did cointerra not convert your december order into a jan (+1 later) order?  (with your agreement)
I think the point there is that the claim that they're shipping is a currently unsubstantiated. People with early orders, who would have expected to have heard something, seem to have heard nothing so far. Sad

Sorry your car is missing 20% of its engine... we'll give you a discount on your next one!

And it's more Gas than advertised...... Cry Cry

How late is the feb batch going to be??

OK.. please dont shoot me.  im just playing devils advocate here.. and using your car analogy... to show you from cointerra's point of view.

youve ordered a sports car that was advertised as going at 200 MPH and consume 20 MPG and youve paid them $6,000 up front for it.

Now, theyve come back and told you that theyre sorry, that the car that they built will go 170 MPH, and consume 24 MPG and with further tweaks in the future it may go faster.

Theyve told you you can have a choice...

do you still want your sports car delivered even though it goes a little slower.. at 170 MPH and consumes 24 MPG?  or would you prefer a refund?

Do you think a car company would allow you to take your car... but because it doesnt go 200 MPH and only goes 170 MPH do you think they will offer you a 15% refund?  (i dont think so).   theyre offering you your only two choices... 1.  take it as is and hope they continue to tweak it... or 2.  have a refund.

The cost of building the car was the same so its not like they can afford to refund you anything.  if you choose to take a refund they will sell the car to someone else.

dont shoot me.. im just explaining it in the way that theyre seeing it.. and using your car analogy works well.

Your car analogy breaks down because losing top speed doesn't affect the utility of the vehicle in any practical way.

It would be more relevant to say you bought a truck to haul gravel 2 tons at a time to a site 500 miles away on one tank of gas.

Now they tell you that the truck can only haul 1.6 tons of gravel 350 miles.  Your needs haven't changed so you have to figure out a way to get 150 miles of extra gas into the truck, and buy more trucks to meet your contract.

There is definitely some amount of risk sharing by customers in this case that is reasonable.  But a tiny discount on future hardware doesn't really seem to be compensation.

I'm hoping to see much better communication from Cointerra this week.  Timing is still the most important factor, and a recovery there for January and February orders would improve my views greatly.

has anyone got their shipping tracking # yet?
I don't have anything and I was a pretty early December customer who paid for overnight shipping....do December orders get anything? Not that it matters since I also have a Jan order

the point is that they did not take only part of money upfront but full payment.
they miscalculated and have to see it as their business risk. its pretty clear that hey know what they promised and were not able to fulfill it. i (we) fulfilled our part of contract (paid it upfront etc.), so the question is: why we should pay for CT miscalculation?
nobody believes (and its for sure not so) that CT is working with 0% profit. you can be sure that they will make their ROI...

I understand your point of view good but don´t think that CT should get full profit and we should lose most of our profit.
15% coupon on next purchase is just a Ponzi-like offer with pushing our promised/missing hash power to may-batch and even asking extra money NOW for that that we get it at all...

Doesn't make any sense giving 15% discount on your next order Huh. When really they should be giving at least 20% part refund as they have not provided what was advertised. Has anyone asked for a part refund? or got better than 15% discount on next order?

not yet...  I'm still hoping for the next week or two.  I'm also hoping for my hashfast 'sierra' order to be delivered in a similar time.  i just received a baby jet today, so the rest may be being built as we speak...  the race is on!

Makes you wonder if they even have the resources.  They only mentioned refunds through Feb orders.  I wonder if they have the capital reserve to issue refunds beyond that.

more likely they're continuing to tweak...   and maybe they don't know what performance they will have for march and maybe it will be faster, or even full speed?

15% off per unit.

if you have 4 unit ordered that's almost 1.6TH loss in hash rate that equals to another terraminer so in order to get full discount i have order another 4 future miner? that's not cool.

exactly!
I ordered 4 units with total hash power of 8 TH/s. And paid for 8 TH/s. cointerra advertised that it will be the first miner to break 3$ per GH/s wall.

i want my 8TH hashing power, so please send me my extra unit!

if CT does not give me a extra miner, it would mean that i have loss of 5999$, so why i should be happy about 4 rebatcoupons with value of ca 3600???

it is just ridiculous to offer some coupons without any real value: if i would buy now one may batch TM i would still have to pay 5999*0.95-3600=2100$ for machine wich does not give me back anything... Should i really pay 2100$ (+shipping) for my PAID hashing power to get it shipped in may??? idiotic!!!

It's interesting that they don't mention refund requests for March orders and beyond.  I wonder if they will issue those on request?

if i was a customer for anything later than feb i would be getting out before there is another price increase.

It is false advertising, and the fact that they still sell them as 2th miners when they know they can't produce that now is pretty lame.
