I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
In my opinion, Blockchain.info is better simply because Coinbase does not allow anyone without a US-based bank account to deposit or withdraw funds. So Coinbase is effectively useless to me!

Coinbase doesn't need us to connect our bank account if we use it as a wallet. You should realize the difference between wallet and exchange.

For webwallet, blockchain.info all the way.  As others have pointed out, if you don't control the private key you don't control your bitcoin.  BCI gives you control of your private keys, coinbase does not.

This is not to say you can't use coinbase to buy and sell bitcoins, but as a wallet, I'd go with blockchain.info.

issues related to technical of Bitcoin as well as the features of the two types that wallet. I hope you do have experience as well as a good

understanding of the two kind of these wallet for making comments about them to help me be able to choose the kind of better.

I sincerely thank you very much for your help all.

Im using both of these wallet i never saw any technical issue with these two Sites. coinbase is really good, i know when they started a free giveaway campaign giving away app 1$ per account that you create. they are really good, with 24 hour active service. And also have very good experience with blockchain. i dont think both will ever scam somebody.

If you refer to Muuhammed Zakir post, he is quite correct. In my views, blockchain.info is wallet centric, while Coinbase is trying to build an ecosystem of its own services. You should go for blockchain.info as your hot wallet and if you want to store large amounts, I think you should consider a cold storage option.
If you refer to Mohammed Sakura post, -snip-

I ain't Japanese. Tongue
Hihihihi Grin Thank you both so much ! I will use blockchain as all of you here have recommended.
alright, glad you chose blockchain.info
remember to take backups and encrypt them properly.

Yes, sure. Thanks for your enthusiastic help ! Have a great day ! Grin

If you only wish to store your bitcoin then blockchain is it. Coinbase is better if you wish to trade them for fiat too and Coinbase wont allow a transaction with gambling sites. So if you do some gambling, dont use coinbase. But the most safe wallet is of course a desktop wallet

Sincere thanks for your help ! shulio

I'm really confused about it. Coinbase or Blockchain ? I have both types of account. I sometimes have gambling, but I rarely. So I do not worry about

it. I know the money transfer is very fast in blockchain and coinbase is quite a bit slower but I really do not know which safer ?

Honestly, I know Bitcoin desktop is the best. But for me, it is very difficult to use. Last year, I 've lost money because i forgot to back it up for new

addresses. And sometimes, I need cash or buy anything... Bitcoin desktop can not respond immediately (wait for sync)

If you are gambling, you should avoid using coinbase as they will closed your account once they noticed that you are receiving funds from gambling. There are already few people who experienced this

Just got a warning from Coinbase about participating in gambling. It appears that they monitor this thread :/

Yes, Surely, I will avoid using Coinbase for gambling, I only use it to receive and transfer to blockchain if I want to gamble otherwise, I will transfer all to Electrum wallet.
I think That is how I have learned from you all here.
I sincerely thanks for your advice !

The link I gave you has comparison which will help you.

Always make a backup of your wallet. If you use only a few addresses, copy addresses and it's private key into a doc and print it. Use a safe printer when you do, preferably, printer which doesn't save what you printed in its memory. If you use an HD wallet such as Electrum, you just need to make a backup of the seed you get. You will be able to recover all the Bitcoin with that seed even if the Bitcoin was in an address you created after making a backup.

Yes, I sincerely thank you so much Muhammed Zakir !

I am using Bitcoin Core with lots of addresses in it. Ago, I used to leave the wallet opening. Because I traded in Bittrex , C-CEX and Poloniex so I can transfer to exchange anytime. and that's why I 've been stolen by a malware link from someone on Poloniex trollbox. I'm not sure I 've lost in the Bitcoin wallet or not, but I certainly have lost 22,400 HYPER and 42,000 HYP from that malware link. Afterthat, I took my laptop to a cumputer store to re-setting it.
When everything have been done , I download Bitcoin core again and installed it. And I discovered that wallet.dat only has two addresses in it because I did not back up the address that I generated later. So I lost my Bitcoin.
And That's why at this time, I did not dare open my wallet when online again .

Blockchain.info:

Security: Medium
Accessibility: High
User-friendly: High

Coinbase.com

Security: Poor
Accessibility: High
User-friendly: Medium

If you want to use an online wallet, I recommend Blockchain.info. But if you want to use a secure wallet, I recommend using a PC/Mobile* wallet. You can see a list of good wallets here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

* Android is least recommended.

I sincere thank you for making the obvious comparison like that. I appreciate it. Through the analysis and compare along with the experience and the assessment of you all here , I can draw useful lessons for me about both of web wallet.

And Mobile wallet.
Honestly, I have never used mobile wallet because I was wondering what would happen if I took the phone or it is damaged...
And PC wallet: I am using Bitcoin Core , but sometimes, I usually forget to back it up. I have lost 1.1 BTC for that althought I have still seen it in the blockchain. And @Light recommended me Electrum wallet and I will have a look in it soon.

And I have just seen your link. but I really don't know which PC wallet is better than all. It remains a wonder in me but in the framework of this thread, I haven't mentioned it yet. I may need your help in other occasions.

Once again, Sincerely thanks !

Coinbase is the worst XBT service available on many levels. My guess is that the majority of their profits actually come from selling user data to government agencies and from market manipulation (front running / strategic order cancellations). You might as well just use a bank and fiat, you'll get certainly get better customer service and it's much faster to open accounts and transfer money.

Blockchain.info is far better than Coinbase but I still would not use it except for experimenting. There are too many ways to lose your XBT on there - most notably the TOR vulnerability. 2FA as we use it today is not actually secure.

By far the best 'web wallet' is mytrezor.com - it is well worth the $120US or whatever for the hardware & data service. It's very easy to use and as far as I know the most secure option available. Use that as your bank and then find a nice mobile wallet like Mycelium or Breadwallet to store small amounts on for daily use. The Trezor device needs a higher build quality for the case (the plastic is cheap and should be replaced with wood or metal) and I hear the server has occasional downtime, but I've never experienced any problems with the server or the device.

I am very grateful for your detailed analysis. It helped me to understand many things. Through the analysis and comparison of you here have helped me have a better view of both the wallet. But there are mixed opinions together. Some people say the Blockchain better and some people just the opposite. But most of you will choose Blockchain.
About Trezor, I 've heard a lot about how great it. But I have not used it. Because $120 is a lot for me, although I would be interested to have one of it. Hopefully, I can afford to buy it !
I sincerely thanks for your help !

I am using blockchain.info and desktop wallet at the moment. Desktop wallet as hot wallet and blockchain as web wallet. This is working quite fine and perfectly for me. I didn't use coinbase yet so I can not say any single word about that. You can try my method if you think this can help you.

Thanks a lot for your help ! But I don't really understand what is your method ? Please help me out about it ! You mean that you will run Bitcoin desktop during 24/24 to keep it sync ? or What you mean for red words ?
Thanks !

I meant to say desktop wallet (window client ) I use to keep large amounts and I also encrypted it with good password. I open desktop wallet once in the morning and second in evening keep it up to date. I transfer funds in blockchain and use it as webwallet to deal with daily stuff. My desktop wallet sysnc just in minutes as BitCoin Core0.10.0 is great wallet very fast and solid. You can keep large amounts in desktop wallet and sync once or twice daily but don't forget to make backup of your wallet.dat. If you need any help still I am available to explain with more words.

Oh! now, I understand  Grin . your method is very good. Previously I had done so but for the transactions related to my Bitcoin irregular sometimes do not open it because it slows my computer speed. I definitely need your help if I do not understand.
I sincerely thanks for your enthusiastic help !

Coinbase have to adhere to VERY strict KYC/AML regulations and they might even suspend or cancel your account, if you use it for something, that goes against these regulations. They have the discretion to decide what services they want you to use or not.
Blockchain.info does not "Ban" accounts, based on the services you use or charge you extra fees for using it.
You could also use Circle as a 3rd alternative, but they have restraints too.  Huh

Oh, That's great information for me too ! this is the first time i heard about that. I did not know about that before. Coinbase might have the right to suspend or cancel the account. I definitely will review this. Thanks again !
I have not yet used Circle althought I have an account of it
