How the hell did you get scammed again? That's a pretty stupid thing in my opinion to be scammed again and not learning a thing or two about the first time that you got scammed. Also, aren't there sites that are legitimate stores for this mining rigs?

Mostly the sites I went to I thought were real, then the money is gone and you say "crap, that was my hard earned money"

As far as the coinminingcentral.com (which is how this got started) they still haven't sent me a miner.
The Bobcat 300 is over the 12 weeks. They claimed 8-12, then I've got buddies that have ordered also.
Now we've all been scammed. when you buy one of these "bitcoin" miners you are basically doing work for
them with your power bill, with the hopes you will make a profit. cha ching cha cha cha ching chagitaching

Money Pit??? like a boat!

LOL thanks for asking yes I found several Ebay sellers that came across as reputable and purchased cards to fill the mining rig slots.
Mostly the scams are thwarted when I called Capital One and they went after the site. The credit card company is the hero here, and
I'm constantly looking for a good deal on some replacement GPU's since the ones I fill my rig with are too small and unprofitable to
return my investment in a year, but that's what I could find to fill the slot. I got some "ok" hash rates with some AMD 550's and 560's.

I think all this talk about shining and advancing web sites on here is just BS... All I was saying is exactly that... I should be able, after
all that crappy service in the world, these guys did a good job and thanks! it's not a this guys is better than that conversation. Stop.
Tell me that's not why you've gotten trust markers... I've never even been on this forum or any other coin forum.

And how the heck are all these people on the web trying to purchase going to magically check up on every site that is out there
advertising merch to see if they are "legit" when all they want is to purchase something, just to find there's a "shitter" out there
looking to scam them, hook line and stinker. Sounds like you've got your "trust" panties mixed up... must be something better
out there for to spend your clicks on!

When the "Decentralized" system is more trustable more people will jump in to invest and get wallets and make purchases.

Right now it's scam or be scammed!

About miningcave. It seems they are not a scam, though OP praising it in a scam accusation kind of raises questions on what the purpose of this post was.

Common, if we follow this pattern nobody will want to suggest a reseller because they will be accused of shilling.
Miningcave has been around for years, they have their own topics and threads, and they are one of the few left in business still being legit, if you buy from five places and get scammed in four wouldn't you mention where you haven't get scammed?
And now that I've defended miningcave, does my post also raises questions?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

They are not very likely, but from the thread I linked it can be seen that their prices are at least 20-30% higher than if someone are bought directly from the manufacturer. Everything, of course, comes at a price, and orders from China have slowed down considerably since the pandemic.

Good luck managing to buy something directly, the L7 is sold out at Bitmain at $12.8k, Miningcave still has that batch at just 14,314, that 10%, it's the average around, I've seen even worse. Prices go up whenever there is a solid spike in revenue, with little gear on the market once the manufacturer is sold out you could pay even double for it. On top of that resellers always manage to get ahead of normal customers, even manufacturers favor this, is far better to deal with 10 customers than with 1000.
And this is how you end with dropshipping companies that afford to pay upfront for 100-200 pieces and then sell them with a nice bonus on top of it.

Now, OP, after congratulating you for not falling for the miningcave clone website that has made a few victims around, do you plan on changing your strategy and before purchasing something from some random website come here on the forum in the reputation section and ask if this and that one are legit or not?

Also, why still do the same mistakes though?

If there is truth in what the OP states, then the real problem is in its approach - because paying such large sums of money to strangers really doesn't make sense without escrow or at least using PayPal which protects the customer very well. If it’s not a scam thing, then that’s what I’ve already mentioned - you say 9 companies are scam, and point out one that isn’t - free advertising.

In this regard, we may be able to conclude that most of these sellers actually order goods from China only when the buyer pays for them - and given the delivery situation, the whole delivery process to the buyer can take quite a long time.

ou ask great questions, because once someone is scammed, they usually learn a lesson - but if they are scammed 9 out of 10 times, then the question arises as to whether that person is actually looking for trouble and finds it obviously in unlimited quantities. Of course, it should be taken into account that the OP obviously has a lot of money, because how else to explain that it wastes it so easily...

One thing also catches my eye, and that is that the OP praises one company - so the question arises why experiment if there is someone you trust completely? Specifically in this regard -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53916792
He surprised me too. How does someone get scammed for 9 times and doesn't even bother changing the way they try to shop for the mining gear?
When you get scammed that many times, even just 3 times, then just know that maybe the problem is you.

That's cool coming from you. Also, why still do the same mistakes though? Just because OP has a lot of money that means that he has to be careless about it. That's an intriguing one, why not go that right?

Also the ebay deals I've had are messed up because they get your money and you wait for the item but it could
be weeks then you go back to give bad feedback and the sellers been banned and you are out.
Trying at that point to recover from the purchase showing receipts and statements to fraud agents.
Like I said, avoid buying miners from sites like eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, Alibaba. Even with the buyer protection. You will still get duped. They will send you something that is not what you expected and by the time you realize. The Buyer protection will have expired.

As far as the Bobcat goes they claimed 8-12 weeks... 2 days to make the 12 week deadline.
Batch 13? at this rate it will be another month
You still haven't specified which site you used. So many fake sites out there, and you might be waiting in vain.

The rule should be to always buy miners from official manufacturer's stores and partners. If the miner is out of stock in official sites. Don't go looking for them in random sites. There's 100% chance of getting scammed.

I'm not saying I didn't get miners, I just got scammed 9 times out of 10, and I questioned every purchase.

That is a stunning rate of getting scammed. Perhaps you should hold off from making future purchases from this industry.

The whole system is a sham a fake to get the unknowing to send off too much money for "little" profit.
The only way it works is if you've got free power and a huge bankroll, because everyone is ripping you off.

This part has some truth to it in that it's definitely an insider's game. Some people who have been at it for quite a while know how to make it work in their own way... we have quite a few successful independent miners here on the forum.

I might sound like I'm venting, but I want people to know they are about to get taken in every way.

No harm in that I suppose. And I even checked the link of the one place you said was alright, and they appear to be legit. Was wondering if this was a weird advert or something at first.

Never buy miners from Ebay, amazon. You can easily get duped.

I agree with everything you said but the above.
Both eBay and Amazon have very good buyer protection.

Which is why repeatedly on here we tell people not to sell their old miners on  on eBay / Amazon (mostly eBay).
OP sounds like someone who heard about the "magical internet money" and did a quick search and bought the 1st miners they saw without doing any research.

It's about time you started learning a lesson, as you have been a victim several times. Ask the community before you send money if you are not sure. We have mining and service boards here where members know legit stores that sell miners.

I ordered a miner on the web on coinminingcentral.com and the price was really low for a great machine, so I had my doubts to begin with.
I paid the fee in coinbasecommerce 1149.99GBP equivalent to 1586.20USDC. I immediatly got a return that the price was an error, and they sent me into a circle claiming I had been refunded but the money never went back into my account
So many complaints about them. I don't trust them

I swear this decentralized coin system is the end of real commerce.
Decentralization means you take full control of your money. If you are just going to careless hand out your money without doing and due diligence. You will end up funding scammers every time.

I ordered a miner on the web on coinminingcentral.com and it finally came I've deleted all the bad messages now.
The bobcat 300 showed up too a few weeks late but a real company...
You'll just have to use your own judgment whether to trust anyone on the web.

as promised I've taken off the nasty comments I said, but I can't delete other's quotes... good luck
