I'm curious on two items.

1. How are realized and unrealized gains calculated? I'm a bit confused and think it must have to so with FIFO or something. In particular coins I use to purchase alt coins have some results that confuse me. IE. I hold BTC and also buy it to purchase alts and the realized gain/loss is very surprising to me.

2. It looks like everything gets paired against USD so there must be a historical price database that is being referenced, is this correct? If so, is this something that is publicly available?

Help on ICOs:

Simple scenario.

1. Bought 5 bitcoins on coinbase. (imported)
2. used 1 BTC for Lisk ICO. (manual import: should this be general trade, deposit, or transfer?)
3. sold Lisk on Polo (imported)

cointracking balances the amount of LSK out to 0.

But there is no realized gain on LSK in the  'Gains' tab??
Also, how can I make sure that the 1 BTC used for the ICO debits the coinbase BTC amount and any gains from there??

Could you please review the price of Neblio as it seems to have the wrong format. Coinmarketcap shows 28.76USD so it should vary around this figure, however the mobile app shows a current price of 0.0006USD.

Many thanks.

Well if the Binance API is broken then I expect any service would not be functional that depended on it. CoinTracking also supports manual export/imports of trading info, it's not as automated or complete as the API, but it's better than nothing.

Any suggestions on a coin tracking site for desktop that actually works? CoinTracking sucks, I've tried three times to import from Coinbase, GDAX, and Binance, but balance is all fucked up. Useless site.

Anyone that is considering buying CoinTracking right now and you use Binance...DON'T.

API is unusable, CT says Binance won't converse with them.

To put it bluntly, this is a ClusterFuk... Angry Angry Angry

Regarding fees for tax purposes.

On my main exchange (Bitflyer) my fees are paid in BTC for BTC/JPY trades. How are these fees converted to JPY?

1) The total fees are summed and then converted to JPY at the end of the tax year using some reference exchange rate?
2) The fees are converted to JPY using the trade price and then summed?

Clearly option 2 is more accurate as BTC has risen significantly in value during 2017. I can manually do this using excel but perhaps you already do this? I ask because my trade fees on this exchange are very large (>1000$).

Lots of fans of CoinTracking here in Japan. Would love Bitflyer support!

The values (current value and value at transaction in Eur or BTC) of YOYO are not displayed (while amount is ok) when imported from Binance. How is it?
All other coins are fine in my reporting.

Can anyone help me with a CSV import for a zclassiz wallet?
I have the pro program but these transaction need to be done with a csv.
I export my mining transactions from my wallet into a spread sheet.  I then get all my headings correct for import and remove un-needed data.
I go to bulk imports, csv imports.
I can import my sheet no problem.

My question is this.  I was hoping to keep using the same sheet and just adding to it each time, but when I do this i am getting duplicate entries.  I was hoping that the program would filter these out as the have the same data, time and value.

Do I need to make a new sheet each time and make sure I am not overlapping dates?  This is much more work.

Thanks

BTC Wallet Importing (specifically getting updates after initially creating BTC Wallet import) do not seem to be working.  I have repeatedly manualy gone into the job and clicked "update" but the import date still shows "last import" several days ago.  Please advise.   I've deleted and recreated the job and sometimes this seems to work but then future updates don't seem to be processed.

I have the same problem but with a different coin.  I opened a support ticket over a week ago with no response.  The automatic import was the number 1 reason I bought this and now it is not working.  Wish there were other better (working) products like this out there.

I also have the same problem with a BTC wallet and an LTC wallet. Strangely enough, everything seems to work with an ETH wallet. However, the ETH wallet import is a bit off when there are transactions with smart contracts on EtherDelta (as the deposit seems to go through the blockchain but the withdrawal is considered as an "internal transaction"). In other words, Cointracking takes into account the transfer into EtherDelta from the ETH wallet but ignores the transfer from EtherDelta to the ETH wallet. Anyone facing the same issue? I manually ajusted the trade for the moment.

Hello, I don't know if it's the right place to ask, but can you add this token?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bottos/ (BTO)

Thank you.

Guys,

where can I delete all the trades from one exchange?

Under 'Enter Coins' choose the 'Bulk Edit/Delete Button'
If you have populated the Exchange field a list of transactions by Exchange will show up and you can select the transactions for that Exchange to delete.

You might want to backup your trades before doing this just in case.

Too bad there is not an advanced search here like in the Enter Coins page.
