What's the specs of your old computer?

Even in nice hash mining also you will find the profit more the direct pool mining.
I'll stay away on nicehash if I'm about to mine.  Roll Eyes I'm not holding electroneum and I don't know if its legit they promoted mobile mining before, I'm just reading the discussion below the link.

There's no way you can profit in mining bitcoin now whether it's in mobile/GPU/asic miner unless you have hundreds to thousands of it a huge building/room but if you only have 1-5 units then just stop thinking about it.

But if you will refer to some cryptocurrencies then there are some, where you can still profit whether its a mobile CPU or GPU mining. Just search in google and you can found it.

Dude I am not sure you are in dream or just answering the question. I have seen that you have mentioned mining with the mobile, GPU and asic works on bitcoin mining. Due to high difficulty and less hash power, even mining cards will not allow you find the profit on mining bitcoins.
If you have got the antminer s7 or s6 also good at mining bitcoin directly with the pool.
Even in nice hash mining also you will find the profit more the direct pool mining.
You can't make a small profit in mining bitcoin, but mining with altcoin GPU mining could gives you a good profit that you can exchange into bitcoin.

Mobile mining could damage your phone fast without reaching ROI.

Asic mining still profitable that is why there are many manufacturers promoting their new Asic hardware with higher hash rate, but because of the huge amount of miners, difficulty keeps increasing until the profit of every miner decreases. Same as GPU mining, the good thing in GPU mining there are many supported algo's that you can switch any time if what are coins are profitable to mine.

it is best no to try to mine anything on your smart phone (mobile). they are not designed to do something like that even though their GPUs may be strong enough to generate minimal hashpower for you to join a mining pool and get some dust out of it. you will also be risking overheating your device and your battery and reduce the life of both of them. the damage and the cost of it is not worth the amount you may or may not earn.

Like they said, there's nothing you can use to earn $2 daily using an old computer or android devices.

But since you're a newbie (Yes Jrs are newbies too).
You might be talking about those micro-earnings like faucet sites that rewards Satoshi.

Try coinpot.co, after registration, go to bitcoins (menu) and select "Mine Bitcoin" to earn some satoshi depending on your hashrate.
Take note that this is not a "Real" mining operation but a kind of a gimmick (CoinHive-based), but the site rewards you satoshis instead of XMR.
You can claim to their faucets too, use the developer's referral links (from their ANN Thread) if you want to "thank" them at least.

Just don't expect higher than $1 a day using that old computer alone (You'll pay more electric bill than the reward  Roll Eyes).
@OP - You can try this one since it is very easy to deal with. All you need to do is click the "Mine" button and Presto! You can now earn fractions of btc (which is satoshi) passively. But, there's a tendency you might encounter technical problems such as having a lag computer because its GPU is not high enough to suit for mining purposes.

When it comes to claiming free satoshis in their faucets (e.g moonbitcoin, moonlitecoin etc.), you need to visit and claim from time to time. If you are thinking that waiting for long and hoping that the reward you'll get will accumulate and became big then I'll tell you frankly, it's not; because the rate of giving rewards becomes slower as you less frequently claim.

Like what sir nc50lc said, you cannot earn $1 - $2 through this. Aside from getting larger electric bills than to your rewards, this is also time-consuming compare to other ways of earning btc.

Furthermore, I know a mobile app where you can mine directly. Actually this app is a digital wallet for Electeoneum that has a built-in miner. But again, it only gives very small amount per day.

Well to make couple dollars you are going to need a computer with you, if you don't have it then you won't be able to get that much, mobile apps also won't able to make you earn that much, plus you will ruined your gadget, it's very rare for people to used mobile to mine, because the results were really little

Even good computer will not allow you to find the bitcoin mining is possible there. I am not sure whether you mean about cheap alt mining or bitcoin mining. There are people mining cheap alts with the personal computers.
When you go to use the computer for mining purposes then you will find the electricity cost goes bugger in the market.
Better you guys don't mine at all. Else you will be under trouble for long time to manage it.
When we do try to read up the topic title then its clearly being said that he would tend to mine bitcoins with the use of cpu or mobile phone which it is really an impossible thing and as being said it would really need a significant apparatus on such mining operation. For cheap mining then graphics card would be used but only on mining altcoins but for bitcoin you will really need asic miners which are really costly and took always having consideration on electricity cost because profitability is mainly affected with this expense.

If you have old computer and want to do mining with that or use mobile mining, then forget it, because its impossible to earn that much with your old computer or with your phone. But, You can still make $2 or even more than that with your old computer, do freelance and you can earn more than $2 each work.

I didn't hear any mobile apps that can make you $2 to $3 USD and for CPU mining it would be hard to mine bitcoin or even altcoin to make $2 or $3
You need a high sped machine to mine bitcoin like ASIC hardware to mine bitcoin or newer GPU's to mine altcoin to make $2 if you have GTX 1080ti you can mine with Verge and make $2 daily.

For mobile there are some apps that can gives you few bitcoins by doing task like paid to click or survey but if you are living in 3rd world country you can only get lower task and it would be hard to reach the $2.

I suggest you to try joining in any bounties here in the forum, it might help you to earn few bucks once its release it to any exchanges.

You can't make any money from mining Bitcoin without an ASIC device.

Ordinary PCs have been useless for mining Bitcoin for a few years now.  You will lose money in electricity and damage to your computer, and any software that claims that it will make you profit from Bitcoin mining with your PC is very likely to be malware.

If you want to use your PC for mining, check out the altcoin mining section.

If you want to try and mine Bitcoin, check out BITMAIN and other ASIC providers.  It'll be expensive though, and without cheap electricity you'll probably end up losing money.

I don't think there is such a thing, because if there was, I'd be all over it. But yeah, I have some websites where you can earn some money like that, fiverr and steemit are the first ones to come to my mind.

Also, there is a softeare like that but you probably don't have the required hardware. :/ Check out those those websites I've mentioned above.

It is steemkr right huh mate. I have surfed about it and found this one only has the option to mine the coins with the CPU but I do not find this is a profitable one. I see and read that mining consumes large volume of the electricity for it.
If you mine with the computer it takes the hash power from the gpu cards you have on it and you may able to choose the whatever the amount of CPU cores mate. It is all about the coins worth-electricity consumption's cost=profit.

Ahmed.

There are plenty of software available in the market but that is not meant for mobile or CPU mining with bitcoin's algorithm. There is no issue on mining bitcoin but the issue hashes will not be enough for the bitcoin mining with the CPU or even GPU cards now.
If you want to mine the cryptos with the computer you can use the minergate software.
I think still you can mine the bytecoin still in the market.
