This thread, and the excellent way Matthew described what the post of Coinhunter was all about only comes to show that BCX and his dogs are in fact retarded folks with no grasp of the english language much less of life itself and that they are so blind with their war against Solidcoin they fail to see the obvious.

Meta, but it won't happen. The only reason this board exists was because I finally told theymos that if he didn't either make this board or ban the topic altogether immediately, I was going to start deleting all the alt-currency threads.

Now, stick to the topic at hand, shall we? (or PM me instead of trying to communicate with me in a thread)

Edit: I wrote this before I saw Matthew's excellent post. Just in case he missed something I mentioned, though, I decided to post it anyway.

Let me break this down:

Statement of fact in third person. Completely valid from CoinHunter's prospective.


Rephrased: "I wouldn't use a network myself if the original creator could zap coins whenever they want". It was poorly phrased and didn't use the right prospective, but that would make sense. Perhaps the first line was edited after he wrote this and forgot to re-edit this line?

Direct response to this:
"I" = CoinHunter
"he" = BitcoinEXpress

Rephrased: "You don't think that it'd be a bigger story than BitcoinEXpress crashing the market if it turned out that I really could zap coins"?


That being said, I think this boils down to CH not realizing how powerful his "trusted nodes" are, since he's such a bad developer. All it takes is him not allowing the trusted nodes to accept and build on a block containing blacklisted transactions and the coins are essentially "zapped".

Correct.  However, tenses are usually synchronized.  Infact almost always, unless conscious thought is applied inorder to produce another communicative effect.  If thirdpersons are used with a communicative effect in mind, quotes are usually put around the third person tense. The reference to "Solidcoin would be run by people I don't like" is what stands out to me - it comes right after a third-person tense.  Right after.  This "I" is referring to CH (who runs solidcoin).  This is an negative opinion which is expressed from a first-person perspective about the person expressing it, right after a third-person tense?  No, that's not congruent at all.  Massive tense changes don't 'just happen'.  If they do 'just happen', then you need to go see your doctor because you have a neurological disorder.

You're correct that eventually he refers to himself in the first person.  But the way I see it this only allows for three options

1) Either he 'accidentally' switched back and forth between tenses
2) He has a neurological disorder
3) He got mixed up using sockpuppet accounts.

1 is unlikely because the brain just doesn't work like that.
2 is debatable but in this case unlikely (i imagine it'd make it hard to code).
3 is most likely according to Occam's Razor.

I don't know coding at all, there's a lot of people who can vouch for code around here.  But when it comes to Hermeneutics... that's my area.

Edit:  Hermeneutics pretty useless when it comes to code.  But when it comes to lieing, it'll catch them every time.

Folks, read the post again, but in context. It'll make much more sense. CoinHunter was merely referring to himself in the third person. You'll notice, however, that references to "me" allow apply to CoinHunter.

I can't speak for johnj, but I know if someone starts speaking in the third person, they're likely on the wrong account or self-absorbed.  Or both.

 

Considering so many of you are using the term sockpuppet, I bet you are all in the non-solidcoin camp and "sockpuppet" accounts of someone like bitcoinexpress, that is the only explaination why everyone of you would use the word sock puppet, correct?
