How does one set up a CPU mining program? Ive been doing all of my bit coin mining personally, with minimum success, get back to me guys thanks!

Your either joking or haven't read this or any other thread about mining Bitcoin with a CPU or GPU.  Which is it?

Can someone tell me, why GPU mining is better then CPU mining?? It's so strangely, i think.

OP, please chime in and clarify if this is a Bitcoin or Altcoin topic?
Honestly, I don't think it's either.  It's more of a general computing question.  I mean, he could have asked, "Why does a GPU render graphics better than a CPU?"

Sure, but if he wanted to know how to make the most of a CPU and/or a GPU the altcoin forum would give him allot better information.  But it looks like he abandoned the thread anyway.

Why does a GPU render graphics better than a CPU anyway?

That is funny Smiley

GPU's are better for hashing most algorithms. There are still some CPU only coins though (I believe) because developing a GPU miner for them would take too much time to be worth it.

Because GPU is much faster then CPU but they both sucks in mining anyway..

GPUs can perform 'stupid' operations faster while consuming far less energy in the process. Graphics operations are - computational-wise - rather boring and simple operations. When they're configured to perform the mining algorithms, they outperform CPUs easily. But ASICs are even better. They're specifically designed to do those calculations and consume even less energy.

Since nobody actually answered your question, let me.  GPU mining is better than CPU mining because a GPU can far better handle parallel processing.

I had assumed he was talking about Bitcoin mining since he posted his question in the Bitcoin forum.

Using your personal computer, wheter it is CPU or GPU, it's only useful at the very beginings of a coin launch or when a coin goes unnoticed for a while thus being still somewhat mineable in terms of ROI. Beyond this, after big players enter the mining game on any coin it's useless henceforth. The last time I made any relevant gains was with DOGE in the first days when everyone tought it was a joke. This is basically the only time I did any gains. Oh I also could have made 2BTC off the AUR bubble, but didn't sell. It's basically a waste of time and a lot of luck to mine the right coin at the right time. Ideally you want to be part of instamines like the DRK one, then cash out for BTC.

Both CPU and GPU mining are a useless waste of time now.  Here is a link for mining hardware comparison.
