1060 cards are 90 watts or 100 watts  so six card rig should be under 6 x 100 = 600 + 50 for other parts or 650

650 of 1000 is a safe load.

bigger cards pull more  so all 1070's may need the 1200 .

and all 1080 ti's may not do it on a 1200 watt

your other setup should do under 500 watts

Read carefully. This isn't an EVGA PSU, the 1000w is not on the 12V rail. The 12V rail is rated specifically at 50A which is 600w which is cutting it close (but is still perfectly fine if you arent planning on adding more)

I prefer to use cheapy PSUs w/ HP Server PSUs like this one:
http://www.parallelminer.com/product/hp-1200-watt-power-supply-kit-for-gpu-mining-platinum-94-zec-dash-eth/

For your setup, I'd run the 1060's on this:
http://www.parallelminer.com/product/hp-750-watt-power-supply-kit-for-gpu-mining-platinum-94-zec-dash-eth/
And then just throw in some dinky $20 200w PSU for the mobo/cpu

So I built a 6 x GTX 1060 rig with a 990FX motherboard and 8320e (mostly just cause I had the mobo and cpu lying around), it's got a corsair 1200w platinum psu as most people say you need that for a 6 x gpu rig but noticed its only pulling 650w out the wall and corsair link is saying about 50A on the 12v - so a 1kw psu should also cope with this right?

I'm also building another smaller rig with a 990FX again, FX 4300, 1070 and 2 x 1050ti 4GB so an Antec 650w Gold should be ok right?
