I did a transfer of bitcoin between my wallet and an exchange wallet to cash out some and the hash was presented immediately but 3 hours later not even a single confirmation on the blockchain. Is it only me or the all system is erratic and crazy after the fork?
Are you also experiencing something like that? how long it took your confirmations?
You are not the only one who do experience this stuff im sure most of bitcoin users do really experience the same thing on where a certain transaction do broadcasted so long in the network it would really took hours even i did put higher amount on the suggested recent fees. I didnt expect my transaction would really have some delays which isnt really surprising though because it do happen sometimes either if theres a network congestion.

A lot of people do have such similar issues and the reason is that they don't want to pay high amount of fees no matter how low or high amount of bitcoin they are doing transaction of. So if you pay a higher fee,you will get confirmations less than 1 hour,if you pay less ,then I don't know how many days it will take.

Not only you but only me, after the hard fork of bitcoin gold I noticed that every transactions are now taking so long. And base on https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions the number of unconfirmed transactions are now quadrupled. The last time I saw it, that was only 11k unconfirmed transactions and now it was 46k and keeps on increasing that can possibly reach up to 50k. I hate when that day comes again and we'll see 100k unconfirmed transactions.

Bitcoin Gold has not even activated yet , all they did was take a snapshot of the blockchain.
It has nothing to do with anything.

This is all because segshitcoin 1X is inferior and never increased their blocksize or blockspeed.

Problem is 47494 Unconfirmed Transactions on segshitcoin 1x
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Unless you want to spend $20 for a transaction fee on segshitcoin,

use Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin instead as long as the segshitcoin's unconfirmed transactions are over 7000 Unconfirmed Transactions.
Holy crap, that's really bad, bitcoin gold failed the hopes of people is what is left to say? Wow,that's is something that a lot of people expected bitcoin gold. Thats what you can expect when some random unknown developers claim to do,make block sizes smaller. Sure, why not. A lot of those promises have been proven ,haven't they? Roll Eyes

Mostly have experienced this kind of slow transaction speed after the 25th. It might be to some of because as my friend who uses this process doesn’t have much of the problem. I may not technically shave Bitcoin users but I’m certain that the head fork might make affected it. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m open for it.

You're wrong.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I have also observed things like this. Last time I have sent bitcoin to my friend, and it took a long time after it has been confirmed. And another one is that to pay for something, yet the receiver didn't received any bitcoin.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Observe segwit has done nothing to help it transaction performance.
SegWit has done precisely what it was designed to do.  It has introduced an optional new transaction type in which the transaction's witness data is segregated from the rest of the transaction.

When sending this new transaction type, people have lower fees, so they're incentivised to use it.  However, not many people are using it, so it's ultimately users' fault for not following their incentive and services for not implementing to the new transaction properly.

If more people would use it, there would be lower fees and an effective block size of 1.6-2MB.  Even now though, you can get away with fees of 20 satoshi/byte or so, provided that you can wait a while.
it has none of the transaction backlog of segshit
Maybe because it has about 30 times less transactions being sent on it.  The block size does affect the capacity but it's not like BCH is using that capacity.

transactions taking too long to confirm can have a lot of different reasons. the most obvious one that someone else also mentioned is the number of unconfirmed transactions which has grown a lot lately. and that is most probably your issue too.

but there also can be some issue with your transction. for example your transaction may be spending unconfirmed transaction(s) and until they are confirmed your tx will remain unconfirmed and they may take a lot of time to confirm too.

So either pay an insanely high transaction fee on segshit coin or in the future use Bitcoin Cash (The Real Bitcoin) with it 8MB , it has none of the transaction backlog of segshit and it fees are very low instead of very high.

a lot of altcoins that are never used and have 99% empty blocks have low fees because there is no competition for that space.
it doesn't matter if these altcoins have 100 bytes max block or 100 giga bytes blocks, they will remain empty.

You're absolutely right, Bitcoin Crash doesn't have a transaction backlog, and its transaction fees are incredibly low compared to the legacy Bitcoin. You know why? Because NO ONE is using Bitcoin Crash! And rightfully so.

People don't want to get involved into something that has no future, doesn't bring anything to the table compared to other altcoins, no community support, no investor support, and the list goes on.

The only reason people were excited about Bitcoin Crash is that they could convert their split coins into Bitcoin. Now everyone has pretty much unloaded their coins, people don't bother even to look at Bitcoin Crash anymore.

No, I haven't been experiencing what you see because I always pays with a decent amount of fees. I'm using Electrum so its very easy to adjust if you want to transaction to be pick up in the next 10 or 5 blocks by the miners. I suspect that you have been paying with low fees that's why you are seeing a slow confirmation on your transactions. If I'm not mistaken you need at least 3 confirmations before you can see the actual bitcoin shows up in your wallet.

I also had a problem with my transactions that i sent yesterday and it takes 3 to 4 hours to wait before it completely confirmed. Have you tried to accelerate it in https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ or ask for help with your transaction in this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/free-fast-btc-transaction-accelerator-for-unconfirmed-transactions-2114273 he is accelerating some btc transaction for free.

If you don't mind, you should publish atleast your transaction id so that people can observe the condition of your transaction whether it's under recommended fee or else.
By the way, you can simply use transaction accelerator though, in the service sections, many people offering this kind of service, either for free or paid. It's depend on you to choose which one.

The transaction cost is low so the processing speed of the block is low. I used to use free and have encountered this. I had to wait  then more than a week for the processing to complete.

Which fee did you pay? Did you try using tx accelerator from viabtc?

I have found more variance over the last few months with confirmation times like everyone else.  Make sure you check the fee you are sending, some of the wallets estimates can be wrong.  So upgrade to the latest wallet. You can also consider custom fee to make sure you pay a high fee.

This is the average confirmation time  https://blockchain.info/charts/avg-confirmation-time . Yesterday it was 20-30 minutes. If you have not received the money that you sent to another wallet then after 3-6 hours, then you have to do something. I had once this issue with Hashnest and I contacted them (I sent them some money and the money has not arrived in my Hashnest wallet). They resolved this very fast.

I had also been noticing things like these. There was even one time when I tried to deposit my bitcoin to yobit and it took almost a day to be confirmed. It really had me worried. I thought this was an isolated cases before I read this post.
