I like Latium. Its distribution model is based on affiliates (which I normally hate) but the coins are free so who cares and it should in theory give a huge user base.

Sterling and dollar are under-rated. Backed by corrupt governments and financial terrorists too although most here seem to think that a currency based on nothing more than a promise of a developer is worth more.

Yes I know they're not perfect by a long way but they have a lot going for them compared to any crypto currency

myriadcoin,

I still believe in this coin although I can't remember exactly why.

Same thing with Nautiluscoin.. Some real innovation, financial backing and industry know-how. Also incredibly subject to Wall Street manipulation, but I am holding for the long run.

I also like CounterParty which I never hear about except for on podcasts. And I only hear about UNO in its respective thread. (Also a handful of self-imposed financial gurus seem to like it too.)

Some decidedly unpopular coins that I am holding long-term or "forever":

AC
DOGE
EMC2
HIC
ISR
LTC
MINT
NOBL

(feel free to flame away, I don't care)

Off topic. Dork. This is a thread about coins, not sucking it for the state. Move on, clown.

I'm too fan of both Huntercoin and Fluttercoin and I don't
think they get the attention they deserve..

But the market at present is driven by quickly changing fad and
get-rich-quick mentality.

I really like Huntercoin because is the only really different coin, being human minable with a game included in the wallet, but the initial hype seems vanished.

I like Primecoin. This coin really helps to science:
Another world record broken on 5/16! We found our first 14 length Cunningham chain of the second kind! Which has on origin with 100 digits.
This coin has real scientifc value. Check it out on http://primecoin.io/

Its sister coin Peercoin also isn't liked enough by the community, imho.
Sure, it has a big market cap, but there's barely any discussion about it on Bitcointalk, even though it's developping awesome concepts based around the coin, like Peershares: http://peershares.net/general-information/
