Yesterday I met online the article which said that the team of Confido said they had no intentions to deceive people, simply something went wrong. They also said that they would return all money to their investors.

Omg. As previously I have missed out this boat. Luckily never been had a chance to invest in.
Some investors are still able to sell their stuffs on Etherdelta, Kucoin and some other exchanges but how long the coin will stay relevant knowing there won't be any development is what cannot really be known now. The social media channels have been deleted and even the websites are gone, apparently, there is no way to even contact the dev.

Who will end up being a bag holder of a shit coin once this news hit the air? So sad though, because everything about this coin shows life, I just had the feelings right from the start, that the team may not have what it takes to pull it off.

Indeed, Confido turned out to be a scam and they ran away with over $300,000 and stole everyone's investment practically, not to mention they did not pay anyone in their signature campaign. Shame on them!

Once, when (if ever?) crypto/blockchain technology gets mass adopted, stable, regulated and mature, this pioneer times will be remembered as a fucking wild west revisited. It offers so many blatantly rotten elements, ICO scams, pump & dump market violations, scandalous fake Vitalik-is-dead-again type of bullshit newsers, confused governments, bigmouthed investors, bigmouthed banks, dubious rebrands, ankwardly poor, unprepared conference/youtube performances, such a great stories to tell your grandchildren once, lol. Hero millionaire investors, awfully rich BTC early adopters, scam theft millionaire bad heroes, naive-or-lucky ICO gold-diggers, what a Tombstone of 21th century.

Yes, I have heard already about it. For me it was a real shock. I just understand the feelings of fellows that invested their own money into the project. Meanwhile we all know that investing into each ICO is still a very risky step.

i actually don't think it is a scam or they wouldn't have replied saying that they were in legal trouble they would have just cut and run without saying anything. The person behind cfd has a completely validated account on bittrex which means he has provided full i.d and been fully verified. All his eth is still sitting in there as we speak. So if it were a scam wouldn't he have cashed out already and been gone before making this announcement. People often jump too fast on the scam accusations. I have $600 i spent on cfd, and i will leave it there for a while to see what happens with this. If it is a scam than it is traceable through bittrex anyways.

Jeez dude, that's some mighty fine wishful thinking you got there. Be glad you only lost 600$, saw people with 90k down the drain (or so they claimed). Saw people being suicidal. It's no joke, a lot of people who normally do their due diligence got scammed. As did I, I bought it just the night before their "announcement". Lost around 0.7 eth, but I moved on. It was an incredibly cheap price to pay for a great lesson. Never will I be this stupid again.

So this just popped out on my wall as I checked online my things to do for today and this what I found.

What can you say about this? Have you kept your CFD token?
this is also what i saw when in my wall after opening it , and sadly very disappointing to know they turned into scam. Confido is good project , what will the team could say about this , . Too many ICO's been good at start and when it ends it turned out be a scam. Not so good.
How you call it is a good project? The developers might tried to scam that is the main reason for turning out into scam. There are so many ICO's at the moment without proper information or contact adresses etc.
People are investing into these projects for making profits, however these type of projects are all bullshit.

In the beginning we can't identify that such project is a scam, they are working with their very attractive and impressive whitepaper, road maps and other future plans. And to us, as investors we are very excited to invest with them and trusting them with our hard earned money since we are thinking that they are legit ones. Just a lesson learn to all of us that not all ICO's are worth to invest, some may real, others are just portraying to be real.

I'm pretty disappointed because it has become a scam. I joined in their campaign and was never paid for it. This would make more people become skeptic in ICOs. I saw some people that have high hopes for this project and they are doing pretty good at first but then maybe when they reach their desired amount, they just decided to run. Those legit ICOs are affected by it because instead of the people being positive about their plans, upon reading the news about Confido, some would back out. Maybe regulation is really needed for ICOs in order for the investors to be protected against the scammers.

It is very unexpected because my friend asked whether to invest in confido but I suggest we will wait because with in the days we cannot predict the value. It seems to be a pump and dump coin in the market.

Some people already sold their coin especially those are participating in the crowdsale. The dev run away with the money. and erase all of the information related to the project just like the official page.
Confido confirmed as the latest scam project.

For those that are late for not selling their tokens are totally late in the party. It's now exposed that they are real scammers a total ran of $374,000 that's a big money and what's possible to happen is they may return again but will just change the name of their project and can still hide in other name as devs. This is devastating for the whole crypto market but still I hope that these people will be busted soon.

I really hope they catch the people that did this, ruining it for everyone in crypto space.

Yes we are all affected with these scammers, they may not be busted today but one day they will.

Expect to see a long list of scams like this in the coming months. This forum is swimming in BS token sales with no vision beyond getting listed on exchanges, or claims that they'll provide crypto linked credit cards - be VERY weary of the latter especially. If TenX is struggling to get distribution partners onboard, a "company" that raises $500k has no chance. If you're going to invest your hard earned money, be sure to use some critical thinking before jumping in.

This is will make gov't to look more upon crypto's. And also if those people that are interested about crypto's tries to research about crypto related scam, they will doubt it if they'll find out that ICOs are also used for scamming people. Instead of it will push them to put better money to crypto, they will back out and will bear to their mind that crypto's can scam them.

Just goes to show even the most promising looking ICOs can just be con artists. When you think about the money involved, who wouldn't put on an elaborate show and make sure every kink in the story is ironed out if it's for a few million dollars each?

Just another reason why ICOs should be heavily regulated by the government as there is literally no protection given to the investors in investing in these ICOs. It's so easy to just create some sort of ICO and ask people to invest without even having any sort of guarantee that their project is legit. Now the investors of this ICO has no way to go after the people that ran away with their money. They can always go to court for it, but that would take a lot of money to do as well as you need to go to their country where the scammers are.
