If they did 500 or 5000, isn't that sizeable for the bitcoin space? What are they supposed to do, 1,000,000 units? Your point has yet to be made other than the fact that they may be placing a small order to begin with. Perhaps there is a point to them stating it's a longterm partnership...

...what I'm saying is this can't be used as a blanket "oh they're legit/not a scam now". You still have to use the same due diligence as before.

finally we know that cointerra is not a scam

actually it is years ahead of the "bloody" family sitting in the cave with nda

This is the exact reason I pointed out that CoolIT aren't big players. Any scam could still roll up to them with a 5 figure contract and get the same response. 5 figure sacrifice in the greater scheme of a scam -> not much
CoolIT makes all of corsairs Hydro series coolers.... couple of mil $ right there alone. Plus I think they do Asus's AiO's, and their own name-brand.
And what does that have to do with anything you quoted?
Partnering with them is no small contract.

Oh. I believe it is though. Think as an example, how many units do you think cointerra would have signed up for in the first batch, 500? 5000 * $50 = $25k. Small small fry compared to potential preorder money.

I'd love to see the numbers behind going with a watercooling solution vs. air cooling.  I've yet to see a setup gain enough performance from the difference to make up for the cost (both initial hardware/setup and ongoing).

CoolIT are still pretty lowend/small fry though.
Decent water cooling is not rocket science.

Interesting it seems the chip will need the best cooling option possible.

The chip will consume less than 300w, for a performance of 504 Gh/s. The fact that we have packed so much performance into a single chip dictates we find a great cooling solution as well. About 20% of our chips can run as high as 720 Gh/s at higher clock frequencies. We want to provide a cooling solution which can allow customers to take advantage of these super high hash rates.
How can you guys possibly know how your chips will bin out before you've made any chips?  This makes no sense.

People who can't read and post OT stuff are OP.
So your saying the manufacturer that makes all of corsair's hydro coolers has little to no market share?

Is this your masters of engineering opinion, or just another thought pulled out of your ass?
They're a small company with very, very little market share. Now stfu.

oh the "I know everything engineer" shared his Priceless opinion....again, how is your million pound Project going ?

Nice!  I met (at the time) the whole CoolIT staff at CES 2009 in Las Vegas.  They were all very energetic and passionate about coming up with unique and functional cooling.  Obviously their Boreas and related TEC stuff didn't sell well but they were basically the founders of the AIO units that have become so popular today.
