We both expected Uruguay to win but they were a failure. Not even being able to score a goal against a team which played with 10 players for a whole half? They had one of the best tournaments they had in a long time, and with Brazil being bad, they could have won this game and be great and maybe even beat Argentina in the finals, would have been hard but not impossible. It is a great victory for Colombia, I thought the match would end in a draw and that the score would be in Uruguay's favor because I see that they are very good scorers, however the winner is Colombia and I think it is excellent, the final is not an iconic final, Colombia is very excited, its people, everyone is still celebrating, the final is very good, it could be that either of the two teams wins although I am more inclined to favor Argentina because of the warmth that this team shows in a final, however since 2001 with the captaincy of Pibe Valderrama they have won a Copa América, it could be that the selection can give that joy to the coffee-growing country.

Regarding the hooliganism that took place in the stadium, I find it incredible, these things happen in a first world country, the lack of maturity is unbelievable , that the fans act worse than wild animals.

Of all the matches Uruguay has played on this season this was actually the match I never expect them to lose because in as much as Uruguay may not be the best team on this league but we can attest that there performance this season was too impressive, however we can start from there group stage when they played three matches and came out victorious with 9 points and they still move on and meeting Brazil at the Quarter finals and with there performance they still managed to hold Brazil with draw even with the red card they had but still Brazil could not win them.

So after how they played with Brazil on that match with short one I came to the conclusion that they have all the performance of qualifying for the finals but to my greatest surprise, of all the matches they have played with so much effort  they could not even put the same efforts on there performance in other to win the match, and funny enough Colombia was even playing with short one but they still could not win.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting Columbia to win their Copa America semi final against a known football nation like Uruguay who eliminated Brazil from the competition. After Uruguay defeated Brazil in the quarter finals, I was expecting them to reach the final ahead of Columbia because to me, I feel their team have more quality but the Columbia player had another thought which was to take their nation to the final of a major tournament for the first time in 23 years.
The aftermath of that Columbia win earlier today was a fight which broke out between fans of both nations. During the fight, Uruguay player Darwin Nunez was seen running to the crowd to protect his family from being harmed by Columbian supporters. The football body in charge of South American football I believe will investigate the matter and sanction the offenders

Both the Copa America and Euro finals will be tough and interesting matches to watch, no one will be probably better than the other because both teams gave an astonishing performance to reach their league finals.

In few days, we will be getting to see whether Argentina will stop the unbeaten strike of Columbia because they last lost a match two years ago against the same Argentina they are meeting in the Copa America finals. Since then, no loss match has Columbia encountered. It's either a win match or a draw match for them. However, it's gonna be a tough match even though their head-to-head, Argentina have 4 wins, to 1 win for Columbia.

In this event we are having their best performance with high quality which is showing how strong they are and if we have no off the field troubles for them most chances we will have them in strong winning position in coming world cup with just teams from the European region can give them challenge specially Spain or England but still things are favourable for them to stay at the top of the FIFA rankings for long time.

By mere calling of the names that are going to be playing in the final match of the Copa America, one will definitely pick Argentina as the best choice to win the match. Perhaps, why not consider the other team also to have made it this far and eliminated all the big teams they have to face before reaching the finals. The Colombians have done extremely well since the beginning of the competition and have not lost any game also. I won’t give it all to Argentina for a win over Colombia without having to face any difficulty. The match is going to be a tough one and a very important one to follow through because I expect a lot of excitement and intriguing moments in this finals.


Colombians can’t just be banned from next tournaments because their fans fought with their opponents player, that will be uncalled for and not just if such verdict is being given as regards to this situation. The tempo was high since Uruguay lost the match and not one can really tell what transpired between them that led to that fight. Whatever the case may be, diligent investigation should be done and only the party doing guilty should be punished and not allow other face the penalty or nonchalant behavior of others.

Colombia has tired but they can not be the team to stop Argentina from winning the Copa America. Argentina prepared for the tournament very well and no team could stop them. They have showed their country that they can be called heros. They just won the world cup and adding to that could be the Copa American. Messi is really gifted, he mightn't have contributed too many chances to the tournament but he has helped the team before and now they're returning the flavor by playing for him to won more international trophies. Argentina has a very good score against Colombia and with that they can be confident when they play them but the coach needs to be cautious and instruct the players to not underate anybody as they are not very good at playing international finals due to the amount of losses they already have.

I think, there is always a trigger that will make them have a fight like that because after all, if they only get a losing result I don't think they will have a fight like that either. Because if the issue is because Nunez received threats from Colombian fans, then I think it's natural that Nunez ended up being emotional and unbearable, resulting in a fistfight like that. However, if for example the threat does not really exist or does not actually occur, then Nunez will receive punishment.

But of course, if the threat was really made by Colombian national team fans, then of course Nunez would not receive any punishment because the fault lies with the Colombian fans who intimidated Nunez. But yes, I personally am quite sure that there was a trigger that made Nunez do that, but I am sure that Nunez's actions were appropriate because he did not accept the attitude or behavior regarding threats made by Colombian national team fans like that.
