Love the site! Thanks!

Hi CoinMarketCap! Site looks great as always  Smiley

Could we get the HyperStake coin supply taken from this new block explorer? The other one keeps having problems and doesn't give the freshest stats to CMC.

Hey Gliss!

Crypto-Trade has just added:

All updated, thanks!

Hi Gliss.

Would you consider adding BitShares X BitAssets to coinmarketcap?

Currently, BitUSD exists, and apparently has a market cap of about half a million. BitBTC also exists but I'm uncertain of it's market cap.

Hello Gliss,

I was thinking this would be a neat addition within the BitSharesX view (http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitshares-x/) but rather than put the assets on the main page, include them as a separate tab (similar to charts, market, social), called "Market Assets" so to reflect the total value of each BitAsset "under BTSX". If you would be willing to consider doing this work sometime in the coming months, I am sure we could start a fund to pay for your time out of the bitsharestalk.org community.

Great idea, will try to incorporate.

Well, then several Ripple assets could also be added... As far as I get it, BitShares assets are just reflecting things outsides of BitShares in price, so while they might be capped, they in the end only depend on BitSharesX market caps and are nothing that exists on its own.

This was my understanding as well, at least for BitUSD.  I'll add it so we can track the trade volume, but I'm not sure how useful a market cap calculation would be for it.

I also noticed there's no block explorer linked in the supply column for BTSX, can you add www.bitsharesblocks.com please?

Btw I'm the developer of the site, if you need a json feed for current supply of BTSX and its assets I'd be happy to provide you with one.

A json feed would be great.

Nemstake was listed, wasn't it? so there is a precedent for listing assets.

Now that I'm awake, lol, I'd like to add that although bitUSD is made with BTSX, and shares the same blockchain, it exists independently once an ask or short is fulfilled. Third party exchanges are be able to add it if they want (BTER did, in fact).

Also, with bitUSD on coinmarketcap you can see when the price deviates from a dollar, and see how liquid it is, giving you the opportunity for quick profit.

He actually sold quite few compared to what he still owns and no, that is not part of the ~9 billion that Ripple Labs already handed out, so it was already included in the ~29 billion float. Did you even read what I wrote directly above your post?!

Jed recently dumped a load of XRP on the market, so that must have increased the available supply.

Frankly I don't even think Ripple should be listed period.  Somehow they just randomly change the # of coins and their marketcap goes up because of it ?  How does that even work ?   Would that work with other coins?  I understand doubling/whatever the money supply, I just don't understand how that tripled the value of Ripple.
I explained Ripple a page ago, here's the short version just for you:

There are 100 billion XRP.
Ripple Labs held 80 billion of these and so far has given ~9 billion away.
Coinmarketcap initially reported only that ~9 billion XRP are the "available supply" (the default view, the total supply is still ~100 billion and can't increase) - now they corrected it to show ~29 billion, which is 100 billion - 71 billion held by Ripple Labs.

I am by the way not sure how this should make them "not available" (especially considering that Ripple Labs is giving them away), but that's up to Gliss to decide, apparently he chose to limit the anti-Ripple trolling around here by just deciding not to count XRP held by Ripple Labs as "available", thus reducing their market cap in the default setting and making Litecoiners happy...

BitAssets are collateralized by Bitshares X, but the value depend on things "out of Bitshares X price" and not the market cap of Bitshares X.

So you have a BitUSD, it will be worth the equivalent USD in BTSX.   If BTSX goes up or down, then 1 BitUSD will still be worth $1 of BTSX.  So in that regard the value is not dependent on the market cap of Bitshares X, except when measuring it terms of BTSX.  That is true for EVERYTHING though.  Anything bought/sold in BTSX would have its value dependent on marketcap of BTSX.

The problem is that while the experiment is a grand one, it would not be fair to list these assets that are collateralized in BTSX on the front page.  It would be double-dipping for lack of a better term.

On the other hand, it would be of interest to users of coinmarketcap to know this information.

English Motherfucker do you speak it ?
Possible to show BTC volume instead of USD volume in the charts? Here: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero

Would also like to be able to hover over volume bars and see volume, just like I can hover over price and see the price. Instead of having to look at the side. Both these features would greatly improve the site
