Yes some coins are brands and they play the role accordingly. If you look at bitcoin, its value shows its brand value. So I think coins are brands and reflect their own features.

Coins can be brands if you choose the best one to transact with. For example, if choose bitcoin and ethereum, they are the best crypto currencies till now and in so many places they are being accepted. So, in that way you can consider it as a brand.

it change person to person but from my perspective we should choose our coin based on profitability and benefits based on this I can tell btc is the most famous coin which is still 1st position in the market and gives lots of profit to their customers. So I can tell  bitcoin is the best.

I'd recommend not getting too emotionally attached to any coin or project.

Some coins seem to have a great brand and we therefore decide to invest in them. But if things come to light that show that actually the project isn't progressing or the founders do not have good morals etc then we should be prepared to sell our coins and not be too obsessed with the brand

Usually, we choose brands that reflect our identity and values.
But is the same for coins and tokens? Do we choose coins based on our values?
Are coins are brands?

That's a good question. I think people SHOULD select coins and ICOs based on values and if they follow the same ideology behind the coin/ICO.

But generally, people follow hype and whatever is popular, unfortunately.

Maybe it does matter, but I do not think that someone who wants to invest properly has been influenced by this. It's kind of like betting, you never have to put on partiality.  Smiley Smiley

In my opinion it may be relative, however this brand concept can be found only in ICOs or in some specific currencies. However we investors or enthusiasts can not rely solely on property or marketing aspects, in this case these aspects only aid in disclosure or perhaps have some influence for the investor, being thus relative again.

I think for coin only brand doesn’t matters. The value of the coin also matters for the investor. I think that the investor not only see the brand they should also keep their eyes on the market condition.

After the development of the encrypted world, the brand of the coin will become more and more important, a good coin is a brand, which includes a strong community, a good technical team and a marketing staff.

To some extent, yes. Especially, this works with tokens as there is plenty of people who are idle to dig into details and just buy coins/tokens based on some superficial evaluation. I've even seen some people on Reddit who purchased certin coins just because they liked the logo.

I would say that most of cryptocurrencies are just means of monetization for various projects. People mainly invest in projects, because they want to earn profits from it. People don't buy clothes or cars for the same reasons, they rather do it to follow fashion. After some time cryptocurrencies might indeed become a subject of fashion, especially if we talk about the projects which are related to healthcare, charity or ecology. For now, however, that is not the case, so my answer to your question is negative.

coins are brands in my eyes, like if someone uses something expensive people treate them in a different way. the same way if i hold some expensive coins like bitcoin people will give him some extra value. this how it works.

Not exactly I think. We are going to choose those on the basis of what I wnat from it. Not by seeing the brand only I think. Though there are many who goes by brand and that is their personal choice. But I believe in facilities they are giving rather than brands.

They absolutely are. Also take into account when this coin appered on the market as the first will always be the first. And see what technology it brings and what good it does to people. Don't forget to check what people are behind the coin.

It really depends on the person. Some people choose their coins due to some influence from friends. I got to choose my tokens or coins from my own research and beliefs that the money that I'm going to invest in won't be put to waste. There are lots of shitcoins in the market and you have to do your own research if you want to profit in the long run. I personally do some thorough research about the people behind doing the project for me to make sure that I'm investing my money to a trustworthy technology.

that based on the personal opinion. Basically, everyone has a different perspective. But what's your value? This could become the main question about that. Since there are so many altcoins in these days and everyone will free to choose the one that full fill all of the personal requirements.
