My wallet is not syncing, I have a bunch of nodes manually added, I've deleted the app files to force a resync, I've checked my firewall. Thoughts?

Does your router support Upnp ?

Personally I believe the upnp function in this wallet doesn't work propperly (it's also greyed out in the options and not changeable. I went into my router and set portforwarding to port 41338 and pointed it to my computer networkadres. Before that syncen took a while and had only a vew connections. After the portforwarding, I have no 70+ connections.

I hadn't considered that, my wallet is synced now with all the extra nodes I added though.

Quote from iFacts:
I'm sorry, but I don't trust escrow, especially not from other forums. I've been scammed out of 2 BTC by a trusted escrow before. We can do it like this:

1. You send me 2.5 LTC
2. I send you ALL the COYE, so 1.5m
3. You send me the remaining 2.5 LTC.

This way we can keep the transaction between us two, and keep it smooth.

this is the way for scammers !!!

Fixed this by adding Dryleaf's list of nodes.

FYI: Don't delete wallet.dat... I lost some 30k COYE by being stupid.

It took forever for mine to actually get a single connection. Once it got that one it slowly built up to the 8 connections it has now.

This works fine for solo mining. Have found 3 blocks since yesterday so I know it is working correctly.

Edit* Not sure if you need all the nodes below but currently I have 8 open connections.

I had 90k coins yesterday around 12pm
Left my miner on all day and didn't check until now
Still only 90k wtf? http://p2pool-us.gotgeeks.com:9557/static/index.html
Using this p2pool to mine, pretty disappointing.

use dedicated pools. i had no issues.

Apart from yesterday's DDoS, nothing at all...actually I must say that dedicated has been good to me so far.

Thanks!  I'd like to invite anyone who was affected by this to come in to #dedicatedpool so we can figure this out.  You guys can probably figure out a pool you both used, that maybe went down (scam pool or something.)

Please, I want to get to the bottom of this for you.

so how would I start mining solo using a wallet? help appreciated

me too.
found this in a previous post, will try it out later, i presume the wallet has to be synced first... and that can take a while..

don't know if this will work, this one is from FTC

-windows:
--close feathercoin client if open
--locate feathercoin directory using >start>run>%appdata%
--create feathercoin configuration file in notepad as follows: (change the user/ password values to whatever you want them to be:)
rpcuser=yourname
rpcpassword=yourpass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9337
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

--save this file as: feathercoin.conf   (be sure to save it in the appdata feathercoin directory)
--relaunch feathercoin client and let it finish synchronizing with the network
--point mining client of your choosing to http://127.0.0.1:9337 with the user / password you assigned

mine away.
Note that this is FTC, but Coinye should be the same, just different names, will try this out later

For what it's worth, I was mining on coye.dedicatedpool.com all day and didn't have my address changed.

after ddos maybe they restored a backup database. But, why they didnt set the wallets in database to null just to be sure? I m using this address from the first day the coin was released, why it was changed all that sudden?

if anyone wants to help me recover please send some coins at: 5TKwTfcgsJCrDZfkwDzHTTmGxxGGmBfM88

thanks guys....

No databases were affected on DDoS and we didn't have to restore anything.  A DDoS is just a connection spammer, that is all.  System was not compromised as a whole - just a few users's accounts which points towards bad password policies and pin policies.

watch out for coye.dedicatedpool.com

my wallet address was changed to an address ending in vDsVPVex and i lost about 90k coins.

http://abe.altexplorer.net/a/5mkK7w3yyn

how someone could know my pin number, and how someone could crack a 14 character ultra difficult password?

i dont give a f**k about the coins, miners, watch out!

http://prntscr.com/2hrz30

http://prntscr.com/2hrz5v

edit: the coins are not redeemed yet, dummy address? wtf...

i m anonymous, so how they could find my username?

I'm looking in to these cases right now.  From my initial findings it seems that a hacker went through and attempted to hack multiple accounts on multiple pools.  The ones he couldn't hack the accounts got locked.  The ones he could hack people are complaining about changed addresses.

I've asked a few people who were hacked if they used the same address on multiple pools and each one admitted they did, along with the same pins too.

Some accounts were password hacked, but the got locked by too many pin attempts.  This also signifies that some people use the same password, but were smart enough to use different pins on each pool they visited.  So the attacker couldn't change the wallet address.

Can you please PM me and give me any relevant information?

In the meantime, since we are not sure how the attacker gained access but are pretty certain is it limited to your computer/passwords, please do the following:

1. Change all your passwords on different pools immediately.
2. Blow your computer away and reinstall windows/linux, what have you.  You may have malware with a keylogger.
3. ALWAYS use different pins and passwords for EACH pool, ESPECIALLY new pools you are not sure about.  Use "Password Safe" to store and manage your passwords and pins.. it's free

Thank you sir,
