Now there are more and more coins and making the competition very tight, coins that already have a strong marketcap such as ETH, BNB or others will of course continue to innovate to maintain their position while newcomers will continue to be the best, and I think many coins will threaten ETH's position and some of those coins for example TRON and Fantom.
Only time could tell, while the new coins are trying to develop to surpass the success of the top coins like BNB and ETH, let us not forget that these coins are also being developed to remain at the top and to even grow their value in the future. I'm not saying that no coin could beat ETH because we never know what would happen in the future and if we search enough and being lucky at the same time, who knows we can hit the jackpot by making a fortune investing in new coins, but as I said, we never know the future of a certain coin, so it's hard to guess.

have you tried using avalanche, bsc or solana? if you have.. then you will feel the convenience that you will not get when using ethereum, especially solana which is much faster and have cheaper gas fee than ethereum. i'm not sure solana, bsc or avax will be able to replace eth, but all three will be ethereum's tough competitors in terms of adoption.

While such predictions can't be accurate and there are plenty of examples of promising coins crashing (such as Ripple), there are a few optimistic looking ones. First and foremost, I regret not investing in Polkadot, while Polygon, Binance, Terra and Crypto.com are a few honourable mentions.

I don't really know about Coins with potential like Ethereum. Maybe Dot, BNB, SOL, ADA.
The Binance Smart Chain and it's native coin, BNB, have replaced Ethereum because its very similiar except for the fact that the transaction fees are much much much lower. But that being said, BNB is not actually fully decentralised. It has 21 validators and is considered semi-decentralised. I would keep an eye on SOL, as it is growing fast with a lot of promise. ADA has been around for a while and still has not really been able to overthrow ETH as the "new ETH".

You mean the same technology of ethereum?, Well there are many of them but here's my top coins that has the same technology of ethereum which are Polkadot, Solana, BNB and Matic these coins are quite potential to be like ethereum, you will not regret with these coins if you hold them for long term.

I would say that you'd have to look at some riskier plays like Solana.
I personally am not a big fan of Solana because of their issues with network being down hours at a time etc., but if they can fix these things and become more decentralized then they do have a lot of potential going forward.
A lot of people are hyping up MATIC and other L2s but at the end of the day they will only be as big as the L1 that they build on.
I'm not that sure but I think BNB, SOL, DOT, AVAX are some of the projects I know that can compete with Ethereum and therefore have the potential as the Ethereum. It's not that bad to load some of this coins for long term investments since these coins were good projects that were similar or have the potential like the Ethereum.

That's also not the only reason to be able to say that BNB and Matic are the next Ethereum, why would you equate every coin that is alive with its own potential in the market at the size of Ethereum? don't Ethereum, BNB, and Matic have their respective histories in the crypto space so nothing deserves to be equated in this regard.

There are actually lots of good coins that could also reach the achievements of Ethereum. Coins like BNB, BCH, and ADA are some of the potential coins for me. When it comes to transactions, I would prefer BNB because of its cheaper fee and I guess that's the edge of other altcoins from ETH.
In my opinion best to look at Polygon, Cardano, Polkadot, Solana, Chainlink, Uniswap, Avalanche, and FTT. At present these all are performing well and performed well in the recent months so expectations are still higher from these coins to continue their upside momentum but nobody can tell the future of these coins but they are in demand in the market.
Of course there are many coins that have the potential like Ethereum, some coins that will be like Ethereum include BNB, Solana, Polkadot and so on, especially now that many coins are adopting NFT and Metaverse so that they will skyrocket in the future.
While it is possible to skyrocket in the future for some very obvious reasons, They will never be the same as Ethereum, as Ethereum is a personal and development based move that is favored by many to put it in second place for a very long time.
