nonetheless, I have mucked around with an image, this is what I came up with and you guys can work with this and fix it up:

The bounty will go to whoever can get this looking good, I want to change the head to that of a spartan warrior helmet (something along the lines of this: http://condition1industries.com/images/SpartanHelmetWMolanLabeWeb.jpg), clean up the edges, add a bitcoin logo on top of the hill above the parthenon temple kind of resembling a sun in the background. Add steps to the parthenon like this http://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/10255728/2/stock-illustration-10255728-greece-s-parthenon.jpg or this http://stickeramoi.com/1144-1225-thickbox/autocollant-parthenon-muraux.jpg
That should be straight forward for someone with good photoshop skills or whatever..

Looking for a specific kind of logo.. Im thinking of making a sign for my mining facility so if any of you designers out there are interested in a quick buck here goes:
I suppose those without much design capability have a shot at this too- it would be something quite simple.
Black silhouette design of a Spartan soldier, helmet, spear, shield the lot. What I was thinking was to place the bitcoin logo inside the centre of the shield or if you want to get creative can have him holding up the logo in his hand, ill leave that to you guys. Also quite possibly the words incorporated with the logo or seperate from it saying "SPARTAN MINER". I like the idea of ancient greek style font for this.
So I have done most of the thinking for you guys and now you can just create I suppose. Any ideas that stray slightly from my own will not be criticized and still have a chance at winning the bounty if I choose to go with your idea.
Winning logo has the option to receive funds in LTC (btc-e rate at time of payment) or BTC (bitstamp rate at time of payment).

Oh, true. I didn't bother reading it tbh. Saw a big wall of bold text and then skipped to the pictures. I don't do contests, where 10 people do the work and 9 of them work for free, but I sometimes go look at the results for fun.

Saw lot's of stolen logos already. Usually the best logos that you find in the crypto world are stolen, because you can't possibly get a good logo that includes an illustration if you do a contest.

I respect the artwork and appreciate the effort you put into your submission, and I mean no disrespect when I say its a little too busy for me. I was more after silhouette style logo, black and white, with the only colour being the orange in the bitcoin logo. That definitely has to stand out. The writing in the shield may or may not work, but I would want it to stick out a bit more and all caps too.. Good effort though thankyou
