I can't believe that the media's not arrested for harassing and somewhat intimidating Satoshi.

Let the media do whatever they want. Satoshi is gone. They won't find him unless he is letting the outside world know who he is. Satoshi is a mystery, that's what makes him interesting to write about. Let the news sites publish as much worthless articles about finding Satoshi as they want. I use these articles to have a good laugh. Especially the latest Craig Wright bullshit, how can this NOT make people laugh.

Dorain Nakamoto went through the same thing, and the media made a circus out of that and nearly ruined his life. Every news site or news paper wants to be the first to break this

story. Some would even make up a story to attract attention... if they need to step on some people to get there...  they will do it. It's easy to retract a story or to apologize,

than printing the truth from the start.  Angry

I can't believe that the media's not arrested for harassing and somewhat intimidating Satoshi.

Finding satoshi has become the most liked exercise for magazines to perform when they are looking for a quick click bait in hopes that they will sell more magazines, get more traffic and so on. So you can expect that there will be a lot more "satoshis" in the future, maybe 1 new satoshi per year at this rate.

Yep. Exactly what I'm trying to say.

I understand why people want to know who this Satoshi guy is, but what weighs more, his privacy or the need for information?
As stated he did not do anything wrong so let hem be anonymous..

Agree with Harry, but Media will not listen. Satoshi kept anonymous for a few years now  Smiley

That is called freedom of press. Although it may suck that they keep harassing people that might be satoshi, it is also a good thing when writing about more important global stuff that would otherwise be censored.

I agree that it would be better to leave him alone, even though I'm insanely curious to know who satoshi is ofcourse.

I don't see why so many people care who Satoshi is .... he clearly want to keep private so why are so many people trying to find out who he is ?

Could it just be that he has such a large amount of BTC ?

People love mysteries plus there is away the 'risk' that he still is among us or that he will dump their coins, so discover who satoshi is might relieve them

Just imagine all hype and media crap around Satoshi when Bitcoin reach five digits. I agree with OP, man should have his peace but mystery of his identity will sure attract more and more journalists to dig.

I agree completely with this. If this is know, when Bitcoin is not known as much, just imagine the tv documentaries, rumors, articles on magazines etc. if Bitcoin gets to be a mainstream currency.

Yeah it makes no sense.

Satoshi did not scam anybody nor any bad things. In fact he invented the first p2p network for digital payments.
Then he chose to stay anonymous, why can't we respect his decision...

I can't believe that the media's not arrested for harassing and somewhat intimidating Satoshi.

This is what happens when media is owned by the cheaters and government because nowadays media has become a platform to cover the scams of government and to divert public's attention from it. Now they are trying to target Bitcoin to save these corrupt bankers.

Yes it's kind of a witch hunt. But the witch unknown and again the media failed to find him.
I think there are many factors why so many people would like to know who he/she/they is/are.
Firstly it is this mindblowing invention which will disrupt so many industries the next coming years and would create so many enemies from these markets. It's like one phenomenon against an army.
Secondly it is the 1 million BTC which attract chasers like flies.

I hope satoshi will never be known! If he still has the private keys to the coins he deserves it and can do whatever he want with it.
The only thing I hope will never happen is a massive dump of these coins.

magazines and stuff cause they know it brings readers to their crap magazines and gives
them free advertising to bring up satoshi

Don't worry, we don't even know who is Satoshi. When the media's harassing and intimidating Satoshi, they are doing it to no one (because they don't know the target or the person that they are doing it for).
But they are harassing and intimidating someone, the person who they think is Satoshi but isn't. Look at Dorian for an example, he wasn't Satoshi, but everyone went after him about it and harassed the old man.

It is all hype created by media. They run out of hot topics and here we go - back to the standard "Hunt for Satoshi" theme. Identity of Satoshi is very interesting news, so it is hard to blame media and journalists for trying to uncover this secret. Even though they don't have any solid proofs and basically are running in circles - but show must go on.

Yeah these breaking news about Satoshi Nakamoto are designed to sell their newspapers and magazines and make them more money.

I'm personally of the opinion that there is no single person named Satoshi Nakamoto. I believe it is a group of people.

You can't blame the media for trying to identify someone though, curiosity gets the most of us sometimes. Harassment is crossing the line though - and what happened with Dorian Nakamoto was just wrong.
