I think bitcoin can't prevent crime cause Satoshi Nakamoto create it for the anonymity of all of its user,

So even if there are many bitcoin user that use's it for bad things we can't even know who they really are.

It is not thing for to start bad things if a person will say that bitcoin will be used for crimes then he will be at wrong because every user of bitcoin is teaching to others in the way that other only know that it is another type of currency. None of the user promote it with bad words. In my country most of the criminals are uneducated so for them it is impossible to adopt bitcoin but only nice and well educated people are adopting it for their benefits and for the benefits of their country.
yes you were right mate. just because you were told that one of bitcoin's advantage is the anonimity, that doesnt mean you were about to use it directly for bad or illegal stuffs. people must be educatedby the concept of bitcoin so that people will adopt it and use it for their benefit and not use it for doing crimes.

Bitcoin would potentially prevent some kinds of crime, such as simple robberies, but digital crimes such as hacking, phishing and other forms of fraud would become more prevalent. If Bitcoin became the most used currency, robberies would likely turn into kidnappings and they would force people to send money from their wallets under threat of torture or potentially death.

It likely won't do anything to prevent crime.

It might increase crime.
Since it has just emerged it might be easy
For hackers to hack blockchain.
As many banks and huge industries have been hacked.
But if bitcoin will become an official international currency,
It will be hard to hack.
But there is always a possibility that it will be hacked.

You have mixed some concepts here, bitcoin can't be an official international currency in these years, nor in this decade.

But if that ever happens it doesn't mean that bitcoin will be protected and will be hard to be hacked, if it can be hacked now it can also in the future, not just bitcoin but also other coins can be used for any reason so it can't stop/prevent the crime.

I don't think that it can prevent crime since bitcoin is widely used and no one ever can know who is the person using it, so it can easily use for illegal transactions. Being anonymous here in bitcoin industry has advantage since it is not easy to hack and you have your privacy as well as has disadvantage when use in illegal.

Could bitcoin prevent crime?

I believe Bitcoin transactions via online wallets could prevent crime. People are going to use Bitcoin for legal and illegal transactions, however criminal transactions are susceptible to crime as cash is used for the transaction...which encourages theft. If bitcoin were used for these shady transactions, perhaps with escrow, there would be no opportunity to steal currency - couldn't this prevent crime? (Aside from the original criminal transaction of course!)
very difficult to conduct transactions always with escrow. I think bitcoin system even easier to make money laundring.
Our task now is to keep guarding that use bitcoin targeted and well directed. so the use bitcoin could be positive.

There is no relationship between the bitcoin and escrow.
At least it depends on the people's minds. The government will see it about the easiest way for the criminal to running his business or the terrorist try to sending the funds.
The bold is clear statement.

No. Bitcoin is not meant for that. Bitcoin cant prevent crimes. Infact, its the opposite of it. Bitcoin can be a way for violating the law. Like money laundering. Bitcoin can be use for money laundering because the transaction is anonimous. We cant trace where the funds originates. Theres also a trending malware right now which bitcoin is involved in. The ransom ware. They will hack the important files of companies or individuals and they will ask for ransom. The ranson must be bitcoin.
You are right bitcoin is a tool which can play a major role in preventing crimes. Suppose if a person involve in bitcoin and he find it that how much higher is the profit in bitcoin then he will not care for crimes as getting money but he will then start earning money from online.
Unemployment is also reduced with bitcoin because even students can earn money from their home.

When you transact a bitcoin to one another, he can only see the bitcoin address of the sender. They don't know whos person sending him. Because of that it can use for illegal transactions, it can use by criminal accept a money from their boss privately. Even in the wallet, when you sign up, you can type any name you want to hide your informations. So for me it can't prevent a crime for transactioning but in cash out it can.

In "Blacklist" a TV series that bald dude with connections to criminal organizations uses bitcoin and when he wanted to bribe someone that person refused to work for him because transaction wasn't confirmed.
Do you think nuclear bombs are going to cuddle people when exploded or destroy them? being destructive didn't stop countries to build them.
You should ask if criminals could prevent mass adoption of bitcoin or not?

The main thought of bitcoin is to go digitally but few people are not using it wisely, using it for illegal activities that's why government are not accepting bitcoin. But bitcoin is becoming most popular asset in all parts of the world, even people from different countries are eagerly showing their interest toward bitcoin, government should come forward and make some legal rules on this activities.

I guess it could be hard in fact many places are being used bitcoin for legal and illegally. However, looking others point I pretty believe that Bitcoin transactions could prevent crime as it is internet based currency which called virtual currency.Overall if people stop carrying physical cash and start using wallet for transactions there possibility could prevent crime.
yes it is true in some cases, but over all i think bitcoin just like other currency and people use it according to their well. i think it is the duty of law and forces agencies to prevent  crimes. the states have different resources, which they can use for stopping crimes in the society and can ensure the security of the people.

no bitcoin could not prevent crime it does not have any relation with crime but in some cases it can be effective becoz like this our money will be save even no one can steal our money from us.

How you can tell bitcoin doesnt have any relationship with crime ?You forgot one thing. Its anonymous . So if it reaches in wrong hands , imagine what can happen. They can use it for funding illegal activities. Thats nothing but crimes. The government or any agency cant track the payment details done through bitcoins , to whom the bitcoins were transferred, to which part of the world its transfered. So its easy for anyone to do any crime. So bitcoin has a direct relationship with crime. But if we use internet banking , like credit cards it will help decrease the crimes.

I think you guys are missing OP's point here when you tell how Bitcoin is used for illegal activities. OP tried to start discussion about Bitcoin's impact on monetary crimes like counterfeiting, bank robberies, some types of scams like Paypal's charge back, etc. So, in my opinion Bitcoin can be really secure and help prevent some crimes as long as the user makes takes care about security, because there are some vulnerabilities like viruses that steal people's private keys or exchanges and other web wallets getting hacked.

Actually there are a lot of ways that those people who are involved in any shady transactions. It's just the same with fiat money although bitcoin has anonymity. Maybe the right word for it is that, bitcoin can hide crime. And even with escrow we can't prevent crime if those people who are using those escrows with their shady acts without the good escrows notice.
The point is bitcoin consider as currency so what ever currency can be done inside the web can also be process with bitcoin i cant see any difference when bad guys deal with fiat and deal as well with btc nothing will change the only thing is there are a lots of things that can be done to hide illegal activity and hide for a while. But if government is really serious to chase criminals no matter how they deal with it theres still a way to caught them and let them pay with their illegal activities.

Bitcoin evolved with the purpose of supporting and making the ease of transaction for illegal purposes. Now when gained more popularity, it is trying to overcome its negative part with the advantageous solutions of earning access, investment option and other related sources. Crime happens everywhere, so bitcoin is something which can make things in a much secure manner. This could eventually change, because people who have been using it for illegal needs have started to use it for good deeds.
