You need to add the "total net amount" for the deposit transaction.
That means your deposit transaction should be 0.98 "plus" the 0.01 ETH Fee (instead of 0.99 ETH).
You find all fees listed in the "fee report" (https://cointracking.info/fees.php)

@Andreas_CoinTracking

I'm missing some important things for this 2020/2021:

- Polkadot address support
- Kusama address support
- Avalanche address support
- Coinlist exchange support
- Support for zPub HD Bitcoin addresses (Native Segwit addresses use zPub)

New paid (expert) user to cointracking.  I attempted multiple times to just mass import everything and of course that did not end up going well.  i removed everything and now i have 1 exchange added to see if i can better understand the workings of the tracking software.  After some reading i decided not to include USD deposits/withdrawls, however im running into an issue.

added 1 exchange
originally i transferred money from my checking account into the exchange which was then used to purchase Ethereum.
the software is showing all my withdrawls of the ethereum to my hardware wallet as missing.  I'm assuming this is because it does not see a deposit of ethereum into the exchange wallet. Obviously this was because i used USD to buy the ethereum.

A little hard to explain but i hope someone understand what i'm trying to say here. my guess after some messing around is i have to change the withdrawls to transfers, i just want to make sure this wont mess up anything else.

Sure, just send us a Ticket/E-Mail and add your CSV there. And we will update the CSV importer. Thank you in advance.

Exodus' "export all transaction" format recently changed, so import now returns lots of errors. Any chance for an update?

is there a reason balance by exchange seems to not reflect fees on deposit (i.e. like when depositing to Kraken which charges additional fees on deposit for ETH: https://www.reddit.com/r/KrakenSupport/comments/l2u5lo/kraken_eth_deposit/gk8mg6n/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)?

Repro:

1. make a withdrawal for 1 ETH for exchange A with a fee of .01 ETH (so this should be a total of .99 ETH)
2. make a deposit for .99 ETH for exchange B with a fee of .01 ETH (so this should be a total of .98 ETH)
3. Go to 'balance by exchanges' and search for exchange B
4. See that exchange B shows a balance of .99 ETH instead of .98 ETH, implying the deposit fees (or at least one set of fees) are ignored

Should I be entering this a different way, perhaps the issue is that the 'withdrawal' is taking .01 ETH from my total on exchange A rather than from the withdrawn amount? According to the FAQ (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000007202-entering-fees) I am entering the Withdrawal and Deposit correctly so I'm assuming this is a bug where deposit fees are not included. My repro looks like this:

Possibly you set your report to "weekly" in your account settings. Or you E-Mail provider had issues here passing our Mails.

If you have still issues please send us an E-Mail to [email protected] with your username to check your account individually.

Hello,

Email notifications about trades from exchanges arrive almost a week later.  Just got an email from Cointracking about a "new" Bittrex trade that actually happened on Feb 6.  It's useless to have notifications that are so late.  If it's a bug, please fix it ASAP.  I almost thought my Bittrex account was hacked and someone was trading on my behalf.

For Coinbase please check if you have the latest API version installed as described here: "Coinbase API issues" (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031012?lang=en)

Please keep in mind that all exchanges seems to be flooded these days and there might be delays providing data via API. We experience this e.g. for Binance.

I'm having a lot of trouble importing a few new buys from coinbase. I've added/re-added the API import a few times and it looks like it ran but I get no new trades.

Is there a way to see a log of what is happening during the import? I wan't to verify what the API import is doing but cant. Everything else on my account is fine.

feature request: In the current balances section of the dashboard, can you add an item to the dropdown for 'show 0 balances' to hide balances under a custom amount? for example, I would love to be able to hide all balances less than $10 USD.

Thanks!

@vampyz
You are welcome.
Yes, this is possible - if it is allowed within your country (tax laws).
You can summarize them manually per day/week/month/year to one entry and set a start data to your API job after you did that to avoid re-import of the deleted transactions.

Ah okay thank you! I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be allowed in my country (for tax purposes) since it would be the same amount whether its 1 transaction or multiple. Just trying to save money and not upgrading to get more transactions.

Thanks again for the help!

We are working on this topic already. The withdrawal transaction is not needed. You need to delete those withdrawal transactions manually. Only the staking (income) transactions are needed. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

- Staking import fix for the Kraken API
...

I have been using the Kraken API for ages and just started staking recently. Each time a staking reward posts to my Kraken account I see 2 transactions in CoinTracking. One is a "Staking" type tagged to group "Kraken Staking" and the other is a "Withdrawal" type tagged to group "Kraken Ledger". Both transactions are the same amount so they net to zero. The most recent occurrence was yesterday 2021-01-30. I'm not sure if this issue is related to the fix above, but why is this extraneous "Withdrawal" transaction being imported?  Thanks.

@Andreas thanks! That's what I figured for the Kraken question, but I appreciate the advice of adding a label to separate it.

For my 1 Kraken account, it gave me thousands of inputs due to it importing rollover fees, margin fee and margin profit. Would it be okay to make 1 input for each of those things instead of having hundreds of them? Meaning, for all the rollover fees I would add them all up, delete them and then make just one input for all of the rollover fees for a given year.

Would this work? I'd imagine it wouldn't affect my calculations.

Thank you
