I've got a simple question.

Why?

Why do you want to create a new gambling platform when there are hundreds already. Why not speak to the current owners of a reputed platform and seek to invest there? Your time or your money. That way you know you would be investing into something that is already working instead of taking a leap of faith and busting... Huh

Let him launch one, don't discourage him, gambling is a multi-billion-dollar industry and there will be not enough gambling site to cater to millions of people gambling online, if this is his goal and his dream to set up one, then let's support him for doing so, every one of us is unique and wants to achieve something and not because the industry has so much on it that his concept of a gambling do not a have a space in the industry.

In business it would really need for you to take risk since we know on what would be the result if the said gambling site would succeed and imagine on how much money would be generated if ever the said gambling site will progress or being considered by the public.

Its a risk or a gamble so we cant really blame him if he do decide to make a shot for this field but same as said this wont really be an easy one considering there were lots of crash games currently and offering something is really a big challenge.

I'm creating a crypto gambling site, about a week ago I posted a thread that reached out to everyone asking what they think the most important principles are in such a site and I began to work off that.

I'd like to create a thread (this one) to mark progress as I finish things and show bits and pieces to get feedback on it when needed.

    Also, I'm actively looking for:
    • Advisors - People who have been around for a while in the scene and want to help shape the product
    • Investors - People who are interested in the first round of investments

If you use Skype, I'd love for you to add me! Mine is live:.cid.66b94957843d7ed3

    A bit about the site:
    • Will be a crash-only site to start - will not be just another bustabit clone
    • BTC + ETH to begin with
    • Stats first - will have a lot of graphs and data for you to analyze
    • Fast - UI and Latency wise
    • Provably Fair
    • Mobile ready
    • Investments - Will be able to invest in the bankroll

*Decided on Oct 9, to no longer do ETH-only first but instead include BTC on the initial release. [/list]

Everyone who wants to set up a gambling site should do it this way, ask the community of gamblers what they want because, in the end, it's the gambler who will decide where they want to play and what features they want to see in a gambling site, if you ask me provably fair dedicted server and low house edge is very desirable to achieve stats and data is good additional too.

I'm pretty sure that you are going to do good here because you have an idea what a good gambling site is and you have asked the gambling community for feedback and recommendations after it is finished and comes out good, allocates a budget for bounty campaign, you need this for people to know how good your gambling site is.
It seems there is a lot of money made from gambling because in the last few days, I have seen alot of people with proposals and plans of creating a gambling site. I don’t think this is a bad idea anyway but I honestly gambling is a dirty job that should be avoided at all cost.

I read through the post and every point he made sound quite reasonable but we can’t conclude yet because it’s still a written document, waiting for execution and implementation but I hope it comes out a successful project and as many with plans of owning a gambling site, I wish you luck but for me, I am just cool with been a regular gambler and no intention of owning a site because in as much as gambling operators make money, I would say the money is not pure because it’s gotten from the loses of others.

I own both BTC and ETH as well as a few other crypto and alternative digital assets, some of which I've used many times for betting going back to 2014.   I used to bet alot more then I do now but I'm interested in the process and obstacles that are in the path of setting up games.
The first decision is really what area of betting do you hope to go forward with, I think the very first crypto gambling was just automated dice games.   I'm most interested in esports gambling especially in the games I might play myself but the whole range in interesting.   I have a few ideas but I'll read back the thread as well.

There are so many crash game right now I wonder what would you add up in order to stand out on all of the older crash game site.
I knew that there is some crash game that already have some competition which like the highest winner would get a reward weekly and so does the highest loser I think.
So what would you put on your side to catch some of the old crash game gambler?

please install a faucet like what the majority of gambling sites are doing so people can test some of the games
you can always test a gambling site with a zero balance based on my own experience playing on different sites and also majority of gambling sites didnt have a faucet or they have a faucet before but lately they removed it because of many abusers  .

abusers only use faucet claims to play and wont deposit any amount which results for a site to loose and not only that but itll also slows down the site which is a hassel for legit players

Looks good and promising you really know some of the best features of gambling site and you are ready to implement it, please install a faucet like what the majority of gambling sites are doing so people can test some of the games, and more contest like what they do on Onehash and if you still have a budget, launch a campaign here in Bitcointalk so people will know your gambling site

... I think you really should make a faucet, at least for people who are the first ones to visit and test your website.
A faucet would be good to attract potential customers or might as well conduct  daily raffle draws with crypto as a price to keep them coming back. I think they would also be glad if you could produce something unique and enjoyable!

Maybe you could also conduct a survey targeted on online gamblers about their preferences, likes and dislikes so that  you can  have a clear insight on their particular needs that will serve as a vital information needed to build a good gambling platform.

Also, if you know Zynga Poker, they seem to have good marketing strategy and promotions that keeps the players coming back and I thought you might get some pointers in there too.  Smiley

          Bitcoin FTW!
After lots of mentions of how I should include BTC in the release, I will be doing so! I had no idea how much people prefer BTC over ETH to gamble with. Perhaps you just have more of in stock?

Yes, I own more BTC than I do ETH, and I'm currently keeping most of my ETH in cold storage which makes it a bit difficult to transact with it at the moment. BTC's got relatively high fees sometimes and I mainly keep my other coins such as Litecoin and ETH for transacting with when those times come up. Also make sure your wallets are compatible with SegWit and aren't legacy wallets (start with 1). You'll save money in fees from doing so, as will your users.

Accepting multiple coins for deposits (XRP, LTC, ETH, etc.) is also pretty standard across most crypto-based casinos nowadays, though you don't need a lot of them implemented right at launch. Launching deposits and withdrawals over time would be sufficient. Some sites also accept tokens, though there's a much smaller userbase for most tokens.

Every investors who loves to invest on gambling field will always go with Bitcoin majorly and for secondary option vecancy yttrium and if they own native currency that one will be used.
If you create your own gambling platform will be splendid Idea and users will get increased in Big numbers when you do it a legit way.

Sounds like a decent platform on paper, though I'm probably going to wait to test your site out 'till you add Bitcoin deposits in. Additionally, I assume by your advertising not being a 'Bustabit clone', you aren't going to use the main parts of the bustabit source code to make your crash game? There's really not much that could make you stand out from the rest of the hundreds of crash sites currently out there accepting crypto tbh, though your basic description of the site makes it seem somewhat attractive. Are there any unique aspects of your game that aren't already implemented in other crash games?

Yes there is one main thing that sets this aside from others but I can't share that yet.
This is also something I wanted to write about because I've seen websites saying they are not bustabit clowns when in fact they are, so it better really be something outstanding to distinguish your website from a ton of others. I like the crash game, so I'll be happy to see another website dedicated to it. An opportunity of investing in a bankroll is also a good thing. I think you really should make a faucet, at least for people who are the first ones to visit and test your website. It does not have to be big, it just has to be enough to make a few bets. As for advisors, I think you can just share your ideas on bitcointalk and ask for feedback. This way you'll be able to see the whole picture, not the views of one experienced person.

And also doge. I believe many people will like to have doge on your platform. The tx fee in doge is minimal as compared to btc or eth. But can wait since you are only in the planning stage for now. But might want to consider doge or lightning network.

Good luck on your plan, and I suggest to study the competition well as there's a lot of gambling sites in the market already but only few are popular.
I am not posting to discourage you but I am telling the reality so you could adjust and stay realistic with your plans to launch a new site.

If this is your ANN, it should be transferred or move to gambling.  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0)

Well I'm not trying to market this or anything.. Nor do I even have a site yet. So this is more of a discussion no?

I don't see how ethereum only can be a much better experience than the use of bitcoin for gambling, I have always been playing with bitcoin and on few occasions have played with ethereum or altcoin.
In creating your gambling platform as a starter try to give more bonus on bets and make your platform user friendly
