I made a thread where I expose and explain different details of my artwork 10 Years of Constructing the Future.

It's located in Collectibles, where I usually post most of my pieces:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/10-years-of-constructing-the-future-presented-in-detail-by-1dq-5205089

Feel free to comment and suggest ideas as there is still room for improvement and because it's digital I could eventually make alterations for custom prints! We might figure something out together.

Cheers!

I'm also expressing my gratitude to the one and only head admin of this forum, theymos!  Cheesy

Thank you for the fun that you gave us in time of this forum's 10th birthday celebration! There was fun. There was BTC. There were artistic skills awakened. There were personal discoveries made; some members must have thought they weren't born artists when in fact they really are potential artists, and thanks to this contest they've fulfilled that potential. There were dying embers of childlike creativity and curiosity stoked into fire. There were shredded pieces of bread, coins, leaves, tools, rice, toothpicks, bubbles, pizza, and many more seemingly ordinary stuff put together to create the most unconventional birthday greeting. And finally, there was pain in the ass checking all of them art submissions. The last one's on you alone, though.  Grin

Again, thanks! You're the best!  Wink

Congratulations to all winners, you deserved it. I imagine how much effort you had to put into these artworks. And seems it wasn't easy task for theymos to pick winners with so many amazing submissions
It's huge work to check every submission. Thank you theymos for makingthis anniversary contest and I appreciate huge work that you've done. If I would have to do it, probably I would give up in the middle of proccess Cheesy

Congratulations to all the winners, there were some very nice creations.

Contrary to what I read here and there, I find the final list rather representative of what I imagined ( And the gains in consequences are correct ) Cheesy

I was really thrilled to see so much good art, but remind me never to do this again... It took me probably 20+ hours to sort through everything.

I'd like to give a bit of an honorable mention to these two pieces:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53114791
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52811173
Because they had no clear relation to the forum, they didn't make the top 100, but they're both very high-quality pieces. I especially like the concept & execution of the first one.
Thank you @theymos for that work! I was really happy participate in that contest Smiley Some arts awesome! And thanks to all participants too  Smiley

Well, it's my pleasure and honored to know that I belong to those who received the prize from @theymos and I just wanna say "Thank you".

As I have said here, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53131601. Now, I can repair our floor that made on bamboo and replace a new one. Indeed, @theymos is a great admin and thank you for your valuable time spent on us. I will never forget this event.

Thanks for holding that contest @theymos. I can only imagine what pain in the a$$ it must have been to go all through the submissions (multiple times) and having to judge the often times very different styles and trying to keep a more or less objective view, having the effort put in and probably also the uniqueness in mind.

People have created super cool and creative pieces of art around the 10th anniversary of bitcointalk. There was also a lot of very low-effort art presented me thinks, which is kind of fine as not everybody was kissed by the muse. But otoh, if someone posts something perfectly drawn or a real good photoshopped digital art, it's kind of pointless to post a very low-effort drawing or photoshop afterwards (and doing this multiple times even more so). Leads to inflationary submissions and lots of more work to be done for the people in charge.

The merit distribution got a bit out of hand imo. I have gotten a lot of merit as well, so who am I to "complain", but putting it into relation on how hard it is to get merit with just posting and probably putting way more time in for that than creating those art submission, it feels kind of not right (and thus people were going crazy with gazillions of submissions). Once the merit flooding started, there was probably no way back though, so you just had to go through with it. But I guess on your birthday you can go a bit over the top Wink

Is the BTC prize distribution over ? I see in here i get 2. But i received only 1 time.
Is someone get double reward like me only received 1 time ?
That "[1][2]" is only the link on your arts and not that you've received two times the BTC award. It is over and the only thing that still a remnant of the art contest is the "10th anniversary art contest badge voting", you may vote in there if you haven't and congrats for making it there as well.

I think it would be more symbolic to add 10 icons to the tenth anniversary of the forum.  Undecided
I agree, for reasons that are totally unrelated to the fact that I am currently in 10th place in the voting. Sad

Those two are indeed very nice, and kind you took them apart and said a word about those 2

I hope you will make another contest in 10 years, so I can acquire some skill sets and amaze the forum with an art piece to make Cheesy
Ofcourse BTC will be adopted much much more as it is today, user count will be ??X of what it is now and so the forum will be ??X bigger as it is today, I have the most positive/faith believe you will stay motivated to keep this place healthy and keep doing what you do, YEAH the art contest will be a b*tch in 10 years and 20hours will become 100hours or something at that time Roll Eyes
Though always remember you are surrounded by good people, good members of this place and you can always reach out to help out where its needed....

@theymos, you really deserve a big "thank you" from all of the participants. It's amazing the way you handled the whole event and the way you looked at every entry of the competition. I initially thought that there's "no way" that you're going to have a look at each entry (and would rather just extract the winners out of the most-merited arts), but man, you proved me wrong. It's crystal-clear that you really spent a huge number of hours just to figure out the good/best entries.

Thanks again, mate! Glad to have you as the core part of the BTT forum.

Exactly @Raja, theymos have impressed me as well and a thank you towards him is very polite and in it's place!
He have proven me wrong as well and recently showed me as well he's a man busy with this forum as head-moderator and he knows what he's doing, I will say he's the right man at the right place and the place can only be lucky...

Proves as well superior product that needs to be runned by superior executor.... ----> leads to 10 years of successful place/forum and on its way to the next years of existing!

I'm in the same situation as you, but no, there are not supposed to be sent 2 prizes. The [1] and [2] represent the fact that theymos sent you 1 prize for two of your submissions.

In case you had just two, the prize is for both. In case you had more than 2, only for the two ones mentioned you received the respective prize.
Okay thanks, so that mean [1][2] is how much the art approved. Not how much reward for art  Grin

I just saw the list of winners and I'm thankful that I'm one of the winners and also have an opportunity to win the badge. This contest really showcase some of the talents here of most members of forum, painting, hand sketches, incredible wood carving, image processing and many more.

I know theymos will never do this kind of activity again but still we appreciate you did this @theymos. Salute to all artist who participated and congratulations to all winner. Happy anniversary to our beloved forum.
