I know this thread is over two months old, but I think this is an appropriate bump.

Somehow I came across Coinex as I was out of my mind looking at altcoin stuff all over the web and noticed that one of the coins I'm interested in is traded on it and that they're a no-KYC exchange, so I decided to give them a shot.  Since I've been burned by smaller exchanges in the past I did find this thread first while researching them and read it in full (and it seems like not a lot of you guys have tried Coinex).

Anyway, I registered and deposited small amounts of two altcoins just to see how the process went.  One coin showed up first, but well after the minimum number of confirmations required by Coinex.  I waited for several hours for the second coin to show up in my wallet, getting more frustrated, and finally I submitted a ticket with the TxID, amount, and a statement of what the problem was.  A true pain in the ass.  When I woke up this morning I had an e-mail from them saying that my coins were credited to my account.  I checked, and they were indeed there.

I haven't done any trades with them yet or withdrawn any coins, so I can't speak to that, but the above experience was my first day using the exchange, and I told them exactly that and how disappointed I was in my ticket.  When I compare that to my experience with Kucoin, there's absolutely no comparison whatsoever.  I've had minor problems with Kucoin in the past, but they were all solved very quickly and didn't happen often.

I think Coinex is legit, but I definitely got a bad taste in my mouth from yesterday's ordeal.

I select KuCoin over CoinEx because KuCoin is like Binance. But still, Kucoin needs you to verify your account so you need to think twice before registering on that site. Maybe you can check HotBit because I hear that exchange does not need you to do KYC so I think if that is real, you do not have to send any document to that exchange. In Kucoin, you can verify the account by filling in Country, Type ID, and the number of your identity so you can start to trade on KuCoin.

if you compare CoinEx or KuCoin, KuCoin Will win but not the best choice.

As a user who was used Binance for a long time, KuCoin was slow and noted by those liquidity compared to Binance, but it is one of the best alternatives at the moment and an excellent alternative if compared to CoinEx.

Note that KuCoin have good support team and they have listed most of good altcoins, but they are some good exchanges for non-Kyc crypto-to-crypto exchange.

If you aren't encouraged to provide KYC documentation using exchange then I will suggest do not use any centralized exchange. I know Kucoin is allowing users even without verifying with KYC, but you should always be ready to provide KYC documentation while using a centralized exchange. In the beginning, even Binance doesn't require KYC for basic users. But later on, they change the rules. So any time a centralized exchange would change mind. And you might fall into a problem if in case your fund is stuck for KYC. A few decentralized exchanges are given above post, it would helpful for you.

Yes, I have. Just tried to get some trading history of my Kucoin exchange, But can't able to get the trade history. I got some deposits history and take screenshots of them. Now going to send an email. Thanks a lot. Hope it will work for me

What do you mean by you can't get it? You should be able to get the trade history for the last year

If you didn't find the page, then go to the top right corners, choose "Orders" > Spot trade history > Trade history (https://www.kucoin.com/order/trade/detail)

I checked the email they sent me again, and I can see that they requested me to provide a screenshot of the assets overview page as well, you can access it from here: https://www.kucoin.com/assets

I have experienced with KuCoin but it was last year I used them because some of the ICO sales can be only buy on that exchange. I haven't experienced any issue using them and it seems that they still allow you to withdraw 5BTC to non-KYC verified.

About Coinex I'm currently trading few coins and token-related NFT games on Coinex and the other thing why I used them it's because I mine on ViaBTC which will allow you to automate withdrawal to your Coinex account. I think Coinex is own by ViaBTC based on what I heard before so I guess it's safe to use because it is one of the well-known BTC pools here on the forum.

Their limit for Non-KYC verified is around $10,000 USD in total so it's around 0.2 in BTC and $1m for verified users.

The bad thing is that if you forgot your password and 2FA and if you want to recover your account they will send you 5 questions related to the question they ask before on account creation. Even you answer them well it won't let you reset your old 2FA and password instead they will ask for KYC and a selfie that telling "you want to reset your account". That is just based on my experience a few months ago so don't forget your password and make sure you have a 2FA backup. So that you won't experience what I experienced before.

Apart from the above mentioned benefit, Kucoin allows you to have 5 BTC daily withdrawal limit without going through KYC. I don’t know how much Coinex allows but 5 BTC without KYC seems quite high. I have been using Kucoin more than a year and so far, I'm very much pleased with their services.
Just tried to get some trading history of my Kucoin exchange, But can't able to get the trade history.
Kucoin keeps log of trading activity for last three months only. After 3 months, log will get deleted automatically.

Do you still have access to your account though? If so, you can try to email them and tell them you're not willing to give your documents away. I did that they ended up asking for some screenshots for the trading, deposit, and withdrawal history page (which make no sense obviously).

Or you can just create new no-kyc Kucoin account with new email address, that is if you don't have any coins left there.
That trading password is single point of failure and they had to protect it somehow, but I don't think that kyc is a good idea.
I have a few bucks there, So it would be nice to get back the account. So why trying to contact Kucoin exchange.
I will update here ...

Hello,
I need an exchange that no need to KYC and safe to use by everyone.
CoinEx or KuCoin?

Thank you.

If you're not trading a huge amount go for Kucoin I have no issue trading there and you'll get passive income just by trading here, go for a decentralized exchange instead if you have an issue with doing KYC, you cannot escape KYC if you are trading on centralized exchange, they are compliant, and part of that complaint is asking KYC to their traders who are trading with a huge amount of coins.

I second the above. Even though I had a bad experience the last time I used Kucoin, I would still suggest it to people however, I would highly recommend you to store your trading password somewhere safe. It doesn't matter if you have your email and 2FA, if you lose the trading password or forget it, you might get asked to submit your documents.
The trading password is just a set of 6 numbers and I don't see how it should be any problem for a trader not being able to memorize it easily. Except where a trader goes ahead to make it complex for himself by closing his eyes while keying the numbers 😏

I have this comparison that kucoin is like a baby Binance so just like everyone else telling that kucoin is better, I'll say the same suggestion about kucoin.
Kucoin is just a xerox of Binance during Binance's early stage of 2017/18 before CZ brought in so many innovations to his platform of recent which has now made Binance somehow complex. Kucoin is user friendly with easy navigation on the site.

But because I have no experience using coinex and not that much aware of their reputation, maybe they could also be another competitor in the near future with the top exchanges, who knows and it will depend on their updates and progress.
Coinexchange lived its prime in 2017/18 before it declared bankruptcy or so and then went under before coming up again. It was one of the first exchanges in addition to Poloniex that I opened an account with when I newly joined this industry (I don't even know what's up with Poloniex too now). Sadly, I won't encourage anyone to keep an account with them now. OP, go for Kucoin.

Thanks for your kind reminder, I am facing this problem with Kucoin. After a long time when I log in at Kucoin exchange and want to do trade, they asked me for Trading Password. Unfortunately, I have forgotten it and want to reset it. But kucoin asked me to do submit KYC DOCUMENT for this!! There is no other option to recover the trading password, So I need to submit KYC Document If I want to use the Kucoin exchange.
Much as I don't like how kucoin put so much emphasis on the Trading password. I do understand where they are coming from in terms of KYC verification for forgotten trading password.

Imagine if someone else claimed had your login details, and they claimed had forgotten the trading password. KYC verification would help to prevent loss of funfs.

No centralized exchange is totally safe to use for everyone, and most of them had some hack incidents in past, including Kucoin.
Never hold coins on exchnage long term, only use them for trading.

There is no other option to recover the trading password, So I need to submit KYC Document If I want to use the Kucoin exchange.

Also, another alternative would be okex which is currently being discussed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5362964.new#new

Thank you.
Can Kucoin support shitcoins? What is your opinion about the BKEX?

I can't really comment on BKEX as I never used it before but for KuCoin, if by shitcoins you're referring to coins we're seeing lately on Panecakeswap etc. then no, just like Binance, they have a reputation to maintain therefore they would never support such a thing.

Both LocalCryptos and Hodlhodl are mainly for fiat trading and not crypto to crypto so these options may not be suitable for you.

KuCoin is more widely used and more reputable as far as I know.

But if you don't like KYC(which is understandable), there are other better options that are a lot less likely to suddenly demand KYC from you.

https://hodlhodl.com/

Thank you.
The LocalCryptos is limited to some coins! ==> https://localcryptos.com/#cryptos
The Hodl Hodl is just for the Bitcoin?

It's Kucoin for me. The reason is it;
- More reputable. They even got hacked sometime back but no users were affected
- Has more trading volume and liquidity
- I still like their limits for unverified accounts. 5 BTC limit for every 24 hour withdrawal.

Kucoin - Top 4 overall ranking
Coinex - Rank 46

Based up on CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

You could already tell on which one would be the best choice.Just like on what had been suggested above on where if you dont like
centralized exchange you could always deal with Dex ones but of course there would be missing features on it.

I will suggest Kucoin. I have used this exchange from the beginning without any issue. So You can choose it. But I am not sure about the kyc recently. Because I did  not use it for last two month. It's sure that you can trade without kyc but there is a Limit maybe. On the other hand You can use Dex exchange where you can trade without KYC which was suggested before.
