I highly doubt there will be any reveal because why would satoshi reveal himself now and how would it benefit the project in the slightest?
The only thing I see would come of it will be in the form of crashing the price which has been building up nicely for the past week starting at the begin of the month. From the sheer disappointment when nothing will be shown in evidence of whoever they say is the creator of the blockchain. Undecided

This is a data collection exercise, because 1000s of gullible people will signup with their email accounts and those email accounts will be sold to marketing agencies that are focused on people that are linked to Crypto currencies. You can create a new webmail account specifically for this exercise and it will show you afterwards what this was used for.  Roll Eyes

DO NOT use your primary email account for the signup, if you are curious about this, you will get a lot of spam in your inbox soon after this so-called "reveal" was done.  Wink
That could be true maybe they are just using this to get some personal information since people are really curious about Satoshi's real identity.
This would really give them a lot of email address to spam on later when this site ends the big drama that it is causing right now.

I believe that there is no revealing that will really going to happen because these guys are just using the name Satoshi in order to attract more people to invest in Bitcoin specially that Mr. John McAfee reputation is at stake too in which he predicted that Bitcoin will reach $1M in year 2020. Good luck to these guys of this market strategy.

I am selling only freedom over here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/using-bitcoins-formula-and-blockchain-what-currency-do-you-create-5139147

I think this site is a phishing email site, so they can check if your passwords been leaked on a pastebin and get your money off the exchange or social engineering other people in your email list to giving up their codes, don`t use a real email if you sign up. Oh you don`t even need to sign in and they got your email depending on what browser you are using and Well I don`t think Satoshi would talk in meme gifs on the twitter https://twitter.com/gotsatoshi?lang=en  but hey you never know perhaps he can be part troll like myself, it could be the real deal(but I highly doubt it). Will see in 7 days.

After reading the first sentence today in the white paper, I think it is starting to become clear they got taken out of the game around 2011.

"It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context.  WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us."

Well I am here punching it in the face. If I ever stop posting on this forum, I can assure you they killed me to. I try to upload a random video to my youtube each week so you can know I am still alive.

I've read about this a few days back. It might be a promotion or something, it's seems that it is trying to get people's attention by making a count down and saying about Satoshi revealing his/her identity. It could be a good marketing strategy, since most people are dying to find out who Satoshi is.

If this really is a marketing strategy, then what the hell are they trying to sell? Grin
It doesn't make sense...
I believe that all this shit is fake and someone is just making a joke with all the curious crypto fanatics, who are wondering day and night who is Satoshi and what he is going right now. Grin

Stop giving that site so much publicity. We don't even know who owns it in the first place. And to add to that, though it may be cool to know, it literally doesn't matter who Satoshi is. Satoshi may be Kim Jong-un and it still wouldn't really matter in the long term because of bitcoin being open-source.

I still don't get it why people seriously take whatever McAfee has to say? It doesn't make any sense anyway.

Will the price can really be surging if the identity will be out? I don't think it either help and better stop bothering Nakamoto. Bitcoin community is way better at its current phase.

Bitcoin has its fair share of mysteries; exactly how it works being one that most users will never understand.
people don't understand how 90% of the world works starting from the coffee maker they use in the morning to the bed springs they sleep on at night. that  doesn't make any of them "mysterious".

GotSatoshi website and Twitter feed is promising a live reveal at 15:50 GMT on May 14th. So not long to wait and find out then.
if they had any clues whatsoever they would have revealed it right away instead of advertising it for a couple of weeks and increase the drama. that is just one more nonsense to the millions of cases that existed in the past 10 years.

Bitcoin has its fair share of mysteries; exactly how it works being one that most users will never understand. But by far the longest standing and most intriguing is the identity of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Well the GotSatoshi website and Twitter feed is promising a live reveal at 15:50 GMT on May 14th. So not long to wait and find out then.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SATOSHI?

Okay, so the website just poses the question “Where in the world is Satoshi?” with a countdown and a mailing list signup. But the Twitter account purports to actually be written by Satoshi himself… or herself.

The accompanying blurb describes an “Inventor, developer, futurist. Cryptoenthusiast and blockchain evangelist.” as you might expect. It goes on to say “Not Craig Wright.” as you would also expect. GotSatoshi hints that he/she “May know @officialmcafee,” which ties with McAfee’s claim to know Satoshi, and challenges us to “Unmask me if you can.”

If we can? I thought Satoshi we going to do the unmasking.

WHAT WOULD SATOSHI TWEET?

It appears that GotSatoshi doesn’t have an awful lot to say for him/herself. The first proper tweet proclaims the #ageofthegeek, referencing the Avengers movie, Game of Thrones, and the BTC market cap. A few days later GotSatoshi comes across all ‘inspirational quote’, regarding his belief in the ‘strong vision’ that was Bitcoin.

There’s a tweet pointing out that the bitcoin cash miner embedding ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ into blocks was a fake. ‘Why mine BCH, when you have over 900K BTC?’ GotSatoshi reasons, adding that debasing currencies is something he/she leaves to the big banks.

Oh, and GotSatoshi has apparently read some Harry Potter; a reference to a shared address (HutOnTheRock, The Sea), that appears when signing up to the mailing list.

And that’s it… in nearly two weeks. It had been there a week and a half before anyone really noticed it.

GOT SATOSHI?

There are some that suggest this is all just PR for Consensus 2019. While the countdown timer will admittedly finish right in the middle of the second day (and ten minutes to midday New York time seems somehow more ‘momentous’ than 15:50 GMT), one might expect a little more content from a planned PR campaign. It could possibly be an ill thought through PR campaign?

Could it be McAfee (or someone else who ‘knows’ Satoshi’s true identity)? McAfee did claim last month that he was going to release clues to Satoshi’s identity until he revealed himself (or somebody did it for him). He clearly doesn’t share my qualms about misgendering Satoshi, so maybe he does know the true identity?

McAfee withdrew his ‘revealing’ offer, supposedly on the advice of his legal team, but this could be his way of disclosing the truth, without personally saying anything.

Could it be Satoshi? And if it is, will we find out the truth next Tuesday, or just get sold another dummy, to protect his/her true identity?

The meta tags on the website start “Inventor, programmer, genius, maverick,” which doesn’t seem like the kind of thing you’d say about yourself. Although Satoshi has been gone so long and witnessed so much in the meantime that it would be foolish trying to second-guess pretty much anything.

So at this stage, all bets are off. It could even be Craig Wright trolling us (and himself) again. Watch this space…

Will we finally find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is? Share your thoughts below!
