negative. I assume I will not get bitcoin cash if I move back but want clarification

Of course you won't. Since you moved your funds to an Electrum wallet before the fork, you will be able to get bitcoin cash from those addresses.
Moving your coins back to coinbase won't help you at all.

Very unfortunate once the price of bitcoin cash is experiencing a very significant decline, I regret not selling it on other exchange and now the price declined drastically. Coinbase is already supporting bitcoin cash, but I think it's too late.

Coinbase was really change a lot and I think they are ready taking up Bitcoin cash and regular bitcoin, Ethereum and litecoin, I think they have improve a lot in their service well I may have lost my old account on coinbase, because my phone was taken from me without me noticing it, that is why I can not accept the old coinbase account, but I have a new one and I think I am happy with the improvements, and it is not really too late for some improvements that have been made right now!

I don't believe you will get Bcash back if you have already moved your bitcoin off of Coinbase. But if you moved them before the fork to a local wallet on your computer and not to another exchange, you should still be able to get access to your Bcash. Look around, there are many tutorials on how to go about doing that.
